My mother and father were in assisted living there for several years. We went from a suite of rooms down to finally a single room. The management always helped us downgrade and even though we had to move to lower priced rooms the care always stayed high. They tried mightly to help my mother keep up her art and crafting active right to the end. Blessings upon them.

My mother is in the assisted living part of Kingston. She has lived at other places, but this is by far the most caring place that she has lived. If she isn’t seen around doing her normal routine, someone is always checking in on her. They will remind her to go to a meal if she forgets, call or escort her to her favorite activity, and if she doesn’t show up for a meal, they will bring it to her room. This is not something that you will find at most places. Another strong point for Kingston for me is that there is a nurses station on each floor and there is a doctor that will see my mother right there without having to take her somewhere. There is transportation if you choose to send your loved one outside of the residence but it is so much better for my mother who has dementia to use their resident’ doctor and not have to leave Kingston.

Kingston Residence of Hickory is a WONDERFUL option for senior living. Whether you are looking for Independent Living OR if you need assistance with various medical needs, Kingston has much to offer, including 24 hour licensed nurses in a lovely setting! There is so much to do with a FULL event and activity calendar, and the staff are really wonderful. If you haven't visited Kingston, I highly recommend that you do if you are looking for a senior care community!

Kingston Residence of Hickory is the best Independent & Assisted Living Community in the area! They offer 24/7 nursing care (if & when you need it), ALL private rooms/apartments, a physican & nurse practitioner on site several days a week, and so many more amenities I can't even list! The staff are friendly, professional & caring - you couldn't ask for anything more! I recommend Kingston Residence of Hickory to anyone looking for a place for themselves or a loved one - whether you're looking to join a retirement community or now find that your medical needs are beginning to be just a bit too much to handle by yourself at home - Kingston is the place to be! You won't be disappointed!

My grandfather has been at Kingston for 6 years. It is always super clean, hallways smell great (unlike most adult-care facilities), and it is very nice place. I can't count the number of smiling faces on residents and the joy the employees have for taking care of their residents. The employees treat the residents like family and it shows in the little things they do. The food is pretty good too. They went above and beyond in helping put together my grandfather's 100th birthday party and it was a joyous occasion for everyone. I can't thank them enough. If you are in the Hickory area, Kingston is hands down the place to go for senior living.
