My Mom and I recently toured Westmont of Encinitas. Before touring, I had an opportunity to talk with Kitty Castillo several times on the phone. She was consistently kind and fun to talk with, but more importantly, she is extremely knowledgeable about retirement communities. She was very generous with her time and shared her knowledge and answered all of our questions. The tour itself was very pleasant. The facility is clean, cheerful, tastefully decorated and feels like an upscale hotel. The apartments are also very comfortable and attractive. We toured several places, but Westmont of Encinitas really stood out to us.

Westmont of Encinitas My three kids and I spent several months evaluating and visiting Long Term Care facilities for our Wife/Mom. The last place we visited - Westmont Of Encinitas - we all agreed was the best. The friendly vibe and the upbeat decor were unique. Her six months of occupancy at Westmont have confirmed our first impressions. The staff are unfailingly friendly and helpful - a tribute to their dedication as well as management's personnel selection, training and supervision. The occupants are friendly and welcoming to new residents - which provides the desired inclusion of new residents. The facility and the staff are all first-rate. We feel our selection of Westmont of Encinitas was indeed the best possible choice and would recommend anyone needing Long Term Care should include this on their final selection and evaluation list.

We recently had the pleasure of working with the Community Relations Director at Westmont of Encinitas. Sandie Montgomery met with us and our client, a U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran. We wish to share our experience and express our deep appreciation for the outstanding service provided by Ms. Montgomery and the community staff. What stood out most in our initial meeting was Sandie's engaging and personable nature. She built a warm rapport with the gentleman, making him feel heard, valued, and understood. Her ability to connect on a personal level created a sense of trust and reliability. Our client was looking for a 2 bedroom unit so his family would be able to visit, close to friends and his medical services. Fortunately a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit on the ground level had just become available, so we scheduled a tour right away. There was no comparison with other apartments we had viewed in the area. The unit has a full kitchen, full sized washer & dryer and fresh, modern amenities. Right away he stated that he wouldn't find anything better, so Westmont of Encinitas has become his new home. After living there a month, he has met many fellow military vets and engaged in the veterans group that meets regularly. Friends and family are thrilled that he has settled in and has been welcomed into a warm and friendly community. In a field where empathy is crucial, Sandie exemplified it effortlessly. Her dedication to serving seniors and military veterans, a population that often faces unique challenges, reflects her commitment to going above and beyond for the residents she serves. The Directors there care so much about the residents and are always available to discuss any issues or concerns from staff, residents, families or outside partners. The entire staff collaborates to make it the best experience for all those who live and visit there. Westmont of Encinitas is a beautiful community with pleasant residents and a very competent/supportive staff. I'm the director of rehab/physical therapist at Westmont of Encinitas. I work for a rehab company called EmpowerMe Wellness that partners with communities like Westmont Living. EmpowerMe Wellness offers onsite physical/occupational/speech therapy rehab services for residents living at Westmont of Encinitas. I've been working at Westmont of Encinitas since the opening in July 2021 and have had a very positive experience so far. Randal (community executive director) is extremely knowledgeable, approachable, easy to talk to, and an excellent manager. Katie (community nursing director) and her nursing staff are exceptional! Anisa (community activity director) does a great job with resident activity planning. Sandy (community move-in coordinator) is amazing and is extremely helpful during the move in process. I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends!

We moved an elderly family member into Westmont of Encinitas about a month ago and we all love it here. In addition to the facilities being beautiful and brand new and cheery, everyone is so sweet and caring. That includes not only the staff but also the other residents. This community is very full of life and there are lots of activities happening all the time. It is a wonderful place. Our family member needs a lot of assistance and the care has been very attentive and helpful. I would like to mention in particular Isela who is one of the caregivers and is wonderful all the time. We feel very fortunate to have found Westmont of Encinitas.

My experience at Westmont has been truly one the most exceptional examples of service, kindness, competence and caring. I toured several communities for my mother before arriving to Westmont. While the building, the rooms, and setting were beautiful (and much nicer than any I'd seen), it was the people that made the difference. Kitty and Randal could not have been more wonderful. They made this very difficult process much easier, and a really positive. They responded with email and texts immediately and provided both logistical and even emotional support the entire time. The staff is consistently cheerful, nice and helpful -- honestly every single person I've met!! This is an exceptional place and I cannot recommend it enthusiastically enough. I am so grateful for Westmont.

Westmont of Encinitas provides a safe, supportive, and enjoyable environment for my mother, who needs assistance with some daily activities. The on-site services and amenities are excellent, including the gym and physical therapy, the dining room, the theater, the outdoor spaces, and more. We haven't yet needed assistance going off-site, but it's nice to know that these services are available when needed. Additionally, all the staff, from the healthcare providers to administration to food service and more, are kind, well-trained, and compassionate professionals who are dedicated to providing high-quality care to residents. I feel tremendously reassured about my mother's safety and the care she receives. The resident community is welcoming and engaging, and scheduled recreational activities encourage socialization and participation. The facility is new; the common areas are well-maintained, and the apartments are well-appointed. Overall, Westmont of Encinitas provides great care and support for my mother in a safe environment while also promoting her independence and building a sense of community.

My dad moved into Westmont Encinitas approx. 2 months ago. Kitty was so helpful in providing referrals for services to make his move as smooth as possible. Randall was patient in answering all my questions as he walked me through the paperwork. When we finished unpacking the kitchen was closing. "Z" insisted we sit down, relax, and provided us with a hot meal. Carlos made sure that my dad had internet and TV. Dad no longer has to travel for hair cuts, podiatry... because he can have these services right at Westmont. LifeLoop keeps me informed of social gatherings that dad is attending. He's making friends and has settled in. And, I have peace of mind 🙂

Westmont of Encinitas is a delightful communal residence. My mother had been reluctant to move into a senior living community, but here she can still be independent in her beautiful, spacious, light-filled apartment, but also benefit from communal dining and the many social activities on offer every day. The atmosphere at Westmont is welcoming and cheerful, and the building is clean and bright. Kitty Castillo, the Community Relations Director, is warm and gracious, and was marvelous at helping us navigate the move to Westmont from afar. Indeed, all the staff members are exceptionally friendly and helpful, and seem to genuinely enjoy interacting with and caring for the residents. Anisa, the Lifestyle Director, has put together a wonderful array of activities to engage the residents, and is open to incorporating new ideas based on their interests. As someone who lives far from Encinitas I particularly appreciate Westmont's communication tool, Lifeloop, which allows me to see what social events my mother is participating in, and to view the calendar of upcoming activities or outings on offer. I feel very fortunate to have found Westmont of Encinitas for my mother, and would highly recommend this facility to anyone searching for a communal residence.

Working with Westmont to get my parents admitted was an extremely smooth process from start to finish. I worked specifically with Kitty Castillo, the Community Services Director, and she is an absolute joy! She is extremely personable, kind, professional, and most of all, caring. It is evident how much Kitty and all of the staff at Westmont genuinely care about the residents and this is reflected in the high quality care given not only to my parents, but all of the residents. Additionally, the staff are always receptive to any questions my family has and always willing to work with us on any special requests we have to provide care for my parents. The facility is exceptionally beautiful, and my parents love how new and updated everything is. It has been a huge sigh of relief knowing that my parents have everything they need and are well cared for. Their quality of life has dramatically improved since moving to Westmont on Jan 2023. Suffice it to say, we are so happy we found Westmont and could not imagine a better place for them to be!

We recently had the opportunity to help a friend locate her new home. We visited many communities and kept revisiting Westmont. The atmosphere felt welcoming and upbeat. I met with Kitty, the director, and she really added to the feeling that "this is the right place." Kitty was incredibly helpful, patient, and informative. The staff is friendly and sincere. The facility is immaculate and uplifting. Local art fills the walls, tv screens conveniently located showing all the abundant activities. The activity director is open to ideas for additional outings and activities. They offer an extensive and changing menu of very nicely prepared meals. And, can't forget the apartments! They are so well done! Light filled, high ceilings, cheerful, and well appointed. It appears to us that Westmont put a lot of effort into creating an environment that people would feel safe, cared for, and happy! Our friend has moved in and is delighted!

Westmont greeted my husband and me by our names each time a staff member saw us. I am not a resident, but came to visit and care for a former resident. The employees went out of their way to make the resident comfortable and keep the family informed of any health issues or personal needs. The residents always enjoyed the singing and piano playing on Thursdays. Dining staff was always friendly and helpful. When more personal care was needed for our resident, it was given with compassion and genital care. Finally when our resident passed, a framed picture was set upon the piano so others can remember him. Thank you Westmont for taking such great care of our special person.

We moved my grandmother to Westmont in October of 2021. She was not happy about the move and proved to be a difficult resident for the dedicated staff. Unfortunately, soon after she began settling in her new home, her physical and cognitive health made a rapid decline and she passed in February of 2022. Looking back on the whole experience with Westmont, my main takeaway is that I wish we had moved her sooner. As Charlie said in our first meeting, everyone wants to live out their life independently in their own home, but that is not the reality for many seniors and I think many of us underestimate the impact of the isolation associated with living independently. My grandmother would have benefitted greatly from the socialization and extra care had we convinced her to make the move into community living years before. My family and I are so grateful to the Staff at Westmont for helping us at every turn and would recommend this community to anyone looking for assisted living for a family member.
