My wife has dementia, Alzheimer's disease. Last month, I needed to travel out of state, and my wife stayed at Riverway assisted living and memory care for one week. This was our first experience with an assisted living/memory care facility. After visiting and touring the facility we felt comfortable with the cleanliness of the facility, the amenities, and specially the wonderful staff. Everyone come from the front desk staff to the caregivers, was incredibly accommodating, kind and helpful. Cindy patiently answered all of our questions, showed us the room, and explained the services they provide. Mickie was very helpful with the paperwork process, and I appreciated Kirsten's daily text updates about my wife's activities and overall condition. The care, communication and kindness from everyone made a difficult situation much easier for our family.

I cannot sing praises sweet enough to express the Gratitude I have for the care staff at Riverway. They truly care and love my mother. She has lived here for about 5 years, she has a rare genetic disease that causes early dementia and strokes. We wanted her to have a place she could make long term memories before an inevitable big stroke. It was the best decision we made for her. No longer having to worry about her accidentally over or underdosing meds, having someone there 24hr in case of stroke or falls. She has made the deepest friendships of her life here. What a blessing! The people who work here are truly amazing, the admin know every single resident by name and their quirks. Recently my mother fell and broke her hip and then fell and had a brain bleed (at no fault of the facility), the fall cameras in room allowed for speedy care. Thank you Mickie, Meg, Lisa, Karen and all the other care staff for the superb care, love, and attention you have given to my mother and our family over the years. °

When looking for an assisted living for my parents, we looked at several different places. Riverways was by far the best as far as friendliness of staff, pricing, apartment sizes, and activities. Miki, Meg, and Cindy all went above and beyond to work with us and answer any questions we had. My parents have been there for about 8 months now and we have been so pleased with their care. Everyone from direct caregivers, medical staff, cooks, house keepers, receptionists, maintenance and administration have all been wonderful. My mom has Alzheimers and the staff work so well with her and her needs. My parents love all of their friends at Riverways. It feels like one big family. On a scale of 1-10, I give it a 20!

When my mom needed to move into assisted living me and my dad checked over half a dozen places. My dad chose Riverway because of the size (not too big or too small), the rooms were clean, it smelled good and was clean, but mostly he chose it because of the staff. They moved in together and lived there over 3 years until my mom passed away. My dad stayed another 3 1/2 years and just passed away last week. The staff at Riverway always treated my parents like one of their own family. I am going to miss going there multiple times a week.

We recently moved my mother into Riverway. I can’t say enough about the attention, our family received from the staff. Jenn and Mickie were absolutely outstanding in getting my mother set up quickly but also for their greeting and caring attitude with my brother and I. We had many questions and received detailed and courteous responses to all of them. From the moment my mother arrived, the staff bent over backwards with kindness and made my mother feel appreciated and help transition her into her new home. All of the staff that assist her have been terrific and express a kindness to her that makes having her there a blessing. Residents are socializing and they as well as my mother are involved in the activities planned for them. I highly recommend Riverway for the safe environment and caring staff.

We moved my father into Riverway in the memory care side. My sister and I both were apprehensive about having him join a place outside of his home. But our mom was having difficulty caring for him on her own. Our experience with Riverway from the start, in speaking with Jen was a blessing. Our difficult decision was alleviated upon meeting Jen and seeing the facility. Memory care is so important for your loved one and the staff expressed a kindness that was top notch. My dad always has a smile on his face when we visit him, and we feel that was a testament to the staff. We have already received so many photos of our dad with some of the fun activities that are done for the residents. Our favorite photos are with many of the animals they bring to visit the residents. I'm thankful to have the opportunity to leave a review for Riverway. We found Riverway while searching for somewhere to take care of my mother-in-law, after receiving a diagnosis of dementia. Her condition had rapidly declined after a six week(ish) stay at a psych hospital (that place should be shut down). We were scared, anxious stressed & heartbroken. We had no previous experience with any of it and didn't know what to look for or what questions to ask. However, that all changed when we went to Riverway. It took one visit and we were immediately calmed and genuinely felt this was the right place. We were met at the door by friendly staff for a meeting with Jen. Jen is a beautiful person full of love and knowledge. She was "THE" reason we chose Riverway. She has such a way with people and has spent most her life working with dementia patients. After our meeting, I believe my face showed how I was feeling inside. Not even knowing me she hugged me tightly. She acknowledged the difficulty in our situation and told me everything would be alright. Who does that for anyone anymore? Jen is one in a million and we will be forever thankful for her. ™ We soon moved our Mother into a room in their memory care unit. TBH it was a lot to get used to, getting to know the staff, how the place works, etc. When our mother moved in her condition started to rapidly decline. We knew how hard moves are on patients. Our mother's was very difficult for her. She never wanted to be at Riverway, but only because she wanted to go home. She would've felt that way no matter her location. I visited her often, sometimes every other day. I found it easy to get to know and love her nurses. They were friendly, compassionate, and kind. There were a few nurses that were very close to our Mother, I watched them take care of her and comfort her. I wish I remembered each of their names because I believe they seriously deserve the shout-out for going above and beyond. The memory unit, the nurses, doctor and other residents were quite the little family. I will forever be humbled and in awe of how the residents looked out for each other. It was so tender, it brought much joy. Our mother presented difficult to manage symptoms, she experienced severe agitation, and could not sit still. She had to walk, often pacing the walls, all day long. Our mother fell often as she refused her walker. I brought up this story because you need to know MICKIE, she is the care director for Riverway. For us to say she went above and beyond is an understatement. There was a time she literally got down on the floor & laid with our mom after a brutal fall. MICKIE is unbelievable, her knowledge, dedication, compassion, and love will always be remembered. She is extremely dedicated to the care provided. Thanks MICKIE. Couldn't have done this without you. ™ Other important things to know, the place was unbelievably clean, every time I was there they were removing garbage, cleaning rooms, bathrooms and the common areas. I was often present at meal time and the food was nutritional and delicious. Often residents wanted more! The staff often went and got soup & other things for our mother when her ability to swallow worsened. They always had activities like arts & crafts, they played trivia games, watched movies, had song time, went outside, & could join many other activities going on in the assisted living unit. Simply, Riverway loves their residents & makes every effort to correct any concerns as quickly as possible. They are always kind and courteous. This place is as close to home as your loved one can get. One thing I would suggest is improvement in communication with the hospice nurse. We experienced a lack of clear and regular updates. Everything said, Riverway was an experience we will never forget, full of people who care deeply about providing your loved one with unlimited love and compassion. Our time there was not long as our mother passed in Jan. We couldn't have found a better place for her to call home. ™ Thank you Riverway.

By happenstance, we found Riverway Assisted Living Center in South Jordan, Utah. We were looking for a facility for my aunt who was suffering from Parkinson’s disease and dementia. Riverway happened to have a room opening in the assisted living center and we were able to move her in within a week. Unfortunately, my aunt’s dementia advanced quickly and she had to be moved to Riverway’s memory care unit and ultimately Hospice was called in. We were very lucky to have found Riverway. All the staff is caring, knowledgeable, compassionate, and friendly “ from kitchen staff to skilled nursing “ to the front desk workers - everyone was awesome in this very welcoming surrounding. The center does not have a hospital-like sterile climate, it is very home-like and more than we could have hoped for. While my aunt’s stay was short, we were very pleased with everything Riverway offered. The staff’s love for their job and for the residents was very evident and appreciated. I give a very high recommendation to Riverway and its dedicated staff and if the need ever arose again I would choose Riverway Assisted Living and Memory Care.

From the moment we first met with the Riverway staff, we knew that Mom was in good hands. And, over the next two and a half years in the Memory Care Unit while Mom was there, she received exception care from the CNAs and the other staff that we will always be grateful to. Additionally, Mom loved the food, the activities, and her living quarters, which she would frequently call, "home". We were initially very hesitant to place Mom in a care center. However, as soon as we saw her quickly integrate with the whole experience we knew it was the right thing for her to be surrounded by others (both residents and staff) that she referred to as "my friends." Riverway was very flexible with our visits, our taking her out for the day. Mom on several instances did not want to leave the center for the day or an evening, and she was always eager to return to her "home." We will be forever grateful to the Riverway for taking care of Mom the way they did! Thank you, Riverway!

Deciding that it’s time for your parent to have some assistance with everyday living is not an easy decision. We wanted our mom to be as independent as possible, but know that help was there for her when she needed it. Finding just the right fit seemed like a daunting task, until we met Jenn at Riverway. I LOVE THIS PLACE. To make a long story short my mom was told to leave the facility she was at for almost two years because she was declining with her Dementia, yes i was worried but somehow this amazing women i know found this amazing place with the Director being someone i knew from moms other place so i knew we were going to be in good hands. This place is so beautiful with wonderful staff and management that care and i believe Love the patients there. They are indeed like family. Everything is great the rooms, the food, the activities, the staff. IF i could show my happy tears on here i would because it has given me such great joy and my stress is gone. I want to thank all the staff and management and i would recommend this place to everyone that has a loved one with Alzheimer. I could go on about how i feel but the most important is that mom is safe and being taken care of by people, by great people that care and love what they are doing. Thank you for caring Riverway.. My mother just passed away on March 20 2019 so I wanted to add to my post about the staff in the memory care side. They are all just amazing. I dont know how else to say it they all are so giving, loving and understanding even in bad times for the family or the patient they handle themselfs with great attitude. I want to give out a big shout out to Scotty who took care of mom in the evening and during her last week he was so wonderful my family just loved him and the man the he worked with also I just cant recall his name right now, Leslie and Surray, they gave much love during the day and Brittany gave me the love. Every time i walked in i got love so it is like HOME. Jenn Mcbeth thank you for you wonderful talkings and teachings with me I love you, and a very big shout out to my Hospice team from Aspen Ridge i would recommend them to anyone who is in need.

I was talking to my brother who lives here and he gives it a 4 star rating. He says that he likes that he gets his own room and has made good friends that live here too. There are a couple of the CNAs that are really good. He tells me that sometimes he feels that the staff are a little slow in responding to when he pages them or in doing things that staff says they will. But he seems to understand that they are busy people.
