Highly recommend Legacy Villiage. My mother recently decided to move into the independent living apartments. Every step of the process was smooth and easy. The staff are all so helpful, kind, and patient with all of residents. I visit frequently and I witness their kindness to all of the residents not just my mother. The food is amazing and the dining staff are exceptional. This is exceptional Senior living. The amenities are endless.

I noticed they don't have a lot of help during the day. My resident's brief is not changed during the day. He has incontinence so it's really an issue. I had to speak to the lady in charge in our area that my resident smelled of urine many times when I came to visit. For some reason they seem to be short-handed during the day. And the turnover has been very high. Not sure what is going on, but it's usually they are not paying their people enough. Things have gotten a little better so I've increased my review to Three stars. I found that some of their problems were caused by staff that did not log things taken from the supply closet which caused them to be short of supplies for residents that had signed up for the service. I told Legacy that until they have a better system to remove us from that service and I will start bringing briefs and supplies again. When I came by to see my companion on February 9th, there was only one brief. I asked for more because he was running out. I come back on Wednesday the 11th of February and there's still just one brief. Makes me wonder what's going on. Also there was no wipes. These are all supposed to be supplied so decreasing a star on my review. The restaurant has improved with more help and food is better. After submitting my negative review I did receive a call and email from legacy. I voiced my concerns and things are better for my companion. We will see if it continues . Giving them more stars for now. What is happening you guys were such a nice place and staff wonderful but there's not enough staff and the restaurant downstairs I took my resident there one evening we barely got waited on I had a bug in my salad and it was gritty something is going on with Legacy please don't let this happen. We've been there a year and a half everything was good but now I'm not sure if we'll stay or not please do something. Continued: I visited 01/21/2026 and my resident was wet and dirty. I got one of the briefs they supply and it was 2 sizes to big. He wears a small and these were large. Because the brief was so big on him I had to changed the bedding because it leaked on the bed. I was looking for the wipes they supply and there were none, so I had to make due. Then I noticed there was an empty plastic wrapper for women's pink briefs beside the package of large briefs. They had him wearing women's underwear. I asked for small briefs and wipes, but they were out of wipes. Since I pay for them to supply wipes and briefs you would think they could do that, but obviously not. I like to visit with my resident and I can't seem to do that because of issues like this. You can do better!

My husband has been in Memory Care for many months now at Legacy Village. We are both learning as we move through the dementia process, and it is a learning curve, to be sure. I have been so pleased with the cleanliness of his room and the facilities on his floor. Itza and Dulce are excellent at their jobs and keep his room clean, bright, and spotless while being so pleasant and a joy to talk to. I'm so thankful that they work so hard to maintain his area for him (and me) as we navigate the daily ups and downs of this disease. This hardworking team deserves to be recognized for all their efforts and rewarded accordingly.

I’ve moved a few times in my life, but have never had an experience like when I moved my mom into Legacy. Everyone is nice-and I do mean EVERYONE. It is an extremely hard decision to place a family member in assisted living. My mother in law has been at Legacy Village for 10 months and it is a joy to watch how much all the staff interacts with their residents. The staff always has a smile, a greeting, not only for the residents but for you/us. It is evident they love their job. The facilities offer so much that anyone would be able to to find a friend with common interest. It is also apparent from their smiles and interaction that the residents enjoy the lifestyle that is offered as well. My husband wants to know when we are moving to Legacy.

My mom loved living in her home of many years - actually more that 5 decades- but after a breakthrough case of Covid-19 resulting in a hospital and rehab stays, the family made the decision to move Mom. We had to promise her she could move back home after three months if she didn’t like assisted living. The family had already been looking for a facility and it was an easy choice to select Legacy Village. This facility is not only beautifully designed for comfortable, carefree living, it has an incredible, caring staff but wait, there’s more - the food is great too! With an exercise room with her favorite piece of equipment, the hair salon on site, and all the activities that are too numerous to count, the onsite pharmacy, a branch of Stillwater Medical Center, she started adjusting as we’d hoped. My message is also for the family - sons and daughters, husbands and wives and other trusted individuals that must make this decision. I was really anxious the day we moved her, but within 24 hours I just knew in my heart that it was a good decision and I was at peace. If you ask, would you do it again?, I’d say yes in a heartbeat. So make the plunge if you must, but know this is a great option.

Since early in the COVID pandemic, we have partnered with Legacy Village to broadcast our First Friday (community outreach/education) events from their facility. The staff has always been so gracious to us, providing not only a beautiful space for our live videos, but making us feel welcome and wanted. We enjoy the opportunity to visit with friends who are now residents at Legacy Village. They are never shy about telling us how much they love their new home. Seeing their interactions with staff, you get a great sense of how much they care about each other.

Mom has been at Legacy of Stillwater since June 2021 (Independent Living). Before touring the facility, mom stated she could never live in an apartment. Once we walked into an apartment at Legacy, she instantly like it (especially how bright it was with all the windows); a month later we moved her in. Mom loves it there! She is always busy with the daily activities, nightly movies, OSU game day gatherings, social/game groups, Friday happy hour and field trips. Everyone who works at Legacy is so friendly, and they make mom/us feel part of one big family. The joy in mom's voice when talking with her brings our family peace knowing she is loving life and her new "home". What a blessing Legacy of Stillwater has been to our family!

When the time came to move our grandmother out of her home into something smaller and safer, Legacy Village of Stillwater was at the top of our list. After the initial tour and meeting with staff, my sister and I were sold. Nancy and I have been living here since the middle of March 2020 and have enjoyed every minute of it. I have back troubles and was having problems doing yard work as a property owner. I do not have any yard duties here at Legacy Village. We get excellent meals provided to us every day and housekeeping once a week. The people living here are all great people. We knew several of the people who were living here when we moved in and have enjoyed meeting and getting to know the others. The staff here are very attentive to our needs and are "top notch" in every respect. We are provided with many varied activities and there is never a lack of things going on. I do not regret moving here for one minute and can greatly recommend Legacy Village of Stillwater as an independent living facility.
