I am a retired physical therapist and have had the opportunity to work in numerous skilled nursing facilities, which is why I was a bit anxious about being a patient! But I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this experience, mostly due to Ioannis Eleftheriou, the Director of Rehab, and his staff. I was experiencing sudden onset bilateral foot drop with marked leg weakness and poor balance, but with our teamwork I was negotiating stairs and curbs when I left after two weeks. They were communicative, encouraging and attentive...just what I needed. The nursing staff was also respectful, timely, reliable and friendly. And the food was a welcome contrast to hospital fare! It is evident that this organization focuses on quality of care. Thank you everyone. Highly recommended!

I was at Las Ventanas twice this year and each stay was AWESOME. Beginning with being admitted and the smooth process I knew the best was yet to come. The nurses were great and explained my medications and what they they were prescribed for. The cnas were wonderful. They were caring,friendly and always made me feel comfortable. I want to do a shout out to Alem and Tonya who were with me the most during my stay and I appreciated them very much . The food at Las Ventanas was really good. The activities were well planned and fun. Dawn and Victoria did a really good job. I also want to give a shout out to my pt and ot therapists. Bryce and Renee worked with me and made me feel strong enough to go home feeling confident. Dawn made sure I could do what was necessary to be safe at home. I've never been to a nursing facility of any kind before now. Las Ventanas was most definitely a place that I would want to be in if I ever had to be in one again. The staff was delightful, the food was A-1. Everyone was always bright and cheerful, including the physical and occupational therapy staff. I have been to other Skilled Nursing Facilities but Las Ventanas at Summerlin is a first class facility with first class care. I would give Las Ventanas at Summerlin my highest rating. Something that most people take for granted when in a Skilled Nursing Facility are the the nurses, nurse assistants, and physical therapists. These people are highly trained and dedicated people that make sure you get meds, meals, and other needs met as they arise. The one attribute I sensed from all of the personnel I had contact with is their attitude, they care about the patients. Thank-you to the staff at Las Ventanas at Summerlin.

They forgot my mom at dialysis for over 3 hours. I had to drive across town. When I said this is unacceptable. The response i received was "this never happened before " it should never happen! Next day follow up. They have taken the matter seriously and are doing a review. Final follow up. Although it was a misfortune event. My father has been a resident at Las Ventanas Summerlin for almost 5 years. He has been a resident in all life stages at this facility. This includes Residential Living, Assisted Living and Memory Services. He has also used Skilled Nursing services, which is on the same campus, on several occasions. We feel that we are very fortunate that he is in this facility. The recreation coordinators keep him stimulated, management is responsive, med techs are incredibly knowledgable and trustworthy, and the aides do a great job taking care of him. I live 2500 miles away from him in New York and I trust Las Ventanas to take proper care of my father.

Every day sped by flawlessly and I will miss the genuine hospitality, with one exception, of all staff members. If I could rely on my memory I would list each staff member individually so credit could be bestowed on each member. They are all so nice and caring and will happily work around your schedule. I was in another place for 4 days and the treatment I received was so awful I left. I highly recommend Las Ventanas skilled nursing home. I was just here short term but if I ever need short or long term care again I will be back.

My journey began on October 16th, 2024, when I fell and fractured my left arm and left hip. After surgery and acute care, I arrived at Las Ventanas at Summerlin on November 12th, and my stay lasted 44 days. Las Ventanas is an outstanding skilled nursing/rehab facility. They truly care for their patients. The therapy department is top notch. The nurses and cna's meet all your needs. Housekeepers make sure you live in a nice, clean environment. The food is above average. If a situation should occur, just speak with administrator Randy Fuller, and your problem will be solved. I would personally like to thank the Director of Therapy, Ioannis Eleftheriou, and his excellent staff, as well as all the caring and highly skilled nurses, cna's, and housekeepers who took care of me. The CNA’s are dedicated professionals who are committed to their patients wellbeing and to their jobs and do them beautifully. They never act like it is just a job. Infinity physical & occuptional therapists target treatment to my needs, not their personal goals, and I have progressed to standing and to walking. I am extremely pleased with my rehab experience at La Ventana Rehab Center. The entire medical staff was so supportive, encouraging and kind throughout my 3 week rehabilitation. Everything about this facility was 5 star from medical staffing, food service, housekeeping and especially physical therapy. It honestly turns my stomach. What else goes on that isn't seen or isn't noticed. UPDATE: After well over a year of lockdown, Las Ventanas finally got back to normal. Food is really good, service is great, activities/outings are plentiful. Rent is high but all-inclusive and guarantees access to Assisted Living/Skilled Nursing at same fixed rate if ever needed. COVID-TIME REVIEW: Now 9 months into the Coronavirus "emergency," Las Ventanas has failed to develop a cohesive or coherent strategy for dealing with residents with moderate Coronavirus, short of getting them out of the community (to help reduce Las Ventanas' coronavirus stats???) Part of the problem is Las Ventanas can't make up its mind whether it's a nursing home or apartment building. When it comes to keeping people out, they've acted as a nursing home. But when it comes to helping Independent Living residents who need a little extra attention but don't need hospitalization, they act like an apartment building, and don't have any strategy or solutions to help. My father has Coronavirus, and he also has moderately severe hearing loss, so speaking with him by phone when he doesn't feel well is nearly impossible I was initially (turns out incorrectly) told by Las Ventanas I could not be come to Las Ventanas to assess my father's situation. I was initially (turns out incorrectly) told by Las Ventanas if I took my father out of Las Ventanas to see a doctor, he might not be permitted to come back. I was inititally (turns out incorrectly) told by Las Ventanas that I could not send in a private duty nurse to look after my father. I therefore asked Las Ventanas to go to my father's apartment and take his temperature and finger pulse oximeter oxygen saturation readings, so I could assess the situation remotely myself. Las Ventanas refused to do either, saying their license does not allow them to provide medical care (?!). Taking someone's temperature or reading their finger pulse oximeter does not constitute practicing medicine or providing medical care IMHO. Proof: Las Ventanas operates its own temperature check station at their entrance, which they use to take the temperature of any resident who requests it, or who returns to Las Ventanas after leaving the facility. After I posted scathing reviews on Yelp and Google, Las Ventanas did promptly correct the prior misinformation that I wasn't allowed to come see my father, or take my father to the doctor, or send a nurse. Once I learned this, I rushed right over. Fortunately, I found my father only needs someone to remind him to take his medications and drink water. My father also needs to be seen by a doctor or nurse, but my father's regular doctor refuses to see coronavirus patients in his office, or even in the parking lot outside the doctor's office (?!). 9 months into the Coronavirus "emergency" neither Las Ventanas nor my father's doctor has a strategy (or even a referral) for a resident who does not qualify for admission to a hospital or skilled nursing facility, but does need to be seen by a doctor or nurse. We paid a few hundred thousand dollars to get my father into Las Ventanas, and we're supposed to get 75% of that back if he survives 45 months in there. In addition, we pay several thousand dollars a month for food and services. Las Ventanas is great if you are healthy and need no help, but if you have a moderate illness, and temporarily need a little extra attention (short of being in a nursing home, or in an assisted living), they have no strategy or solutions to offer. Parenthetically, Las Ventanas does have a skilled nursing facility, which also failed to meet my expectations in 2019, when my stepmother died there. She was going to die anyway, so I can't say they caused or hastened her death. But their neglect and inattention at times bordered on the inhumane. Bottom line: If you can afford Las Ventanas, you can afford much safer, much better options. So, vote with your feet and your wallet, and choose another option. PS: Ignore reviews from people just getting started with Las Ventanas. The longtime residents I've spoken to mostly regret their decision.

Update Oct 2022: Mom has been living at Las Ventanas for 14 months now. She’s in the Assisted Living area. I appreciate the staff even more now than I did over a year ago. Her level of care has had to be moved up & the staff works to make it seamless. I’m as pleased now as I was 14 months ago, as is my Mom. My Mom has been at Las Ventanas Assisted Living a little over a month. I’d like to thank Linda Dietrich & Armando for all the help getting her from a local skilled nursing facility to assisted living at Ventanas. It’s no joke that the state & federal laws make it much harder right now, you need to be flexible. I’ve been a bit of a helicopter child with my Mom, but this past week I’ve felt myself finally able to relax. She went from her prior place being locked down and eating meals alone since March 2020. She had lost so many social skills I wasn’t sure she’d ever get back. I was wrong! The staff is so good about reminding her of activities, meals & just generally checking on her. I'm having a hard time finding her in the apartment! Movie night, entertainment, hairdresser, out walking the grounds, games and jigsaw puzzles. They bring her meds and give her tylenol or other OTC drugs the Dr has ordered. She’s 92, a bit hard of hearing and short term memory is shakey - but she is genuinely having a great time. Her doctor recommended Las Ventanas- I didn’t even know it existed. If I had she would have been living there the past 7 years. She is a retired RN so she remembers & understands that different Federal & State rules will apply as we try and draw covid down. I appreciate all the staff does to keep her safe & happy! Thank you!! My mother was admitted to Las Ventanas supposedly for rehab. During her two week stay, she only received 30 minutes of PT per day and only Monday through Friday. Nothing on the weekends. She was left in soiled diapers for hours. By the time she went home, she was no longer able to stand up by herself let alone walk. Very disappointed in the quality of care she received.

My mother was happy there, for that we are grateful. This rating because the conference call with staff and my family was less than truthful. My mother couldn't walk upon her arrival home as they said nor transfer from bed/chair on her own. Nor potty or dress on her own as they said. It is clear to us they just wanted her out of this place! So unfair to us to be mislead since we don't live near and could not confirm this before her exit. Lastly, there was little notice she was being kicked out. When we brought her home it was without any assistance/help/caretaker. They don't help you with that. Since we understood she was capable of the above listed tasks it wasn't an immediate concern. Wrong! The first few days/nights home was a nightmare. Be prepared!

Working as a home health physical therapist, I have visited almost every assisted living facility in the Las Vegas Valley. This is by far the nicest place in the entire Valley. The staff here is amazing! Everyone who works here is exceptionally friendly and take great care of all of the residents who live here. You can always tell when a facility is good when the people who work there act as if they love their job. I have rarely seen a happier staff. It Is by no means inexpensive, but the old adage applies: you get what you pay for. I couldn't recommend this place any higher. If you are looking for a place for your parents to live where they will receive excellent care you need look no further than here.
