Cardigan Ridge is a fantastic community. From the assisted living care to the engaging activities, they truly excel. The facility is the perfect size”large enough to offer all the important amenities, yet small enough to maintain a personal, caring environment. My father especially enjoys the food and looks forward to the "Friday Happy Hour" each week. Don't hesitate to choose this place; you won't regret it!

It’s not just an apartment, or a place for those who are 55 years old. Cardigan Ridge is a home “ with lots of neighbors and something to do every day. So, what things can you do? There’s Wii Bowling, Bingo, Art & Crafts, movies, exercise for Volleyball, Fitness Drumming, Stretch & Strengthen. Card games like Hearts, Canasta, Bridge, Cribbage, Scrabble, and more. Weekly we have Fun Friday Hour with live music, enjoying a sip (soda, wine, beer), and sometimes a piece of cake or a donut! Bus trips for shopping, a trip to Como Park, a drive along to see the autumn color & stop at the DQ. Twice, we’ve had a petting zoo that comes INSIDE OF THE BUILDING “ the horse eats from your hand, the 25 pound duck riding in a wagon, a chicken walks along, a bird setting on your shoulder and more! We’ve had a dance “ great music, staff joining in, we really had a great time. A number of Speakers: Birding 101on how Birds (eagles, Owl, etc.) Live, Historical Presentations on Prohibition, The Movie Man who talked about Monster Movies of 20’s & 30’s. When you walk through the front door of CR you feel the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Neil at the front desk greets you warmly and directs you where you need to go. There is a wide variety of activities such as educational speakers to entertainment to Friday Happy Hours that brings us all together. We have our very own choir "The Ridge Singers" who perform concerts twice a year! The Nursing staff is empathetic and keeps us aware of any changes throughout the building. The Maintenance and Housekeeping staff meet the needs of our tenants and keeps the building looking clean. It has been my extreme pleasure to have lived at CR for almost 4 years. We are a family and care about each other!

I have been a resident at Cardigan Ridge for 4 years. I lived in the Memory Care with my wife before she passed in 2024. The staff in Memory Care were very attentive and loving while providing the care she needed. Since then i have moved into the Independent Living and have met a lot of great people. The food here is excellent and there are a variety of Activities for everyone. The building is clean and inviting and Staff are friendly and helpful. We are one big family here!

I am a current resident at Cardigan Ridge. The food is great! Mark in activities does a wonderful job having a wide variety of activities for everyone. The pricing is very reasonable within the Twin Cities area. The Nursing care in Assisted Living is very good and they are there for my every wish. Mike in the maintenance department is very responsive. Liz in Marketing made the transition for me smooth and easy. I would definitely recommend Cardigan Ridge.

Both of my parents lived at Cardigan Ridge for almost six years and it is a wonderful place. The staff is kind and caring and became like family to us. My parents were able to stay together once in memory care, which was a huge positive!

My mother, who was a resident at Cardigan Ridge since 2018 recently passed away. She spent her declining years in Memory Care. Throughout her stay at Cardigan we found the staff to be professional, caring and very supportive. Especially so during her final days. She stayed in her apartment while under hospice protocols. We are grateful for the attention/care that our mother received.

My father (92) lives at Cardigan since September 2024. He has acclimated to his new routine, loves his apartment, enjoys socializing with other residents. All staff have been patient and kind to my father, addressing any concerns and questions promptly. I am recuperating from a severely fractured leg and have not been able to visit with my father, though we talk on the phone everyday. As my father's POA, staff have kept me well informed about my father's care. I appreciate everyone at Cardigan Ridge. Thank you!

Our Mother has been a resident of Cardigan Ridge since September 26th of 2025 in the memory care unit and we couldn't be happier with her care! The staff is fantastic, the admins are compassionate & responsive, the location is beautiful, the on-site services are exactly what we were looking for and it also came highly recommended by the home care organization we employed before Mom's need for 24/7 caregiving. I have the utmost confidence in the decision my Mom and our family made to transition to Cardigan Ridge, and my sisters and I are at peace knowing she's safe and in good hands going forward.

After visiting several senior communities over the years, it was a pleasant surprise to experience the place and the people of Cardigan Ridge. The staff was professional, personable and attentive to our questions and concerns. The residents were outgoing and friendly, inviting us to bingo and/or a movie and praising the meals. All this and we were simply visiting. Needless to say, mom became a resident. She is happy, enjoys her new space and appreciates all of the amenities along with the variety of activities available. Another fun fact: The food truly is very good; Fresh, flavorful and nicely plated. Dining room staff also provide great service. The wonderful people of Cardigan Ridge, residents and staff alike, have become one large, engaging family for which we are most grateful.

We needed to get my Mom into Memory Care ASAP. I live out of state and with the help of a placement person, we got Mom evaluated and moved into Cardigan Ridge within a week. The staff there is great. I was there visiting many times and Mom always raved about her care team, esp Abby. She loved Kim who was in charge of activities. Mom was kept busy with live music weekly, a couple field trips on a boat, and daily interaction with fellow residents in her wing. The food they got was good, when I visited I made sure I ate too. In MC there is always the option to take your loved one to the main dining room for meals. They were quite fancy with linen table cloths and great service. I would call mom daily and she was often busy hanging out with the girls and doing crafts or watching movies. The facility is very nice. The lobby has a library upstairs as well as an aviary. The independent living area is nice too and the residents there seem to like it. They allow pets which I think is a must. MC is pricey but when you cannot care for your loved one, you know they are safe living at Cardigan Ridge. If you are on the fence with placing someone, get an eval done and talk about Medicaid. Thank you CR team, you brought us some peace during a very difficult time.

My parents have lived here for 5 yrs and this facility has become the nightmare you hear about. The nursing staff is hit or miss and the care is dependent on the service needed. They are always trying to have your needs met with a service charge. The worst is the head nurse and staff are always fighting any outside help provided through Medicare from doing the medical care because they want you to pay their service fees instead. It has become a constant battle and it's not worth the upwards of $4200-10000 a month to deal with. I would stear clear of this amd the 5 others they own amd seek a one level apartment with necessary amenities and hire a nurse.

Our experience with Cardigan Ridge was excellent. My dad was not there long due to needing to be moved to long-term care at a different facility, but I have only positive things to say about Cardigan Ridge. This was a stressful time but they did their best to help ease the transition. The staff was great about returning calls, handling requests, making the move-in go smoothly, etc. The nursing staff and aides were extremely friendly and helpful. My only wish is that they had long-term care because we would not have left otherwise!

Cardigan Ridge offers a place where you can develop a sense of community and friendship with all the many staff, aides and other residents you encounter. My husband and I experienced loving and caring support during our life here. All in all we were blessed by our time here up to and through the time of his passing. The administration was easy to work with and approachable. The programs and concerts were some of our favorites to attend but there was so much to choose from. We felt like this was our home during our years at Cardigan.

We are so grateful we chose Cardigan Ridge when my father-in-law needed to move to assisted living! The staff were always top notch and treated all of us like family - reaching out to check in and going out of the way to make sure we all had what we needed. Everyone from the administrator to the nursing staff to the front desk had my father-in-law’s best interest at heart and they truly cared about him as a human. I would recommend them any day.

The staff at Cardigan Ridge are exceptional! From my very first visit with my parents, we got the sense of the close-knit community, and how the residents are truly cared for. Knowing that my parents are both musicians, Mark, the Activities Director, took us in to see a choir rehearsal happening with the residents that day, and everyone looked so glad to be there. Mark is very good at building relationships with residents and finding out what they are interested in pursuing. Amina and Angie, the Marketing and Executive Directors, were fantastic and supportive as I navigated calls and paperwork for long-term care insurance for my mother. I truly appreciated their attention to detail, and professional, caring approach. I would highly recommend Cardigan Ridge to other seniors looking for a place they can feel like "family" and truly call home.

Residents in most other facilities would be getting their choice of jello. WAITSTAFF: friendly, pleasant, fast, patient, fun who know your beverage preferences and just plain NICE HEALTH AND CARE GIVERS. Sympathetic, caringtall and short ones! ADMINISTRATION: Angie and her staff - The Finest anywhere. Highly qualified, helpful, friendly, efficient and always willing to listen and help. MAINTENANCE: SHANE: - you would have to look far and wide to find someone who provides such willing, friendly, fast and excellent service as he. He is truly one in a million. We had to unexpectedly move my Dad into assisted living from a hospital stay. The staff at Cardigan Ridge made the transition easy and comfortable for him and our family. Everyone is so nice and the facility is beautiful. We feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful community for my Dad to settle into. We love our new CR family!

The experience my father had with his time at Cardigan was nothing short of amazing. The staff and caregivers not only took care of him but became his true friends. He trusted them to the point that he would share with them stories that he had never told me. My family is great full for how he was treated from the day he arrived June 2017 until his passing January 2024. He could not have been in better place the last 7 years of his life. My mom feels comfortable, safe and engaged at Cardigan Ridge; she truly feels at home there. Knowing that she is in good hands at Cardigan Ridge has provided invaluable peace of mind for Mom and our family. The entire staff is friendly, competent, responsive, and caring, and there is very little staff turnover. That consistency and familiarity are more important than I would have imagined. Mom is still fairly independent, but it has been easy and quick to add additional services and support as needed. We are beyond grateful that Mom chose Cardigan Ridge!

We moved our father to Cardigan Ridge almost a year ago and it has been the best experience for him and our family. Staff members go above and beyond any expectations we could have set. Residents and staff are pleasant and welcoming. The facilty is always clean and well kept. They have a variety of meal options and snacks and there are always activities going on for residents to join. Cardigan Ridge sets an example of what Assisted living should provide!

Our mother moved in at a very difficult time - just before Minnesota companies were shut down due to the Covid pandemic. The staff were always welcoming and made her feel at home especially while our visits were restricted due to health precautions.

My grandma moved here in December of 2022 and she has told us multiple times how happy she is! She's very social and now has the opportunity to meet people and socialize. She tells us about having card night with her friends and sitting at a different table every day for lunch to meet people. We've even reserved the movie theater room on a few Friday nights for movie night with the family. Everyone that works here that I've spoken with is so kind and bright and I have no doubt they're taking care of my grandma!

My mom has been at Cardigan Ridge for 6 months now. During this short time my mom has become stronger and more active physically and mentally than she has been for years. She loves going to exercise classes, choir practice, and book club. She enjoys playing scrabble and kanasta with her new friends. She shares so many stories about her adventures at "the ridge". Mark, the activities coordinator, is amazing and seems to have endless patience. All of the staff have been great. Bonus is that she was able to bring her 2 cats with her to her new apartment. We are so fortunate to have found a place that has welcomed our mom.

During this week of Thanksgiving, I want to share my gratitude and thanks for the staff at Cardigan Ridge. My mom moved into her beautiful one bedroom apartment last spring and overlooks a sweet pond, filled with ducks and a few resident swans. Transitions and moves are always tough for individuals and family members but Cardigan staff/management have been nothing but kind, helpful and supportive of my mom and helpful for my family as we navigate this new change. I so appreciate the dedication of the staff and management during these unprecedented difficult times. Great communication with Angie the Director and the Nursing team as needed, so important to my family! Thank you for the peace of mind that my mom is supported by friendly, dedicated and compassionate staff at Cardigan Ridge!

Absolutely one of the BEST Senior Living Communities in all of the MPLS/St Paul area. Staff is so friendly and the food is better than most high-end restaurants. The view of the pond out back is wonderful and relaxing.
