I very recently used Cannon Rivers Senior Living Respite Care for my husband who has dementia. I'm overjoyed to have connected with this fabulous place! Having been primary caregiver for several years, I'm so excited to now have a place where I can confidently leave him for an amount of time long enough to take a vacation away from home, at home, get back to being involved in my community again, kind of what I looked forward to in retirement! This place is something special, I knew it the moment I walked in the door! There is a genuine sense of camaraderie amongst staff and administrators, everyone seems to love being there and love their jobs. Respect, care and concern are evident in interactions with residents. My mother has been living at this facility since the fall of 2019, and has been very happy here. The apartments and common areas are beautiful, and the staff are exceptional. There are so many activities available to the residents, and the services offered range from independent living, assisted, and memory care. I am there on a regular basis, and when I cannot be there, I am completely at ease knowing that my mother is in a safe environment, and well looked after. Recently they held a Mother's Day Tea in the dining room to celebrate all the moms living there. The food and entertainment was outstanding, making every mom there feel so very special and valued. This is just one example of the many ways in which the staff provide opportunities for their residents and their families feel loved and important. With so many facilities to choose from for senior citizens, I cannot recommend Cannon Rivers enough! It is located in the beautiful small town of Cannon Falls, situated close to the freeway between the twin cities and Rochester, making it easy to visit. There are medical facilities in Cannon Falls, and neighboring communities, so getting your loved one to appointments is easy. There is a bus shuttle service provided weekly for medical appointments for those who cannot drive or have someone to take them. They also offer local trips to various places so that residents can get out and explore, shop, etc. My mother happens to live in a two bedroom apartment, so if I (or any of my family members) want to spend the night with her, we are able to do so at no charge. For residents with smaller units, there is a guest room available to rent if they have guests from out of town who would like to stay, which is such a fabulous feature. If you are looking for a home for yourself or a loved one in their advanced years, schedule a tour soon! You will not regret it!

It was a pleasure to tour this Senior Community! Ben was friendly, knowledgeable & very patient with our many questions. It was heartwarming to see how Staff and Residents alike; interacted together: greeting one another by name, smiling, and sharing pleasantries. The Community was cheerfully decorated with several cozy sitting areas throughout. The apartments, hallways, & common spaces were impressivly clean. There were also many posted events for the Residents to enjoy! Having recently discovered their Facebook page; we were impressed with the variety of activities offered. I feel confident trusting the care of a dear family member to this Community!

Cannon Rivers is such a great community. My grandmother really enjoys living there and is extremely happy with the cares she is provided. I would highly recommend to those in the community when looking for assisted living.

I am grateful for Cannon Rivers for taking such good care of my loved one. The staff treats our loved one like their own, always looking out for their comfort and best interests. Even the residents show love to one another. I am so thankful to feel like we have an "extended family" caring for my relative. The staff even looks out for us when we are visiting, offering support, food or drinks just so we can maximize our time and attention toward our loved one. Thank you Cannon Rivers team for all you do. You are a blessing to all the residents and families in your care.

Mom lived at Cannon Rivers for 13 years. She truly enjoyed the connections she made and the friendships re-established while she was there. The staff from every department, including the resident assistants, dietary staff, activities, housekeeping and maintenance all showed her love and compassion. They honored her wishes, changed the level of care up and down as her health needs changed. We are grateful the services allowed her to be as independent as she wanted to be but could be increased to a level of skilled care that allowed her to stay in her apt until the end with the people she knew. Excellent job!

My mother-in-law is living at Cannon Rivers Senior Living. She love the independence she has while also being in a community of friends. She always has someone to talk to. She enjoys the good meals, and also the entertainment and activities that are offered. It's a great choice for Mom!

Moving your elderly parents into a senior living community during a pandemic is not an easy task. The staff at Cannon Rivers made this process so effortless and I can not thank them enough! My parents have now lived there for eight months and are very happy. I am grateful and thankful for everyone at Cannon Rivers!

Having visited a loved one recently, I must say I was very impressed by the incredible staff, the clean facilities and mostly by their local food approach they have to providing the best to the seniors. Very impressed that they not only provide exceptional service to their residents but return calls as soon as they can and are able to facilitate our needs. Thank you to the dedicated staff who take excellent care of our loved ones.

The entire staff from the admissions, coordinator & nursing were very helpful and timely. It was an emotional period for our family and we found everyone to be very empathetic. Our loved one is content and safe under their care.

My mother has never been happier! She lived at another facility for 8 months and feels Twin Rivers is superior to that property, and the cost is at least $400.00 less a month! She said the staff is so helpful and friendly-and the residents are too! She likes the way the staff give personal attention to each resident and they take the time to connect with her. She is pretty picky about her hair, but has decided she likes the beauty salon at Twin Rivers the best. She even has Twin City Physicians visit her in her home. In short, she feels she has everything she needs right there. They have a group that plays farkle most evenings and she really looks forward to it. Twin Rivers has been an amazing experience for us both!! Thanks to Angela, MIssy and all the staff for all they do!

My brother and sister-in-law moved to Twin Rivers Senior Campus 6 years ago at the insistence of my brother who fell in love with the facility after an open house tour! While he was alive he enjoyed playing in the Kazoo band, calling Bingo, participating in Men's Night dinners and weekly happy hour entertainment. My sister-in-law often joked how it took him an hour to pick up mail due to his socializing with other residents and staff. He always said there was no need for anyone to be lonely at Twin Rivers unless they wanted to be. When he passed in November 2015 my sister-in-law was comforted by loving staff and residents, which helped her greatly as she transitioned to life without her husband of over 50 years. Within weeks she was back participating in Lora's craft classes, bingo, happy hour, shopping outings, and enjoying her favorite noon lunches provided by Chef Donna and her staff. And yes, she enjoys socializing when collecting her mail! As her family, we all are very happy with the safe living environment that Twin Rivers Senior Campus provides. Even though she lives independently, she enjoys visiting with staff, especially her weekly housekeeper, Amor. She loves her monthly salon appointment with Katie and the ease of requesting help when needed by Ben & Bill in Maintenance. During the tornado in April with the community powerloss, she was well cared for and staff checked on her frequently to make sure she was okay. I've read some of the negative reviews and hope people will read them with an open mind, that disgruntled employees and family members are certainly entitled to their particular perspective of any situation. But please know that our family has found that Community Director, Angela Budensiek has an open door policy. She and her staff work hard to stay abreast of the ever changing laws that govern Senior Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care and stay in compliance with State policy and procedure to provide the safest living environment for our loved ones. Thank you Twin Rivers for a lovely facility and the wonderful care you provide!
