I can’t say enough about the staff at Calvin Community. My mother spent the last weeks of her life there, and the care couldn’t have been better. The nurses and aides are absolutely wonderful; so kind, gentle and caring not only for my mom but for the entire family. Calvin Community was a blessing for our family.

I have been here almost 7 years and have been very happy, the staff is friendly and helpful. They have seen that we got our flu and COVID, also the RSV shot, whenever they were due, so we didn't have to leave the building. There are activities and entertainment if you want to attend, we have a library to borrow books and puzzles to do. I have enjoyed my time here.

The Independent Living PLUS is exactly what I need at this point in my life. Staff and residents have been very kind, friendly, and helpful as I settle into my new apartment. It has become home and I love it. I appreciate the religious services and the many other activities that are available. The food is delicious and it is fun to eat with others in the dining room. My mom has been in the rehabilitation, nursing home and now assisted living. I can not say enough how amazing Calvin Communities has been. We started at another facility and it was a nightmare, got her transferred her and it have been great. the employees really care.

Calvin Community is home, it feels like a hometown, both staff and residents are welcoming, kind, thoughtful, INTERESTING, great role models, great senses of humor. I cannot get through a day without sharing a laugh with whomever I encounter. Politics is important to me but we make a point of not discussing it. What someone posts on FB is their business. I've not noticed any kind of discrimination on any basis. Among my many relocations over the years, this has been, by far, the easiest, least stressful of any and that's due to the Calvin Culture.

Everyone at Calvin, from maintenance, laundry, kitchen, aides and nurses took wonderful care of my mother. We were blessed to find Calvin for her care. They kept the family informed of any changes and the communication between Calvin staff and Unity Point Hospice was wonderful. I loved how wherever Mom was in the building, everyone called her by name and took the time to visit with her. The activity dept. took care to make sure mom was involved in anything she'd like to do. Thank you Calvin! Betty's family thinks you're the best!
