I found Westmont of Cypress in my search for assisted living facilities for a friend. I subsequently had two tours of the facility with Zinat Rahman, one of the kindest, sweetest, down to earth people I have met. The first tour was with my fianc© for information-gathering only for our friend. Even though Zinat knew we weren’t potential residents, she gave us lots of information about the activities, services, pricing, levels of service, etc., and gave us a thorough tour of the facility. We returned to the facility this week with our friend, the potential resident. Our friend has mixed feelings about moving to an assisted living facility. But after being with Zinat for about an hour, and getting a tour of the facility and an apartment, she is so excited about moving in she said, I wish I could move in today! Thank you so much, Zinat, for making our friend feel so completely at ease and at home!

I was personally recommend for this comedy show and I couldn’t have been happier. Director Krystal Neitzke was a true professional, easy to work with and her staff set up the retirement community perfectly for a comedy show. I arrived to full house of residents positioned in chairs that were similar to comedy clubs. Promo posters were visible & an electric Comedy Show sign was positioned at the side of the stage. Krystal, the staff & residents couldn’t have been nicer. This was a fun crowd and I enjoyed talking to them after the show. I give Westmont of Cypress a 5 out of 5 star rating. Highly recommended. .

I’ve been a resident for 3 months already. I love my apartment. And the food is great. I was so happy to be able to take my Bella a 11 years old mix breed with me. The staff is very friendly and helpful. West not is a very clean facility, also my apartment is cleaned weekly. The people in the community are very friendly as well.

Many many thanks to Krystal at Westmont. She is AMAZING, dependable, kind the reason we chose Westmont. She made the move so smooth, went OUT OF HER WAY to be able to get mom in there straight from rehab, pulling strings to make it possible. Mom's been there a little over 3 months now and Krystal STILL goes above and beyond ... it's a beautiful, clean facility with so much to offer. Safe... Kind care givers, responsive to her needs. Krystal and Zena are so good at keeping me updated. I am VERY grateful for Krystal and the team there. Highly recommend

Update: My dad has been living here for three years now. Does he like it more than before? I guess he has accepted it. I think he would move if there was a place just as convenient location wise. He doesn’t want me to drive too far to visit him. The place is well maintained but they still have issues with staff turnover and he thinks the dinners are overall not very good. They have had about five Executive Directors in three years. When he moved in, he paid less than $6,000 a month. He now pays slightly over $9,000 a month and his level of care is almost exactly what it was when he moved in. You need to be aware that they have annual rental increases and about once a year they change their care model and 3 out of the 4 times they have done that, it resulted in care cost increases for my dad. The good news is that I know I need to be nice to my kids so that when I need assistance I can live with them. I increased my rating score to a three, probably due to the fact that I am just use to their deficiencies. And I guess if my dad hated it he would move. ”””””””- My dad moved in at the beginning of March and while this place looks really nice and has some awesome care staff in my experience the executive team is lacking. That is great for my dad as the people he interacts with are great but not so great for me who has to interact with them. I would give them a 2.5 but since I can’t I round down.

My husband moved in to Westmont Assisted Living in September 2024. The day he moved in, he was greeted by Jackie, the wonderful Concierge, and a sign at the front desk welcoming him. He felt noticed and welcomed. Zenat, the move-in coordinator, came in on her day off to manage the move. All the caregivers knew his name and welcomed him. The Executive chef visited us to find out what food he liked. I felt like we were in a 5 star resort. Well done Westmont! Then some issues started... 1) The refrigerator was broken. 2) The blinds wands/controls were broken 3) The internet signal did not support our cell phones and smart TV 4) The thermostat for heat/air was so complicated and difficult to see, my husband couldn't adjust it for comfort. The Facilities Director, Christian, saved the day and got him a new refrigerator, ordered new blind wands, set the thermostat appropriately, and troubleshot the internet issue to get him connected (but it took 2 weeks to deal with the direct tv contractor). Internet access remains a frequent problem at this facility. All staff have been friendly, courteous, helpful and professional. Staff have never said "that's not my job." Great teamwork and coordination...

My mom moved in last May, 2024 and is thriving there! We lost my dad 3 years ago and this place has been such a blessing not only for my mom but my sister and I knowing how happy our mom is!! Westmont of Cypress is a clean impressive facility. I toured a one bedroom that was furnished. It was really nice, roomy, comfortable. I’m sure I would be happy there. If only I could afford it then I was showing a studio apartment and it was definitely roomy. However, I don’t think it would be the right fit for me. I would love to swim in that accessible pool!

My dad has been living by himself in a two story home and we decided it’s safer that he move into an assisted living facility. We first met with Christine Bird, Zinat Rahman and Nancy Rodriguez whom showed us around and told us all about Westmont. After, researching all of our options including live-in caregiver we decided this was the best option for my dad. The facility is very nice and only a few years old. Also, everyone is very nice and friendly. They also have a restaurant, movie theater, pool, exercise room and have live performances. For my dad we chose a studio in the first floor in the main building. The studio is actually pretty spacious and he has plenty of room. So far my dad said he is happy here and really likes the restaurant, enjoys watching movies at the theater and watching the daily live performances. Also, at first we were worried that he was going to be lonely because he doesn’t socialize; however, that wasn’t the case. He made friends and was also excited to tell us all about his day. In conclusion, I think we made the right decision

I had to find a Memory Care option for my wife with early onset dementia. She is 65 years old. Luckily I made contact with someone who recommended I look at Westmont of Cypress. I liked that there are only approximately 20 Memory Care residents. The sales process was low key, no pressure and exposed me to the care staff my wife would be involved with. The facility is very nice, bright and the private rooms are spacious. The cost is not cheap, but competitive with similar facilities. I checked 7 options in the same area.

I was very anxious moving my 90 year old mother from her home of 67 years. It was such a positive move. The staff are very helpful and compassionate. While my mom says she still misses her home, she also acknowledges that she feels safer and happier at Westmont of Cypress!

My mother-in-law has reluctantly agreed to move from her home of 50 years to a place where we feel she will be safe. When I told her Westmont of Cypress bills itself as resort style senior living, she was skeptical to say the least. My husband and I could not believe her attitude change when we visited the facility. It feels more like a hotel than assisted living. The food is high quality and the dining room cheerful. The rooms we were shown are more spacious than we expected. I can’t say mom is excited about leaving her home, but she seems open to new possibilities. Of the three independent senior living facilities we have toured, Westmont is our first choice.

My family and I were looking for a SAFE and FRIENDLY place for our parents to live at that would feel like HOME! We found it at Westmont of Cypress! From the initial meeting with Christine when we took a tour of the facility to signing the final paperwork with Sherril! The entire staff communicated every step of the process with us and answered all our questions/concerns with compassion and dignity. Westmont of Cypress is very clean and well decorated. The residents are kept very busy from religious opportunities to games/activities to many social events!! There's even a beauty salon/barber shop, theater and swimming pool!! And the meals are EXCELLENT!! My parents are meeting new friends and have smiles on their faces!! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who cares enough for their aging parents! You won't be disappointed!

As a new affiliate in the Senior Lifestyle business, I visit many properties and people daily. I have to say that I visited Westmont of Cypress at a very busy time of day and was treated excellent, witnessed the activities of the property and was able to immediately decide that this is a location that I would highly recommend. My mom moved into the memory care building at Westmont Cypress a year ago. I really loved the place at first. Clean, new, building, knowledgeable and helpful staff, good food and lots of outings. My mom had outings once a week! Then they fired the nurses to save costs and raised the rates 16% in one month. My mom had a good rapport with the nurses due to their knowledge of how to work with Alzheimer’s patients. The caregivers try really hard and are very nice but now they are overworked with less staff to help. The outside outings have stopped I have been told because there is no driver for their shuttle bus. The food has gone downhill- one of the residents was so upset about the food that she tried to get my mom to join her protest group. I am not surprised that there has been an outbreak of bed bugs in the facility based on what I have seen as far as cleanliness. The front entrance to the Compass Rose had ketchup on the wall for three weeks and I would be surprised if they ever vacuum the entry carpet. If you can’t keep your brand new facility clean, then how can you care for my mother? Poor management decisions, like removing all the water coolers because it costs too much to provide water for residents and staff, have really impacted what used to be a lovely memory care center. The caregivers are really trying their best and are very kind but they are working within a broken system and may be feeling the effects of burnout soon. Don’t be fooled by the glittering lobby in the assisted living building., look at the details and you will see the underlying cracks brought on by poor management. You could probably find far better care at another place for the almost $10,000/month charged at Westmont of Cypress.

I am so impressed with this senior living facility. From a personal viewpoint, I researched many for both my mom and older sister, and this by far surpasses any of the others we looked at. From a professional standpoint, my organization has worked with Westmont of Cypress to provide pet therapy. I have found the facility extremely clean, brightly-lit, and staff there truly caring about the residents. Christine Bird has been especially great to work with; she is super responsive to my questions, needs and always, always, upbeat. Yes! If I, in my future, am in need of an assisted living facility, this is where I would want to be.

They had a very fun fall festival and an excellent car show ! I am in the process of moving my uncle into the Westmont of Cypress. He has lived independently up until now and was hesitant to consider this new lifestyle. From the beginning of our tour with Christine he was so impressed with the quality of the apartment, food selection, activity selections and welcoming staff. Now he is so excited to move in he can hardly wait. The option of having medical care available on site from doctors, nurses and physical therapy is a big plus. Thank you Westmont!

This is a great community, but the main reason they chose it was because of the employees. They felt welcome, they felt like it was was the right place and it was. I work with a family who had to place their loved one in a memory care facility and I have been here with her since the beginning. I am beyond happy that they place her here at Westmont of Cypress. I continue to go and work with her every day as a companion. They are very engaged with the residents from all the activities they have for them to the snacks that they provide throughout the day. My Mom recently moved to Westmont of Cypress. The facility and apartments are super clean and well taken care of. I have had numerous meals with my Mom and the food is pretty good. They have daily activities from morning to night, and my Mom has had a lot of fun hearing concerts, playing games, and enjoying the nightly movie. They even have a swimming pool! The staff are wonderful and have helped us so much in this whole process. When I visit my Mom, I look around and can see that the staff is kind, supportive, and takes the time to engage with those living there. I would highly recommended Westmont of Cypress to anyone looking for a great place to live.

We moved my mother into the Westmont, Cypress last December, so almost a year ago. It has been nothing but a pleasure having her there. The staff and the management are so kind and they treat everybody as if they were their own grandparent. The restaurant staff are so delightful, which is so important since many of the residents view meal times as their social hour. I really enjoy seeing and visiting with the staff When I go to visit. We couldn't ask for a better place for our mom. The medical attention and care, the beauty salon, the food, her apartment, the thursday afternoon entertainment, the movie theater, and all the holiday parties they provide are beyond what anyone could ask for. We threw our mom a 90th birthday party in the courtyard and everyone was so accommodating. We love the westmont for our mother and hope we are fortunate enough to live in such a beautiful facility someday.

My Mother was one of the first people to move in to Westmont of Cypress in December 2021, and in fact, she was actually the first resident of Compass Rose (Memory Care) in Westmont. It is always a hard decision to make for your parent, but the people that helped us determine the best living situation and level of care for our mother as well as all the staff that works each day have been wonderful. My mother tells me often that she likes it there. They are always so active and they communicate with me on everything. I cannot think of any place that could be better for my Mom than Compass Rose. Each and every person that I have met that works there is great with each and every resident. I have been to other memory care facilities to visit friends on my Mother and Westmont is by far the best I have seen. They interact and have so many diverse and fun activities that stimulates and entertains the residents. I feel so lucky that we had the opportunity to find this place for our Mother.

They give you as much attention or privacy as you would like. I appreciate the help with transportation to the store and doctor appointments. It’s new, classy and beautiful. We moved my 94-year-old mom into Westmont of Cypress in Dec, 2021. The facility is new and clean and has all the amenities we were looking for. The medical staff has been very attentive (thank you Ghea & Michael) and can’t say enough good things about all the social, spiritual & health related activities that my mom participates in (thank you Erica & Leen). As with any new facility (especially opening during COVID), there has been start-up challenges (dining, phones, staffing) but overall we are very happy with our decision to become part of the Westmont of Cypress family.

I moved my dad here in December from living independently in his own home. It was a tough transition for him but all the staff made this transition easier giving him a lot of attention. His apartment is lovely with a super balcony overlooking the courtyard..There are many activities residents can participate in and an excellent selection of food in the dining room. His only complaint is that when the food is brought to his table, it doesn’t come warm enough. I want to thank everyone for taking such good care of my dad. Everyone that I have met in administration, medical care, housekeeping, maintenance and dining has been so nice and attentive. This is a great place for anyone who needs assistive living.

I was the first person to secure The Westmont of Cypress "Respite Apartment." It was furnished with all meals. As I continued my ReHab, it was an excellent place to be. Sam, the Executive Director, and his Great Staff were very personal and professional... and personable... and responsive to any issue or concern brought to them. The culture of friendliness and helpfulness is amazing. Especially in these first few months of operation. My two months, now concluded, were just what the Doctor ordered. Oh. My parents just moved my gran at this assisted living apartments. They just opened up December 2021. My gran moved on Feb. It looks like the Hilton as far as the interior goes. Everything looks like the state of the art. The staff are very attentive, professional, and genuine. The dining room and lobby are really modern. It looks like a nice place to retire at. There is a pool and other amenities. The rooms look like nice little suites. They are actually spacious inside. My gran's apartment has a walk-in closet, large full bath and laundry hook up. I randomly visit my gran to see if the staff are all providing the best kind of service for the residents there. They get 5 stars. The dining room staff get 5 stars. They already have memorized what my gran like to eat. The food is actually good. I ate breakfast and lunch with my gran at least half a dozen times already. The health aid get 5 stars. They are always busy helping the residents getting to their activities. The concierge staff get 5 stars. They are very professional and are great with remembering who goes in and out. I haven't observed the management team yet. So they don't get any rating from me. I will wait a bit before I give them any rating. Let's hope that they keep up the maintenance for the facility.

We were excited about our 91-year-old mom moving into this wonderful senior community but due to recent health issues she will not be able to do so. In arranging for our mom's move we became acquainted with many of the Westmont staff from management to housekeeping - from top to bottom a very friendly and caring staff. Our mom was not just going to be a resident; she was going to be part of the Westmont family! We had some items delivered to her apartment in anticipation of her moving in that I had to go pick up. A couple of these items were very heavy and the Westmont staff was more than happy to help me load these items into my car. Thank you Leen, Tina and Michael!
