My dad has been a resident for over 5 years. Although I live out of state, the director Shelby, has always kept me informed. Recently my dad spent time in a rehab facility, Shelby and the facilities nurse, Becky, visited him more than once to cheer him up, and monitor his progress. When he returned home, they suggested that he move his apartment to the 1st floor. They felt they could check on him even more frequently. I appreciated this because I am only able to visit a few times a year. Thanks to Shelby, Becky, Carlee, and the rest of the staff.

Our experience with Bonaventure has not been 100% smooth sailing. And we don't expect it to be. The human factor is always a challenge from all angles! However, if your looking for a place where your family member is put first and their needs; I highly recommend Bonaventure. If we have a issue or challenging situation they are respectful, understanding and will figure out a solution/resolution. We feel we are part of the Bonaventure Team and that is very reassuring. All team members are friendly and engaging from management , caregivers, maintenance front desk and activities. This is what attracted us to Bonaventure. The aesthetics and better food choices are just a perk!

As I reflect over this past year since my husband and I moved in. Thinking back over all the memories that we got to share with the people and staff here at Bonaventure in the dinning hall and all activities has been a wonderful experience all the outings and entertainment which included the trip to the Pueblo Zoo , the drive thru light show at the speed way, car show enjoy the monthly restaurant outing as well as our weekly trips to Walmart. With the passing of my husband the staff has been so wonderful and i have received the best support and got many warm hugs from all of our new friends around. I have met many people that have shared the same experience as me with the lost of a spouse it has been a healing time for me. The caregivers are just as wonderful with the help of everything they do knowing everyone by name has left me with a great feeling the administrative staff are just as great they are so loving and always have a minute to stop and talk with us residents and help with anything we need. My time here at Bonaventure as been a great experience not only for myself but my family as well and I would like to thank you all

I can't say enough good things about Bonaventure Pueblo! Shelby and Carlee, the directors, have gone above and beyond to make my Mom happy and comfortable there after she had to suddenly move from her home of 40 years. After my mom was mugged right in front of her house, we knew it was time she went to a safe place. Since none of us kids live there, Shelby and Carlee personally went and got her and took her in so she would be safe after having her keys stolen. It has been a very hard transition for my mom who is 88 and extremely set in her ways, but they have done absolutely everything in their power to make her happy in her new home. And her apartment is beautiful! Chris, head of maintenance, helped so much and seems to really care about the people there. Even had a cute nickname for mom after a week there. So sweet! The food is very good, and we were there to try all 3 meals. Wait staff was very friendly. Common areas are nicely decorated and clean. I have only good things to say about this place. Mom is finally starting to get used to the changes and I think she will be very happy there. I know I am incredibly thankful that she is there! Thank you Shelby and Carlee for taking such good care of my mom!

Although I am not a resident at Bonnaventure of Pueblo, hence being able to present my perspective in that capacity, I can indeed speak to the "sincerity of character" of one of the owners, named Shannon. I met Shannon at the Senior Resiurce Development Agency (SRDA) in Pueblo, Colorado. I happened to be in their building promoting a special pricing structure as the liaison for the Pueblo Broadway Theater League. In essence, we had a significant price discount for senior citizens, and I was intent on making certain that the SRDA was able to make such know to the senior community. Now, onto why I am rating Bonaventure with 5 stars, IN PARTICUAR due to Shannon. This fine lady was in the SRDA on other matters, but was observant to the point of developing a curiosity about my Pueblo Broadway Theater League display. As it turned out, Shannon introduced herself, and I to her, and from that point forward, we discussed our mutual desire to enhance the "enjoyment" quality of life for senior citizens, but more importantly, their dignity. I was so moved by the sincerity and sensitivity in Shannon's heart, as pertaining to not only the Pueblo senior community, but seniors throughout the world. Being a senior myself, I was obviously quite taken by Shannon's caring heart and spirit. Quite frankly, she INCREASED my hope that there would be even more brighter tomorrows for those of us in the autumn of our years. In conclusion, with somebody such as Shannon, at the helm of Bonaventure of Pueblo, I would look no further for a place to reside, or at least encourage someone who is looking for a premier place for their elderly family member to reside. Nice looking facility but short staffed. Maintenance issues go unresolved for weeks! Food is plentiful, if not too much, and is very good. Response time on the call buttons us unacceptable and if you need meds dispensed at certain times...good luck. They tell you to put in a work order..but they don't have any work orders available to the residents.

I know the executive director of this facility. Shannon is one of the kindest, sweet people you could ever meet. If there is anything ever wrong, I'm sure she would go out of her way to make it correct. With Shannon as the director I would guarantee your loved ones comfort with her and her facility. If you you have a problem with anything, just let Shannon know and she will do her best to get it corrected. Love you Shannon Stemen. I know you will make your facility the best around.

I would like to say that my mother n law has been at Bonaventure for about 5 years, so we have seen a little bit of a turn over as far as employees. But a very special lady came to Bonaventure about 1/12 years ago, and from that time on, anytime we have had any questions we go to Rosanna 'Ozzie' Griffiths and our questions are answered. I never have to doubt what she says as she is always quick to get back with me, and has a comfort about telling me what the story really is. I always appreciate that Rosanne is sharing posts about the seniors on FaceBook and letting people know that they are all safe and busy. During this difficult time of the CORVID its been extremely difficult, but its nice to know that a quick call to Roseanne lets us know that she is being taken care of in a very loving matter... Thank You Ozzie!!

I have been living at Bonaventure of Pueblo since September. I enjoy participating in the activities facilitated by the Activity Director Rossana. She's always happy and full of energy. She's certainly one of the reason that I am staying at Bonaventure. She's an asset and a great addition to Bonaventure. The personal and one and one attention she gives the residents adds to the joy we all feel and we certainly feel like we are loved and cared for when Rossana's around. She get us up and going and involved in the activities. She's genuine and goes out of her way to make sure that we are happy and that each day is enjoyable Her love and care for us is evident. My mother-in-law is a resident in the assisted living section. We have had nothing but excellent communication with the director and all the staff. They have been very helpful and understanding with all of her needs. Her care is always their first concern as it is with the family. We would highly recommend Bonaventure to anyone who may need their services. We have seen Shannon, the director, interact with other residents and employees. She is the best at what she does.

**Edited** Since my original post, and getting my MIL settled, my opinion has improved. The staff at Bonaventure Pueblo has not only reached out to fix the issue and offer an apology, but has kept us very well informed about my MIL's progress and accomplishments. We get to Skype with her weekly and get pictures of her during activities so that we can see how she is adjusting. We are very thankful to have found a facility where she is safe and cared for, and where the staff is committed to her overall well-being. Our first impression while check in was not great. The communication was horrible! I was taken down to moms room with her while my husband nd his brother went to get her things from the car. The staff failed to mention until AFTER I left her with the activities group, that we couldn't get her settled in her room or set up her things. My husband and his brother didn't even get to say good bye to her. We were offered a "window visit", but we decided that doing that would be more confusing and upsetting for her. The staff seems nice, and the facility clean and comfortable. I hope our future experiences are better than today

Bonaventure of Pueblo is truly a 5-star community! The food, the service, and the experiences are all A+. Where they really thrive though is the employees, who all go above and beyond to treat the residents like family. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a retirement community!
