With previous experience in other such facilities - and their programming & staff, I feel compelled to share my experience at Silverado North Shore. Their team, attention to impactful initiatives, communication and responsiveness are all extraordinary. The support to families during this challenging transition are handled with such care and understanding. I don't know how they sort for or train them, but their associates have deep compassion and amazing patience. Importantly, they also collaborate with the outside professionals you need in your corner from time to time. Overall, they have created a rare and highly specialized approach to dementia and memory care. They have earned my highest, unreserved recommendation.

I recently had the opportunity to attend a guest event at Silverado, and I was so impressed by the warm welcome I received. From the moment I walked in, I could truly feel the heart of this community. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, and the environment is beautifully designed to create a sense of comfort, peace, and safety. As I observed the interactions between staff and residents, it was clear that genuine care and meaningful connections are at the center of everything they do. During our first visit to Silverado, we knew it was going to be the best place for my mom. Although she was not feeling ready to move, the day she moved in she felt it was like home. And she has adapted well to the new environment. In my opinion, her room is too large and a single would've been perfectly fine. Her home is the entire building, not her room. Her dog has adapted well although he could use a little more exercise and play time. I am a huge fan of Nicole and Ryan. They are always accessible. I appreciate their concern about our family dynamics. The staff knows my mom well. They always answer the phone and are friendly and solve problems or pass on information if needed. I have a lot of respect for the staff at Silverado because they must deal with a lot of emotional exhaustion. Day in and day out, rinse and repeat. As an RN, I have seen many assisted living type facilities. And I really feel like this is the nicest one I've ever been in. It is clean. It is like being in a Hilton hotel lobby when you walk in.

I wish there were more than 5 stars to give to Silverado. I moved my friend into Silverado after he no longer could manage independently at home. He was not happy to leave his home and his independence he had there. Every single interaction with Silverado and there staff made this process easier. I am a case manager in a hospital who does work in the field of hospital discharge planning. I often work with nursing homes and rehab. I had never previously worked with a place that was so accommodating, so kind. Every single staff person greeting us on move in day with such a friendly and welcoming demeanor. My friend was only 71 and I didn’t know if he would find some of the activities beneath him. He was still pretty high functioning as far as his cognition. We moved in during their cooking activity and we joined the group. He actually seemed to enjoy it. He went from sitting on his couch at home to having a days worth of activity that he could choose to partake in. I brought my dogs to visit and they have a closed in courtyard that accommodates dog visits - even encouraged them. Moving my friend into Silverado was the best thing we could do for my friend. I only wish we had done it earloer

There were many reasons why we chose Silverado as the Best memory care community for our family member: All of the care providers including environmental and administrative staff always addressed the residents with dignity and respect and truly worked together as a team. They develop special personal bonds with the residents, which is integral in helping all feel welcomed in a safe, loving, and caring community "Family Home". Full monthly activity calendars are adjusted to meet the differing level of memory care needs. The resident's individual preferences, talents, hobbies and interests are creatively blended into activities from music, arts, sports, exercise, games, cooking, news, pet activities and reminiscing times with movies, photos, etc. (to name a few). There are several areas on each level for residents and family to visit together, from comfortable alcove areas filled with art work, aviaries, aquariums, sports area, etc., along with community activity and dining areas. Silverado's pet friendly community provides additional interaction, comfort and happiness to all. There are opportunities for safe outdoor experiences, both in the courtyards along with travel trips to the Zoo, Brewers baseball games, the Domes, and van rides to the country side topped with special treats. The care providers are very good at "Re-Directing" any potential unsafe resident behaviors without scolding or telling the residents "No" or "You Can't". There is no mention of the adult degrading words of "Wet Diapers" but rather the more dignified words of "Briefs" and maybe "Being refreshed" instead. Silverado is a clean and welcoming "Home". Meals are healthy, well planned and refreshments/snacks are available and offered 24/7. Family and friends are always invited to dine with residents as people are naturally known to be social with each other over shared meals. The in house laundry is extremely well coordinated. As a family, we are very happy to have had good communication from the care providers through phone calls, emails and the Blue Stone Bridge. Silverado offers complete life and end of life care options at the same location. We'd like to extend a Heartfelt Gratitude to All of the care and support staff at Silverado North Shore Memory Care Community, with special thanks to: Zack in engagement/activities, Nicole the social worker (and in times of management transition, so much more), Carl the nurse, and each and every hands on care provider. They All deserve recognition for their outstanding level of compassion and respect that they provided to our loved one at this journey in her life.

They have given them an overall greater quality of life. Because of this, my own life is more at peace as well.

My father is a resident a Silverado for about 3 months now. He was initially living at another facility which ultimately was not the right fit for him due to some aggressive behaviors. When he initially transitioned to Silverado, my mother and I were so concerned about how he would adjust, how the staff would be, etc - all the things you'd be expected to worry about. Thankfully, he adjusted very well. One of our biggest concerns was him not having a private suite. Shockingly, he's not only adjusted well to this, but he's developed a close friendship with his roommate that's very endearing to watch, almost like brothers. Since transitioning to Silverado, his aggressive behaviors have been under much better control with the comprehensive treatment plan provided by Silverado's team. Visiting my dad is now an enjoyable experience because he seems comfortable and content, no longer agitated. Dementia is so difficult, but we have found peace with the process knowing that he's in good hands at Silverado.

My dad suffered from advanced dementia. Before we found Silverado, he was starting to have violent episodes with the staff at his prior facility. They were not equipped to handle his situation/behaviors and asked me to have him transferred to a new facility. Silverado came highly recommended. I had my dad transferred to their care in December of 2023. His violent outbursts almost immediately stopped with the change of environment and care provided at Silverado. I was very impressed with the entire staff- they were pleasant, communicative, and laid out a specific plan to suit my dad's needs. I received more communication and updates from Silverado during my dad's first week there than I did the entire 9 months of my dad's stay at his prior facility. This is the place to go when a loved one is in need of a memory care facility. Unfortunately, my dad passed away recently. However, his short stay at Silverado was a blessing. His mood greatly improved, he would smile and hug me, and fortunately passed away peacefully. Thank you Silverado!

On behalf of Betty’s family, I would like to thank Silverado for preparing the best Thanksgiving dinner I have ever tasted! We are all thankful for all of Silverado’s efforts and culinary skills utilized to prepare that outstanding meal! Mom is very lucky to have Tim as the director of culinary services. Meals have always been a big part of her life and ours as well. We gathered together over the meals to celebrate every event and accomplishment. These extra events that Silverado hosts are fabulous and have allowed us to carry on our traditions. However, they are extremely nice for me because I don't have all the extra work! My family and I are always so impressed by the spirit and comradery of the staff. The love and respect they all have for each other, and the residents is in the air and can be felt by all. Silverado truly is a special place doing special things for the residents and families. From the outside looking in, I saw caring, friendly, kind, smiling, and engaged staff assisting residents who looked well taken care of and happy. The staff and administration are exceptional in helping residents of all needs adjust and thrive in their new environment at Silverado. Residents have many areas to relax, activities to engage in for all interests, wonderful food, and so many services available to them. I love that I can bring my kids and my dog for a visit and we all feel welcome and at home with the staff and other residents. I toured a lot of other facilities before finding Silverado. There is no other place like it and it is worth every penny knowing that my dad is well taken care of and that our family is truly part of the extended Silverado family.
