My mom has been at Silverado for over 6 months and we’ve been very happy with her care there. She loves her roommate, staff are warm and treat her with understanding, dignity and respect. There is 24/7 nursing support and all staff on site, whether direct care or not, are all trained in dementia care. The environment is clean, attractive and comfortable. There are 4 floors and are arranged by residents’ needs and cognitive level. My mom seems very content to be amongst her peers, chit chatting, doing activities, going on outings and dining together. I’m so grateful for Silverado and all the staff. It has turned out to be the perfect place for my mom. She is safe, engaged, fits right in amongst her peers and has the support of staff who understand what she is going through. I’m actually not sure what we would have done had it not been for Silverado, and being right here so close to home.

They are all very attentive of their needs and on top of things! It’s very clean also ! We just love our residents, everytime we come it just feels good knowing we are leaving our residents looking more beautiful / handsome !! Silverado has been such a blessing to our family. My mother was diagnosed with dementia the same week my father passed away, which means things escalated very quickly for our family. To discovery Silverado and their facility was such a positive turn of events when we needed it most. The daily activities are well crafted for memory stimulation and sensory input. The meals are well designed, with nutrition and flavor in mind. What absolutely set this place apart though is the staff. From Peter, the Director, to the on-site nurses, and the front desk team including Eli, each and every person makes your family member staying there feel loved and cared for, and they extend that warmth to you too. They care and it shows. This makes a difficult situation of memory loss with loved ones more navigable. I cannot thank this talented team enough. Highly recommend Silverado Beach Cities.

Our mother is a long term resident of Silverado, Beach Cities. Our family strongly believes that our mother would not be alive today without the expert care, the dementia-focused enrichment programs, and the home-like environment provided. At this time, our mother's dementia has significantly progressed, however, for many years, her symptoms plateaued. I would say she even thrived in the Silverado enviromnent. The staff at Silverado are exceptional, highlighting compassion, patience, love, yes, love along with specific training in caring for persons with dementia. Few things feel lonelier than caring for someone with dementia. When I realized I could no longer safely care for my mom at home, I started a deep dive into researching memory care communities. I am so grateful my search led me to Silverado Beach Cities. I felt seen and supported the moment I walked in. The two main reasons that I chose Silverado for my mom are 1) the staff and 2) the Nexus program, which is geared toward high-functioning residents. In addition to providing excellent care for my mom, the Nexus staff also makes time to support me. Everything about the decision to move my mom was difficult, but the one thing I never doubt is that she is getting the best possible care and support. A massive shout-out to Peter, Campbell, Jessica, Eli, Clara, Lourdes, Teresa, Nancy, Noc, Jazmin, Ana, Lana, Laurie, Elizabeth, Doreen, Jean, and all of the staff. And, of course, Honey, the resident bulldog.

I can’t say enough about Silverado. Unfortunately we had to find a place for my father last year. From the day I walked in and took a tour I felt it was like home. The employees were so caring and supportive to us and treat my dad with love, dignity and respect. Their knowledge and continued training with memory care is top notch. They are all so kind and patient with all the residents. They know how to redirect them and keep them calm when they are scared or confused. They go above and beyond with daily activities and the field trips they take the residents on. My dad does things I never thought he would do. He colors and paints pictures, makes holiday decorations, arranges floral arrangements, cooks, etc. If I would have tried to do those things at home with him he would have told me no. But in their environment and with others his age participating he just goes along with it with their encouragement. They have the best parties and celebrations for the residents and their families. If there isn’t a current holiday they think of reasons to celebrate with them. They decorate and their chef makes amazing treats for all the parties and hire entertainment to get everyone involved. They maintain amazing communication with the family and always keep us up to date on my dad’s health and anytime they feel there might be a concern. I can sleep at night knowing my dad is loved and taken care with their staff and nurses. They encourage family members to spend time at the facility anytime. We love to have lunch with him. My dad and his surroundings are always clean and maintained. Thanks Silverado Staff for everything you do for my dad and our family. Along with all the other amazing residents and their families.

Our mom has been at Silverado Beach Cities for 5-1/2 years. The staff is compassionate and caring, the monthly family festivities creative and so much fun for the families and residents alike, and the delicious food and treats prepared by the chef and her staff are always a treat. It is comforting that the staff which is specially trained in working with memory-challenged residents, has little turn-over, and they have formed special attachments to the residents. The administrative staff, especially those we see when checking in to visit our mom, could not be more kind and welcoming. I’m a nursing student currently completing my clinicals at Beach Cities, and I’ve been truly impressed with this community. The building is amazing! It’s conveniently located near a variety of medical services, including doctor’s offices, labs, pharmacies, clinics and urgent care. It’s clean, and well maintained, and the staff are always kind, welcoming, and friendly. During my time here, the Clinical Manager, Bianca, took the time to give some of us a tour and explain how the community supports its residents. One of the most touching things I saw were the memory boxes outside residents’ rooms, filled with photos and meaningful pieces from their lives. I also learned about the butterflies placed on doors and the special meaning behind them. The level of compassion, respect, and attention to detail the staff show their residents is truly moving. You can genuinely feel the love and care in this community. If I ever had a loved one who needed assisted living, Beach Cities would absolutely be a place I would recommend.

I can’t sing the praises of Silverado Beach Cities highly enough. Every staff member has been educated in memory care and treat the residents with dignity and respect. They offer a wide variety of engaging activities and experiences specifically designed to slow down memory loss, while making it fun. Life is celebrated at Silverado. Holidays (both big and small), birthdays, anniversaries and more are celebrated with delicious food and over the top festive decorations. The facilities are immaculate and well maintained. I have been looking for memory care for my mom, and toured all around Los Angeles. Once I arrived at Silverado in Redondo Beach, they had a welcome sign with my name and I could feel the love right away. During my tour, all of the workers smiled and said hello to me. Choosing Silverado Beach Cities for my grandfather has been a wonderful decision. We love how much they prioritize getting residents outside; he really enjoys the gardening projects and beach walks, which keep him active and happy. Let’s face it, the transition to Memory Care is not always smooth. My father constantly asked us to take him home for the first two months. But with the kind and loving support of the whole staff at Silverado Beach Cities, he adjusted. It has a home-like setting with activities geared to his abilities and there is enough staff to support all the community activities. I am able to make connections with the other residents and support my father to make connections too. I truly believe that Silverado should be a model of what a memory care facility is.

This review is long overdue. Silverado is AMAZING!!! They truly hire the best of the best, and literally every staff member is just incredible. So kind and really understands dementia and the many facets. My dad was only here less than a year because we had to move out of state but I am so grateful for his time here. He was treated with such kindness and respect and he still often talks of the wonderful people he met here. I was so scared to put my dad in an assisted living home for the first time but Silverado made it painless. He was getting more socialization than he had in years (so many fun events!) and was treated like family. Silverado, please make a home here in the Seattle area!

Silverado is an amazing memory care facility. On each floor is a small community of residence who suffer from dementia or other memory impairment at various levels of these cruel diseases. The staff creates such a lovely family environment. Each member from administration, nurses, caregivers, food and laundry service to reception know each resident by name and know how to connect with them. In my father's case, it is not an easy task because he suffers from Lewybody dementia, (a form or Parkinson's and Dementia) but somehow they manage to make him laugh and smile. The staff is warm, respectful, kind and loving with the residents even when they are unaware that you’re watching. They are happy and caring by nature. I do not have the skills necessary to properly care for my father. Silverado provides the "loving family" environment and well-trained staff that my brothers and I cannot. They encourage family visits. Family members are always welcome at any hour. Meals with your loved one are complimentary. The staff is very communicative. Questions and phone calls are promptly return and staff is always available. We wanted to give my father the same safe lovely environment he and my mother gave us growing up. We found it in Silverado.

Over the last five years I have had five patients in Silverado. I visited them at least monthly and could see how they were treated. The staff really cares about the residents. I have been amazed that they had been able to get Patients off of psychiatric medicines for behavior problems. They really do know what they are doing in caring for people with memory issues. I have had the food on numerous occasions. The food is good. They encourage family members to come and have meals with the residents. When the spouse of one of my patients had surgery and could not come and visit for several weeks they brought her husband to the house for a birthday party for her. It was a big surprise and just shows how thoughtful they are. Keep up the good work.
