It’s not often you come across a place that genuinely feels like home, but this is one of them. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the difference. There’s a warmth here that’s hard to explain, and it’s clear the staff truly care about the residents not just because it’s their job, but because they want to. One person I really have to shout out is Shelly. She is hands down one of the most caring and dedicated directors I’ve come across. She’s not the type to just sit in an office she’s involved, she knows the residents, she supports her staff, and she leads with so much heart. You can see her impact in everything, from the way the team works together to how residents are treated with patience, kindness, and respect every single day. The building is comfortable, and welcoming, and there’s just an overall sense that people matter here. It gives a lot of peace of mind knowing your loved one is somewhere they’re not only taken care of, but truly cared about.

Our sister has resided at North Haven for 5 years. She arrived in declining health and has been nurtured back fully by caring and compassionate staff. Current Director has been there the whole time, initially providing daily cares, then dietary management before taking on facility leadership one+ year ago. Speaks well for longevity and continuity of care. We credit the Activities staff who have patiently drawn our sister out of her room and into the community. Most of all, our family knows our sister is appreciated, indeed well-loved, at North Haven.
