My husband spent a month in respite care at Artis. He was warmly welcomed by the staff and other residents there. Everyone is compassionate, professional and patient. Much thought goes into creative activities to engage and entertain the residents. The staff is cheerful and smiling, which is so important and not always the case in other places. I highly recommend Artis and hope to return there in the future.

How lucky and grateful my family and I are to have found the Artis residence and staff, who have taken in my beloved husband and provided him a safe, healthy, and compassionate environment. The Artis directors and staff members, with their cheer and skill, have made him feel welcome and vital in his new home. Activities abound and enrich him in ways we sadly could no longer provide for him at home. And, not only has Artis provided him a warm and loving community, but one for our family as well.

I volunteer at Artis leading a weekly fitness program for the residents. The staff are always welcoming and attentive and the residents seem to truly enjoy being a part of the community there. I highly recommend Artis of Potomac.

My mother moved into Artis almost one month ago, and we couldn't be happier with the care she is receiving. She is a retired dementia care nurse, who is in deep denial of her diagnosis. The care team have gone out of their way to make her feel like a valued member of the team. Noah, Debbie and Lavelle all worked closely with our family in the lead up to move in day, and beyond, to make sure mom's transition to Artis was smooth. Toni bought a personalized sweater with my mom's name, RN and a stethoscope and mom wears it proudly almost every time I visit. Mom loves the beautiful, new facility, the food, the care partners and activities. She is very well cared for and happier than we've seen her in years. We also love the residents and families we've met. It's a very sweet, loving community.

We've been working with Artis since it's opening in 2022 and have always found the staff at this community to be attentive and caring. The residents are well taken care of and we appreciate that leadership puts an emphasis on oral health in the community. We absolutely recommend Artis Senior Living of Potomac.

My dad moved in to Artis 12/04/23 as my family could no longer manage his dementia and Alzheimer's care. For something so emotional they have made this experience surprisingly smooth and somewhat easy. Every staff member is so friendly and helpful - I cannot believe they all know my dad by name already and some know our family members too. Have provided coaching and advice prepping for and through the whole transition process. Somehow they have gotten him to jump in to participating in many of their activities. Well-designed (I work in the buildings industry) and nicely appointed. Super convenient as we live nearby in surrounding Potomac area. Bonus--> my 13-year old even wants to visit because they give him free cookies and hot chocolate!

Artis of the Potomac is a hidden gem of a community located on a beautiful, woodsy hill in Potomac. What sets Artis apart from other communities I've visited is their kind and dedicated staff who work hard to ensure that each residents' individual needs and preferences are being met. The staff go the extra mile to lift their residents up and treat them as their own family. Care Partners, Mia and Tameka, are always taking the time to doll residents up, providing a hand to hold, and sharing a smile. Even the culinary staff, Tieka in particular, treat the residents with sincere compassion. It's truly a lovely place to be!

Artis is exceptional! The staff are always so kind and really care about the residents. When my grandmother didn't want the food they were offering the staff wasted no time and prepared some soup for her. My grandmother has loved being there as they provide lots of engaging activities and movies for the residents. I couldn't recommend this place more!

Our mother joined Artis in July 2022. She is really thriving and the staff and administrators are so professional and kind. We are so happy to have found this amazing caring community. The facilities are beautiful, but the commitment of the community really make the it shine.

Our Mom and Dad 87 & 95 are doing very after 6 months at Artis Potomac. They are lovingly cared for yet also given opportunities to safely independently care for themselves overnight and between meals and activities despite issues with memory loss. We love spending time with them there in the beautiful patio gardens and the cozy tastefully decorated living spaces. The activities they enjoy most are very fun exercise classes, the cooking and baking including making pretzels and the gardening, music and dancing.
