I can not say enough about Tanglewood home staff. They are the gold standard of memory care. A little piece of heaven filled with angels on earth. I had to place my father quickly after a fall elsewhere. They made this happen effortlessly! He had been in another place that could not provide the safety, and frankly was kind of cold and sterile. From the minute you walk in the door of Tanglewood you feel the diffrence. The smell of home cooked meals is often in the air. The view of the horses, the gardens and the bird feeders are beautiful and comforting. There are usually residents and their family members throughout the home. The house is spacious, so you can have privacy or be right with everybody else. It truly feels like a family home and it is for those living there. For the first time in a long time, I felt my father was safe and getting the care he needed. The piece of mind that brings is priceless. I could sleep at night. He was always clean, shaved, hair combed and in fresh clothes. Staff takes the time to address each resident on a personal level. When my father moved in, they learned about him. They asked about his interest, his likes and dislikes. They then incorporated that in their interactions with him and in his routine. This made him feel valued and like a part of the home. I watched them do this with each resident, daily. The staff are so caring and well trained to work with this population and it is evident. They laugh and joke, and handle all the difficult aspects, like sundowning, or behavioral problems with understanding, dignity and respect. This population can be be difficult to work with. They make it look easy and do an excellent job. I highly recommend Tanglewood for anyone who has a family member that needs care. You won't find better My father also passed while there. They are trained and equipped for this. They allowed our family to be there, at this difficult time. They provided the privacy, space and time in his own room for us. They brought in chairs for everyone who came, beds are provided if you want to stay 24/7 until their time of transition. They cared for him and provided support for us. You can't ask for more than that. You won't find that else where. It is rare. The downfall to this home is the administration and financial piece. Security deposit is the same as a month's rent. 6150.00. Double what others charge. They also add another 1000.00 fee to that upon departure/death. It cost 7150.00 including deposit and fees after my father died and was gone, more than the monthly rent we paid when he was living there. My financial questions were often left unanswered. I also asked repeatedly for copies of my initial paperwork after moving in, I didnt get it until a month later when my dad passed. Make sure you read everything, get everything in writing and be prepared to lose your deposit and pay extra fee's after moving or death. It's a shame that in order to get good care they take advantage of you financially.

It is frequently a difficult decision to move a loved one to Memory Care and I found that Tanglewood not only helped with the transition but also made us all feel like part of a new family. We did not want to move our mom to an institution’, but we knew a change was needed for her good and safety. Tanglewood is a home, not an institution. The management team (Angie and Deanna) are amazing. I remember early on getting an occasional phone call from one of them “ to check on me. My mom was fine, but they could see that it was an extremely hard decision and they wanted to make sure that I was okay. My mom went from telling me daily how unhappy she was (before moving to Tanglewood), to telling me during each visit how much she loves living in the country, how she loves the horses, etc., and anyone can see that she’s happy at Tanglewood. Tanglewood is large enough to provide the required care, and small enough to create a family atmosphere. I have grown attached to staff and the other residents as it does feel like my extended family now. A concern we had was that our mom would isolate herself and be by herself most of the time. At Tanglewood, she is encouraged to come out and interact “ it may be for an activity with others, or it may be to simply sit and have a cup of tea with someone. My sister-in-law needed to move her father to asst living/memory care about a year ago and she looked at MANY places but did not hear of Tanglewood at that time. When we found Tanglewood, she did not hesitate for even one minute “ it was absolutely the right place for mom. And four months later “ I could not agree with her more. It is a hidden gem that we are so blessed to have found.

As a hospice nurse that regularly visits Tanglewood Assisted Living, I highly recommend this beautiful facility. The incredible care given to their residents is Five star. Our Family absolutely loves the care that our Mother is receiving at Tanglewood. The staff is excellent and very caring of our Mom. Deanna and Lexi are 2 of the staff that we see go above and beyond to care for our Mom and treat all of us when we visit their with such compassion and we are all so grateful for the care they give to everyone . My husband and I play tunes for the residents at Tanglewood two times a month. I must say that the atmosphere is so warm and welcoming. The residents are family to us. The staff is attentive and caring. We appreciate how professional and loving they are to the the folks who have stolen our hearts at Tanglewood. Thank you Angie and Deanna!!! I loved Tanglewood from my first visit 2 years ago. The aesthetics and setting are memorable, yet the love between the walls is obvious and consistent during each visit. Angela Bostwick, manager, is dedicated, authentic and caring. Angela and Deanna, assistant manager, team up to ensure their residents experience only the best care, meals, activities and kindness 24/7. My sister has been a resident at Tanglewood for five years. She is happy there. She was in another facility and was so unhappy. I feel so grateful that she is there. The caregivers are incredibly kind and caring. They not only make my sister feel safe and loved, they also are kind to me and the rest of my siblings who are regular drop-in visitors. On days when we plan to take her to a party or church or lunch, the caregivers pick out something special for her to wear, and they curl and style her hair. The facility is clean and well-cared for. Also, they take care to work with my sister’s dietary restrictions while serving delicious meals. I truly love Tanglewood and their wonderful caregivers.

There probably isn’t enough space to share all the wonderful things about this little slice of Heaven, but it was home to my mom for the last two years and now my mother in law. It is more than just a job for the staff; it is their hearts passion and it shows. The property is absolutely gorgeous with the flower gardens and horse farm and the residents and their families became part of our family, along with the staff. We had been praying for the right place for mom and God led us to Tanglewood. We have been blessed in so many ways through our experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is having to consider placing their loved one in a facility.

My son had a severe stroke a little over a year ago, he lost his sight and short term memory. It’s been a difficult time for him and his family causing us to remove him from three other facilities before finding Tanglewood. The staff at Tanglewood understood the many problems he was having and gave him the care he needed. He has improved greatly since being there. I recommend this facility to anyone having trouble finding a care home for some one they love.

This is one of the best assistant living facilities that I have ever been into I perform exercise therapy for the patients and all the staff loves to participate. The staff are kind, loving gentle with their residents. If I ever had a family member or anyone that I knew that needed to come to live in a facility, it will be Tanglewood assisted living, especially for Memory care . The staff goes above and behind the Call of Duty with each and every resident. The meals are cooked freshly homemade. They have beautiful horses and a beautiful view from inside. And it just overwhelms me that they have staff that cares so much for each and every resident, it's just amazing.

Our family was blessed to have found Tanglewood Memory Care for our parents. Our father was a resident for 5 months and our mother for 20 months. The owners and caregivers became family and we were always made to feel at home when with our parent. Tangelwood is the BEST facility out there when it comes to the care of your loved one. I had a family friend go to Tanglewood Assisted living and everyone I met there was so nice. Jean wasn’t there long but Vanessa (caregiver) was so good to her while she was there. I met Angela (manager) she was very helpful. Even though Jean’s stay was short I’d recommend Tanglewood Assisted Living. Thank you Vanessa & (the lady) sorry I can’t remember her name might of been Jessica. (She worked after Vanessa left) but her and Vanessa were very sweet, thoughtful & helpful. Thank you all so much.
