My father recently had a decline in his health and ability to function following a stroke and hospitalization. He returned to a sub acute rehab but initially required significant one to one assistance after delirium set in. I spoke with Calvin at the Senior Company after having heard from many other options. He and his team were so helpful and easy to talk with. There was no large commitment or major security deposit and the billing was straightforward. The aids that my dad had were so helpful and kind. After an initial hard few nights right after the hospital stay I was so glad and comforted when I learned that they were talking with him at night when he was nervous and he was able to sleep. The Senior Company made a situation that was stressful and frightening much more manageable and I can without hesitation recommend their service.

My name is Sheila Westphal. My mom is 94 years old suffering from dementia. She fell while visiting my sister in NJ and broke her hip. Emergency surgery at Hackensack Hospital 3 days later we were told she was stable for discharge. She was pushed out of the hospital and sent to a subacute rehab in Cedar Grove NJ. . We arrived at 5 pm and Complete Care referred us to Senior Care for 24 hr. assistance. They had a caretaker at the facility by 8pm. Steve Romano and Irish Robles were so supportive and instrumental in getting things in place at a short notice. We have 2 wonderful caretakers : Ricardeline Castel and Mercy Kantor who treat and care for my mom as she was their own family member. They are kind and compassionate. . During the day Joanna has been fantastic. Dad can be difficult sometimes thinking he can do things but they have a great way of dealing with that. Elizabeth was with my wife for only one night. I knew this in advance. She was pleasant and kind. I would have been happy if she were available longer. Eglah was with Pina for two nights. She understood Pina’s needs. The first night was uneventful, which was a plus. The second night was different. When she arrived, peanut was angry, because Pina had been told that she would be leaving on Sunday, and she was angry because she wanted to return home. Eglah immediately sensed there was something wrong. She sat down on the bed next to Pina and took her in her arms. She soothed her and calmed her down. When I left, Pina was smiling. This short episode made me realize that Pinot was really ready to go home, and I made those arrangements immediately after I left her room. Pina slept through the night, and was asleep this morning when I arrived. She woke with a smile on her face and pat transition back to home was uneventful. I called them at 10 am on a Sunday and they had an aide with her at 7 pm same day. The manager, Steve, was prompt in answering my questions and respectful of our feelings during this difficult time. We had four aides provide care: Carmen, Nora, Rosalee, and Moyen. Each one was absolutely fantastic and it provided us great peace knowing they were caring for my grandmother. It sounds cliche, but they didn’t treat it as a job, but rather they treated it as if they were caring for their own family member. Long story short-we called The Senior Company with a difficult request with short timelines at a difficult time. They delivered in every way, which helped us feel that my grandmothers finals days were as peaceful as possible. Could not recommend enough.

Last fall, when my brother was about to be released from the in-patient rehab facility he was in, I was told that I needed to arrange for at-home heath care for him, and I needed to do it fast. This was a very stressful situation to say the least, since I live in Chicago and my brother lives in New Jersey. I was given a list of companies to choose from. On Saturday, I called the first company on the list”The Senior Company”and I am so glad I did. Calvin made the set-up process as easy as could be. First thing Monday morning, Tammy was at my brother’s home, making him laugh and feel at ease. My brother’s aides, Tammy and Anna, have given him absolutely top-notch care, which includes helping him take his medicines, making meals for him, doing household chores, assisting him with the activities of daily living, and dealing with every curveball thrown their way with calmness, grace, and humor. I am eternally grateful for the superior care that The Senior Company continues to provide for my brother.

Inese Mahana is amazing. There are not enough words to convey our deep gratitude for her and the senior company. The compassion, love and grace she showed our entire family was beyond words. She gave my grandmother dignity. She was on top of more needs than we ever even could have imagined needing. She even paid special attention to our family dog! We are keeping her an extra 2 days to help us get things in order. The manager Irish did an exceptional job choosing her for us. My husband of 42 years recently died, and Anthony Angwa was the aide attending him. Dave was in a nursing home, and I was unable to be by his side due to my own health issues. Over the course of his illness there had been several different aides. Because of Anthony we were able to spend his last days together. He had me download a phone app called WhatsApp so Dave and I could talk and see each other. I was able to talk and sing love songs to him. I could see Dave and hear him breathing. Anthony held Dave’s hand and I asked Dave to squeeze Anthony’s hand if he could hear me and Dave did. Anthony sent me Dave’s vital sign statistics. None of the other aides thought to do this. He showed compassion for both of us understanding what Dave and I were going through. He cared deeply about his patient. I feel so lucky that Anthony was there when Dave passed. He gave comfort to me, and I would highly recommend him in caring for someone you love.

I contacted Irish in order to secure a nurses assistant so that my brother could attend my daughter’s wedding. Where other company reps gave me reasons why they couldn’t do the job, Irish provided solutions. She was enthusiastic, positive and kept me in the loop every step of the way either by phone or text. The Senior Company makes a difficult time in a person’s life so much easier! What is a family to do when a family member becomes so ill,that they need assistance for a loved one? Call The Senior Company for a skilled nurse’s aid, nurse or other health needs. My family did that and we are very pleased. I am a Covid-19 survivor. I am recovering now after almost 5 months in the hospital and rehab. On the day I came home, my aide was there to welcome me and help me transition. I had a number of aides over the 5 months since . Almost all of their aides were great care takers. Annette Hunter, my current aide is exceptional. Her dedication to my well being has made my recovery easier, pleasant and effective! She is extremely reliable, kind hearted and dedicated! I look forward to each day, anticipating her arrival and assistance! She has truly made my recovery better.
