From the first time that we visited Luther Manor with my almost 93 year old mother in law (MIL), Natalie Singh has been so very welcoming, providing us with all of the info that we needed and has answered all of questions. That was 6+ months ago, however we kept in touch so that now when my MIL was ready for an ALF, Natalie once again welcomed us into their community. Natalie along with the entire team at Luther Manor helped us make the transition very smooth. Natalie is very personable, compassionate and has always take the time to help us with whatever our family and MIL has asked of her. We feel blessed to have had Natalie help us navigate thru a process which we haven't been thru before. My MIL is truly enjoying her new home at Luther Manor and I feel that we have Natalie and the team at Luther Manor to be most grateful for!!

It was a super easy process working with Natalie Singh to get my mom into Luther Manor. Natalie is very dedicated to helping. At this point, my mom has been at Luther Manor a short time, but everything is going well. I am relieved and satisfied that we chose Luther Manor.
August 2024
My mother and father-in-law, who have been married for 62 years this year, found themselves quite unexpectedly upended and needing new housing or face possible permanent separation (in different facilities). After a lot of searching, we discovered that Luther Manor had availability and met Natalie Singh. The facility itself is well established and getting some pretty awesome updates - but even more importantly - the response time, the helpfulness and general support from Natalie has been amazing. Even after they'd been admitted, she _listened_ to our concerns and continued to help us with getting our parents settled. Very very pleased to work with her and Luther Manor! Thanks so much Natalie!

My grandmother, Frances Bryant, died a horrific death here, immediately after our family got the ombudsman to come and look in on her. She spoke fearfully of how bad her treatment was- like she knew an Angel of Mercy would kill her for speaking out about the flat-out negligence she was experiencing: not being given her night time medications and being in pain and unable to sleep because of it- with little to no response from staff. We were told she was "difficult" and charged thousands of dollars more for a room with new staff that could handle her. She died immediately afterwards with no word (as I heard) from the ombudsman. I have nightmares about how they described finding her body and blame the owners for foul play. My family's reviews keep getting removed from Google. These so-called Lutherans are spending more money trying to censor us and cover up a possible serial killer's (within their establishment's) actions than actually investigating what happened, and who "handled" my grandmother that night. I feel like we're in the movie "The Changeling" fighting for justice with a company so corrupt they couldn't care less if a serial killer was mass murdering seniors so long as they got their money. In the end of that movie, so many innocent people died, what was once considered a prestigious company (the police department) was brought to complete shame and disbanded. I hope Luther Manor doesn't have the same ending. Please proceed with a thorough investigation and find who broke my grandmother's neck, and what their track record was before she died. Please.

In the several months we were trying to get my uncle approved for Medicare, and into Luther Manor, we couldn't have achieved it, if not for the heart, diligence and expertise of Natalie Singh. Each time we faced obstacles in the process, Natalie assured us not to give up. We can't thank her enough. And it appears my uncle enjoys being at Luther Manor. And, the day he moved in, they mounted his TV for him. I would recommend Luther Manor to anyone, and I would not hesitate it giving Natalie's phone number to them. Thanks again Natalie, and to the entire Luther Manor family.

I moved my dear 86 yr old friend to Luther Manor's Independent Living in November of 2023 and she loved it. She told me numerous times she wished she would have moved sooner. It is a true community of seniors looking out for each other and the staff is amazing. There are a ton of activities to enjoy. We participated in a New year's party, St. Paddy's Day party and weekly Friday at 2 pm concerts. We also worked with Luther Manor's care team to have CNAs come and help my friend. They too had big hearts and were so caring. I unfortunately lost my friend recently but I can honestly say the last 7 months of her life were so happy at Luther Manor. I would highly recommend the facilities and caring staff. I can't say enough positive things about Debbie and Donna in placement, Kathi the Director of Housing, Karen the Director of Nursing Care and two of their amazing CNAs Keisha and Natasha.

Luther Home was great from beginning to end. Natalie did a great job with the tour. Verna is a great nurse for the assisted living

Luther Manor really shines because of their dedicated staff and concern for the residents. When you place a loved one in a senior living environment, you need to know that they will be safe and treated with dignity. You also may someday need the extra services like 24/7 skilled nursing that other senior living facilities do not provide. We have been thrilled with the care that they have provided.

I went to meet Natalie in admissions to find out about having my sister become a resident here. She was so very awesome! Kind, compassionate and very knowledgeable. We are sure hoping they can place her here. Natalie said she will help us make it happen?!!

I have been dealing with my sweet sister who has dementia. She is a lovely kind lady. Her husband and I have watched that terrible illness take its toll on her. We've come to realize that her husband can no longer care for her, nor can I. I have known about Luther Manor for many years. I have only heard wonderful reports about the care given to its residents. This has been the only facility I wanted my sister to live in. I spoke with Natalie Singh about two months ago regarding admitting Anna to the memory care unit. Natalie and I worked together to try and make it happen. Natalie gave us, Anna's husband and I, and the Agency we are working with, a tour of the community she will be living in. The area Anna will live is just beautiful. The programs for the community are very good for her memory and her well being. I thank Natalie for her enthusiasm and friendly personality touring us. I appreciate her professionalism in getting this overwhelming task accomplished.
April 2024
The people at Luther Manor were friendly, helpful and made the admission process much easier than I had expected. It is only the first day but I am hopeful my loved one will feel safe and comfortable in a very short time. I was especially excited to meet people who had worked there for many years who were now residents. I expect great things! I will review again in a month. A special thank you to Natalie for being so helpful.

My parents live in independent living. While my mother limits herself from enjoying all the wonderful offerings to support vibrant independent living, my dad continues to be active and thrive in the robust environment that is available to him. I appreciate this environment that is availble to him. I have worked in many Senior Living Facilities and hands down, Luther Manor is the best support for my Senior parents.

Mom passed away peacefully last week at the age of 101. Her last decade was spent at Luther Manor. Our Family is so grateful to the staff and residents there for filling her last years of life with care, concern, fun and joy. Mom was a great woman. At age 15 she had graduated high school and was playing gigs with a swing band in 1930s Chicago jazz clubs. In the 60s, she was a rare female simultaneously holding an executive level position and caring for a family of six. She loved life, and lived it vigorously. A great woman deserved great final years, and she found them at Luther Manor. The caring and courteous staff made her and the other residents comfortable within an independent living environment of quality and safety. She was able to partake in a wide variety of regularly-scheduled interesting activities, and easily made friends among like-minded residents eager to live active, enjoyable lives. Mom took advantage of the vast array of amenities Luther Manor offered, especially restaurant dining, libraries, resident clubs, shopping both in house and via transport, and onsite health services. She was happily active until the very end. Luther Manor provided her both a safe haven and specialized services as the years passed. These included partial assistance in her independent living quarters, effective physical rehabilitation programs, and, in her final weeks, truly honorable hospice care. If you desire a full, active and happy retirement in the midst of caring people, Luther Manor stands ready to provide it. It provided Mom with wonderful years of life, and for that our Family will always be grateful.

The staff has been great with my situation. Natalie in assisted living is one of the greatest people that helped me most of all.

I would like to take moment and recognize the Chief Clinical Officer, Karen Gibbs for her assistance. I was in need of seeking a facility for placement for my mom. I was directed to their Senior Living Advisor Natalie. I highly recommend this facility to anyone seeking placement for their love ones. Natalie was very professional, and compassionate, Natalie possess outstanding customer service skills. Thank you! Natalie Singh for all your help.

Very nice and friendly staff.
October 2023
The staff from the intake person, nurse, nursing assistant, security are all so wonderful and caring. Its a hard time in life when your loved one needs to transition to assisted living. The staff knows this. They have the training and caring to help the resident and the family with the transition. And the food is very good. I highly recommend Luther Manor when the time is right.
October 2023
I have had a family member at this facility now for two years. My questions/concerns are always answered in a timely matter. I met with Natalie and she was super helpful! Sweet girl. I would definitely recommend this facility to others.

My Mother-In-Law lived in a Senior Living Apt. She had a deck with a beautiful view of the golf course, nearby shopping and a community of good friends. She enjoyed all the social activities and trips. The staff was always friendly and the food was very good. The apt building was always clean welcoming. It was a positive experience for her.

I absolutely love everyone I met today while doing intake with the amazing Natalie. My Mom was in need and they really stepped up and helped me out so much. Thank you so much.

Marketing and the Life Enhancement Director provided a wonderful, fun, tasty candy making opportunity. I learned about making chocolate hearts, dipping various foods in various chocolate. Every participant left with two boxes full of the great candy that was made. Luther Manor is blessed to have these three employees who give off their time and talent to enhance the lives of the residents. Thanks for a special time Deb, Mia and Amanda.

Working at Luther Manor have me the tuff love when it comes to having to do your assignment love the Oriental Nurse on third shift she know how to do a supervisor Job extra duties were always on our assignment setting the tables cleaning the refrigerator updating the dates and not forgetting to be asked if she comes and check to see if it has been done. She made sure if we had to do our every two hours turns is a must she making her rounds stocking the closets the linens had to be cleaned up straight and clean. We had to be on our feet doing something not watching TV. She be right there it was our job to have strict leadership in order to make it in this field of work I still have restriction so be careful how when you take some hard earned work training read the restrictions and guidance of guidelines and follow your teaching of recommendation and if you don't use it the person whom wrote it see all your accomplishments.

God bless the staff of the health care center at Luther Manor. Her care has been so amazing that she graduated from hospice after two years of their care. Very low turnover of staff, kind, caring people and good facilities. My mother is so lucky to be here. Of course there are ups and downs but overall I am grateful every day for Luther Manor.
November 2022
My mom moved into the courtyards in March and just recently passed away. I am glad we chose Luther Manor for her because it was a nice place. It was always clean and the caregivers were kind. They are definitely understaffed which make it tough at times, but I feel that her overall experience was positive. She began in assisted living but once her health started to decline she got to stay in her apartment but had hospice care and didn't have to move to a new room. She loved her room and felt safe there and that's what made it a good experience for us.
June 2022
Hands down the best care my dad has received for rehab. Staff is in top of everything.
June 2022
I have had the pleasure of working with Rachel and the Luther Manor Hospice staff on a professional level for 4 years. They have always been professional and answered any questions I've had promptly. I have and would recommend them to anybody needing to use their services for a loved one.
April 2022
My mother lived for 12 years at the LM Terrace, independent apts. She loved the people and staff there! They provide such a variety of activities available for those with different interests, opportunities for residents to gather or participate. During CoVid, they were conservative in practice and provided good communication to residents and family. Whenever I have contacted them with questions, I always received follow up to my satisfaction - a very caring group with best interest of the residents at heart!
January 2022
We had a great experience here with our dad, while he was here for rehab. He definitely got the care he needed. Everyone was so nice, and helpful.
December 2021
Response time is terrible. I'm not supposed to get up without help had to use the restroom BAD. I waited 20 minutes and the got my self into my wheel chair got to the bathroom and on the toilet. Sat there for another 10 minutes before aide finally showed up. I was lucky I did not fall. Am diabetic and this is my third day here and they still have me on a regular diet. I need insulin before I eat and nurse is nowhere in sight and my food is getting cold. Haven't had official rehab treatments yet. Can't wait to see what that brings!!
October 2021
My sister was deeply depressed and attempted suicide. She was admitted to St Frances Ascension located on 13th and Oklahoma. During the time she was there, she was not responding to medications and the situation was so bad that we tried something called E.C.T., which is basically a type of electric shock therapy. The therapy worked, but left her with a deep memory loss. None of the family could stay with her during her recovery, but we found that the Lutheran Manor had a program called "The Bridge" which turned out to be a nicely furnished efficiency apartment on the same floor of the nursing staff. My sister was monitored by the staff who also monitored the pills she was taking. After 4 weeks at Lutheran Manor and "The Bridge Program", I am happy to say my sister is now back at home taking care of herself, and here memory has mostly returned. The program was designed for people who needed a place to stay while the decision was made to either go home, or go to assisted living. To my knowledge, there is not another program like this in the city. I give it 5 starts on everything. Food, Accommodations, and care. H.L.

We have lived in an Independent apartment at Luther Manor for two years, and we find this life style a perfect fit for us at 84 years of age. We have made many new friends among the wonderful people who live here. We are retired musicians and have found many opportunities to continue to enjoy performing, from singing in a residents' choir to leading monthly sing-alongs and playing in an instrumental trio. We have learned to play cribbage and participate in a monthly book club and Veterans Club. We walk almost two miles every day enjoying the beautifully landscaped grounds that surround Luther Manor. We enjoy good food and interesting conversations in the dining room. We are happy we chose to move here when we did.

Sherry and Laurie were awesome as my sisters and I struggled with an unexpected relocation of my parents. They understood, better than we, the challenges, having long term history in the field and personal history with their own family. It was meaningful and helpful to know they sincerely cared, had answers, knew options and were abundantly patient with all of us. Our folks are settling in and enjoying the fabulous campus, spacious apartment and many and varied activities. Thank you to Luther Manor! Thank you Sherry and Laurie!
June 2020
Luther Manor is a wonderful place. My mother in law is 96 and has been there for seven years. We have found all the staff we have ever dealt with to be wonderful, caring, and ready to listen. The facilities are beautiful and clean. I don't know how they do it, but you don't smell bad odors (ex. urine smells, etc). Other nursing homes should learn from them. My mother in law is happy there and often mentions how nice the staff is. We are happy too. The nurses have even gone out of their way to FaceTime us twice during the shutdown due to the Covid-19 virus. The guard (a retired Milwaukee police officer) at the US Government Office I worked at had a wife who worked there as a nurse for 28 years. She loved working there and he would volunteer there because it was such a positive place. He would often tell me that if he ever needed a nursing home, this is where he would want to go. As a result, when my mother in law needed a place seven years ago, we were thrilled to be able to get her in. We have never regretted that decision.

This is a wonderful facility with friendly and personable staff. Their job is so difficult and they handle everything with such care and professionalism. We're grateful for the excellent care they give our loved ones.

My husband was there for rehabilitation unfortunately he has a brain tumor. 98% of the general staff was very uncaring and made us feel like he was a inconvenience. One should never have to wait for over 25 minutes to have a nurse/cna attent to the needs. On the bright side the 2% of the nurse(only 1) made a difference and several (2/3) the PTA staff did what he allowed and his OTA was great. And a great shout out to his case manager she was super.
October 2019
Luther Manor has an outstanding facility with excellent staff, Kathleen Cleppe and Kathy Jastromski have been especially helpful with their communications with me and helping me assist in getting the best care for my family member. I highly endorse Luther Manor for their level of care and professionalism.
June 2019
Started out with Luther Manor over 4 years ago with my father. My mother moved in months later. Wonderful care. But since the place is under new management staff has been cut. Not enough nurses, not enough CNAs. People seem to be doing more than one job at a time. Long wait times when red button is pushed for help. My mother's care has seem to have fallen thru the cracks. I have to call repeatedly to staff for issues and call backs are long in being returned, if at all. So unhappy with Luther Manor right now.
November 2018
I love the layout and great hospitality, although it did take about 45 minutes for a maintenance guy to get down to the family room to see if he could get a stove working. (Stove never worked afterward anyway)
March 2018
Nice people but they're completely incompetent when it comes to caring for your family or following doctors orders.
