My mom broke her hip in June of 2024. After her surgery and hospital stay, we needed to find a transitional care place for her to do her rehabilitation before going back home. We chose Ecumen in North Branch and we were so glad we did! The staff were kind, compassionate and stayed on top of mom's care. My mom actually had a fall while there and the clinical director immediately called to let us know what happened. We chose to have an ambulance come and take her to the hospital for thorough examination. Thankfully everything was fine! The best part of Ecumen North Branch for our family was the SENSE OF COMMUNITY they provided. Everyone was talking together at meal times. Staff stopped to talk to clients regularly and seemed to genuinely care about how their day was going. Staff even offered us coffee and showed us where the treat baskets were. It was like a big family! I think this is so critical when clients and family are feeling discouraged, depressed and displaced. A moment of care goes a long way! We had someone in the family stop in every day to check on mom and the care she was receiving. We were never disappointed with the care she received. Thank you Ecumen North Branch for getting us all through a very difficult time of transition. We would choose you again in a heartbeat!

A nice cozy homey place...my Dad is in Assisted Living there and he has a little Kitchenette and Refrigerator, a nice large Iiving Room, a large bathroom and walk in shower and a nice size bedroom. He has 2 meals a day in the dining room and on Saturdays they have game days and treats that we have gone to share with him... We took him out to a Restaurant for Father's Day! They also have someone helping with his medicines.

I have visited a friend in rehab there several times now and I have to wonder why no one responds to the calls from residents. I have walked in and seen two or three staff folks hovered together around an area with call buttons going off and no one seems to care. I have visited and heard the the calls for help go one for several minutes. I know my friend has also had to wait for several minutes to get help when she called for it (and she is far from demanding). I can't imagine how hard this work must be but I worry about the lack of attention.

We recently spent 5 months with my elderly mother here, and the care and attention she received was wonderful. I would highly recommend.

I worked there for a short time but left due to the amount of work, nursing work, put on staff with minimal training. Too many of staff working double shifts. It is an unsafe environment for elderly.
