I have 2 very close friends who moved into Cross Creek a few months ago. I visit them weekly at different times of the day. They are always with others, playing games or eating what looks like great meals. The staff are all so friendly, and always have something good to say about each of them. Both ladies were very upset when learning they had to leave their homes, but have fit in so wonderfully, thanks to the kind staff, as well as the wonderful activities director who has kept all of them involved with games and activities throughout every day of the week. If my parents were still alive and needed to be moved, I wouldn't hesitate to put them in Cross Creek!

Cross Creek is more like a family than a care facility. The director has created a culture of warm positivity in a health care environment. The staff nurses, med techs, aides, those in food service, activities, housekeeping and admin have smiles on their faces as they care for the residents and interact with their families. Mom has been there for four months and we couldn't be more pleased.

I highly recommend Cross Creek! It is a clean and inviting place. My family member has been here for over a year. He gets excellent care. He participates in various activities and enjoys interacting with others. The staff is kind, attentive, friendly and helpful. They pay attention to the residents. I am thankful to have a place where my family member can be happy and contented.

If you live in the Kansas City Area and you are looking for memory care for a loved one, stop looking because Cross Creek of Lee's Summit is place to be. The Cross Creek facility is beautiful, the care is amazing and the leases are reasonably priced. In addition, the staff made the transition from care facilities hassle free.

Cross Creek Lee's Summit turned out to be the best possible choice for my brother, who just spent his last 3 months of life there. The facilities are well apportioned, exceptionally clean and always comfortable. The staff was amazing. Kind, courteous and always helpful. Food service outstanding. The meals very appetizing. My dad has been there for 2 years. He has gained weight from their wonderful meals, interacts with others and dances when they play music. They take great care of him, he is safe and which gives me peace. Highly recommend cross creek. Thank you for all you do!

Cross Creek at Lee's Summit is a wonderful facility for a loved one! Amber (Director of Nursing) is AMAZING and the entire staff is kind hearted! The facility is beautiful, clean and inviting! The staff is very involved with the clients and it's like one big family! I highly recommend Cross Creek!

My dad has been at Cross Creek since the end of July 2021. He has had multiple falls since 2018 and the last one (May 2021) was a broken hip that required surgery. After nursing rehab there was no way for him to go back home (cognitively or physically) so I toured Cross Creek. When I went for my tour, I ran into several people that I had not seen in a very long time that had family members there. I did not look any further and am very happy with my decision to not look any further! The facility is clean, well maintained and the staff have been consistent. Laura (Executive Director), and Amber (Director of Nursing) can routinely be seen on the floor jumping in to do whatever needs to be done. The staff are attentive and have always been willing to help. They always recognize residents as well as most family members. When my dad was at home with home health, I was always worrying. Now, I know he's safe, well fed and taken care of! Priceless feeling. I'm very pleased with my decision!!

My Mother was at this wonderful facility for over 3 years. She was one of the first residents to move into this beautiful and caring assisted living memory care home. This became her new home as her memory gradually deteriorated over time. The staff at Cross Creek took such good care of my Mom and kept her so busy with activities the last 3 years of her life. With Mom being a retired teacher this was perfect for her. The family always knew that Mom was in safe and caring hands. They handled Covid-19 and still are with the upmost care. My Mom passed recently and I cannot thank the staff enough for making my Mom's final years so wonderful. The entire staff, chefs, recreation therapist with Chumlee the dog, administrative assistant and director are very wonderful, helpful and caring people. We were so happy we found this facility after looking at all the memory care units in Eastern Jackson County. Thank you for everything.

I can't say enough about our experience at Cross Creek in Lee's Summit, MO. Dad lived there from December 2019 through June, 2021. The staff is what really stood out to me. The caregivers gave us so much comfort knowing that dad really was in good hands. We had a camera in his room so we could see dad when we weren't able to be there. To see them so nurturing, loving and kind to him would just bring tears of joy to me. To hear them tell him he looked so handsome, to the dancing and singing with him bringing him smiles will never be forgotten. It takes special people to work in this industry and there were a few that really stood out and I want to just say thank you to them: Kiona and Skylar were especially so sweet and kind - their personalities are 150% genuine and sweet, their love and compassion for the elderly is outstanding. Verna and Shannon, you were awesome! I know things can get a little tough when you care for those with dementia and Alzheimers yet you showed love, patience and kindness and it did not go unnoticed. Hailey, you were one of the first people I noticed when dad moved in and that alone helped me through the process of realizing that we made the right decision to move dad in. Lajuana and Marsha - you both touched our hearts too! I'd name you all if I could! The whole staff, the therapists, the housecleaners, the kitchen staff (Edna - you are one awesome lady!), the front desk (Roxanne and Judy), everyone knew dad and would tell me how much they loved him. Never once did you ever walk in and notice anything awry. This truly is a special place and I really want everyone there to know they were truly a Godsend to us and you are forever etched in my memory. I love this place. The home is beautiful, the rooms are very large. But the most amazing thing is the staff. I live in California and my Aunt lives at Cross Creek. I have had the staff reach out to me numerous times to discuss her needs and care, and not just the normal stuff. One spent 30 minutes with me on the phone helping me find support hose that would work. Another went above and beyond to help us fix my aunt's cell phone. They have dismantled and reassembled her crazy sleep number bed twice because she said it wasn't comfortable and all the time were kind and caring. They have taken the time to get to know her and do everything they can to ensure she is well. Thank you Cross Creek, I am glad we chose you!

Cross Creek is a beautiful facility it is bright and full of light, the resident rooms are spacious BUT that is really all that I can think of to say that is good about it. There is little to no communication among staff, I don't think the majority of the staff has any patient care skills or training in how to deal with memory care patients. Every time that I was up there the staff seemed annoyed at having to help residents with anything. The staff could not follow basic instructions like - when changing sheets and taking OFF the mattress protector please place a clean one (provided) on under the new clean sheets. This resulted in a completely ruined mattress that the staff then suggested that I bring in a steam cleaner and clean myself. We were assured that the mattress would be replaced due to it being their error and it was not. Even after this a large sign was placed in the room stating to please put on mattress protector after changing sheets and it was still not done. On our last day I took his sheets off the bed and under the sheets was a towel in the middle of the bed over a big wet spot... seriously? We paid for the KC Star newspaper to be delivered there daily, the staff would take his coupons out before giving him the paper. Not that he was going to be going shopping but seriously he paid for that, leave his paper alone! The staff would help him change clothes and pull a buttoned polo up over his head without unbuttoning it first or taking off his glasses or hearing aids first resulting in broken glasses and hearing aids. They struggled with following through on orders from PT, I had to repeatedly ask for the staff to follow through with what they ordered and had to email the director to get it to actually happen (3 weeks later). We only stayed here about 6 weeks and would not recommend them to anyone with a family member that is in a wheelchair or needs extra help with anything like bathing, changing clothes etc. Even if their director - Lewis - assures you over and over that they can handle it... they cannot.
