Our mother lived at CareOne for about a year and four months. She had dementia and first lived in the memory care unit on the second floor, and later moved to the third floor when she needed more care. After recently packing up her room, my sister and I found ourselves remembering how many wonderful moments we shared with her there. CareOne created a real sense of community for residents and families. They held seasonal and holiday gatherings that invited families to join their loved ones. One of our favorite memories was her first Christmas there, when about 15 members of our family gathered in the balcony lounge to share Chinese take-out together. The lounge has shuffleboard and an arcade-style basketball hoop, which made it fun for both the kids and adults to play with our mom. They also organized outings for residents. One time they arranged a trip to Dunkin’ Donuts and invited my sister and me to join our mother, which was very special. There were many thoughtful activities for residents — balloon volleyball, musical entertainment, cooking activities, trivia, and even bowling with a plastic bowling set. The building itself is beautiful and feels more like a hotel than a facility. When my mother first moved in, I told her she was moving into a hotel. Our mother’s great-grandchildren especially loved visiting because there was a playroom where they could play while she watched them and spent time with all of us. It made visits feel relaxed and joyful for the whole family. The director, Emily, was especially supportive. She held monthly dementia education sessions for families (in person and on Zoom) and organized family meetings with staff to help us develop strategies to help our mother feel comfortable in her new home. Most importantly, the staff was always warm and welcoming when we visited and kept us informed about how our mother was doing. We are grateful for the care and kindness shown to her during her time there. Sonya was treated with dignity and warmth, and our family will always be grateful for the memories we were able to share with her there.

My mom has been a resident at the care one assisted Living in East Brunswick for almost a year now and it was the best thing she has ever done. The facility is bright and clean. The staff is excellent everyone of them are helpful friendly and compassionate. My mom loves her new home with all the activities they have she is always happy and never gets bored. I would recommend this facility to anyone its the BEST!!!!!!

My Mom has been at Care One EB assisted living for almost a year now and this place has exceeded my expectations day in and day out. Not only is the facility terrific but I can't say enough about the staff. The Care givers, the nurses, the med techs, activities, house keeping and maintenance...I could go on and on. Mom and I want to give a special shout out to the management team...Ekta, Tim, Trixie, Kim, Sarah, Emily, Tara, Kelly, Rob, Rosanne...you guys rock! As an East Brunswick resident, I am grateful for all of their community support including their yearly carnival, fundraising efforts for charities in town, (ex Daisy Recreation ), being a proactive member if the East Brunswick Chamber if Commerce etc. As a healthcare professional, I have had the priviledge of seeing their amazing staff in action with their residents and work with them accordingly. My husband is coming on up on 1 year in October. We could not feel more satisfied with the outstanding care that he receives. From the executive director to the Care Partners each goes above to make sure he is well cared for. During the day, he is kept busy with the great activities and outings. They make sure that he is living a full life. You feel heard when you have a request and know that it will be addressed with no excuses or push back. Ekta the Executive Director is incredible in her desire to provide excellent care and interactions with the residents! As well as Emily the Director of Dementia! If you have a medical concern, you feel assured that it will be responded to. The facility is well maintained, beautiful and welcoming. Each month there is a family night with dinner that you get to share time with other families that is a wonderful evening for all! We feel so thankful that he is with this community and team. It gives us peace that he is safe and getting the best care.

My sister has multiple medical issues and has been in respite care at Care One Assisted Living for a few weeks now. I am a retired Registered Nurse who knows a thing or two of good healthcare. I wish I could give the team at this assisted living organization more than 5 stars. My sister has decided to enter assisted living with the families approval. The reason is simple, excellent care by all disciplines from housekeeping, dietary, administration, and especially nursing and their assistants. The patient and family is very satisfied with what we have experienced thus far.

My husband Jim entered Care One Memory Care in April. It was an uneasy adjustment but thanks to the expert care & support of the entire administration & staff he has a new home. He enjoys his daily activities & exercising, as he is task oriented. Making a decision to enter a Memory Care facility is not an easy one. Many thanks to the expertise training of the staff & their ongoing loving care for Jim & all those in their care. I continue to be impressed with the daily Social time, Art Projects, Restaurant Lunches and monthly Family Night.

My dad had a rapid decline due to vascular dementia and he was discharged from another Assisted Living following the decline. Most memory care placements would have been inappropriate because he doesn't wander or get lost and is still very active. CareOne has such a superb focus on the varying needs of people with dementia and after assessing him they found the perfect fit for him at their facility and it's amazing! He was immediately embraced into the community by the ENTIRE staff and his fellow residents. The amenties and activies FAR exceed the options provided by his previous Assisted Living. Other facilities make lots of promises and I can say from experience, they don't follow through. Yes, the room he has is smaller but he still has plenty of room for his personal belongings and like anyone who has ever been on a cruise will say, you spend most of your time out of the room anyway. I'm especially relieved that because CareOne mingles their residents so well, as my dad's needs advance and the day comes when he needs the next level of care, he will already know other people and staff from that level and the transition will be so much easier for him. The CareOne's team attention doesn't end at the resident. I feel equally cared about by EVERY staff member I've encountered. They truly understand and embrace the resident's family into theirs.

I can't thank the team at COEB assisted living enough. I had a client in a very compromised state after hospitalizations, rehab stays, infections, and the like. He required the use of a peg tube, which 99.99% of assisted livings cannot accommodate. He was also experiencing extremely intense symptoms of Parkinson's dementia with debilitating paranoia. He needed a lot of oversight, TLC, and rehabilitation to get back on his feet (and back to his "normal" or new baseline). After a three month stay, he is now thriving. The CareOne team has been attentive and empathetic. They were available 24/7 to address concerns and ensure my client was safe and well cared for. I am blown away by the Executive Director Ekta, Dementia Specialist Emily, the care team, the nurses.. everyone! I feel confident sending my clients to this community. Thank you all!

My mom has been at Care One at East Brunswick Alf for 1yr. She is 91yrs old and doing amazing. The staff is amazing, she participates in all the activities and goes on all the trips. I had my mom at another assisted living and she was declining drastically as soon as she got to East Brunswick they made sure she participated in all activities and trips. She has truly excelled. She especially loves the movie theatre. From the administrator down to front line staff they are great. I highly recommend this assisted living for your loved one. CareOne East Brunswick- My Mom was a resident from 12/21-1/23. This facility is beautiful and reminds me an upscale hotel. The decor is always tasteful and reflects thought and investment in the environment. More importantly, the people who work at CareOne always took great care of my Mom. As her dementia advanced , her needs and the approach to her care changed based on proven treatments for these types of patients. Not necessarily medical treatment but personal needs and specific approaches .to best meet her needs emotionally too. The dementia specialist Emily Barrata provided frequent educational meetings for family members - every meeting helped me to better understand dementia and my mother's behavior. The nursing staff, especially Steven and Stella always kept us updated on my Mom's condition. The nursing assistants were always kind and attentive too. The Director Ekta Shah was readily available either by email , phone or in person . This is very important especially during the past three years in healthcare . If we had concerns or questions we were able to reach out to Ekta or Emily. There was always a prompt response from them . As sad and difficult as it was to have this long goodbye as my Mom's dementia advanced I knew she was well cared for at CareOne. My family and I never regretted selecting CareOne for our Mom . I do not hesitate recommending this fine facility.

Care One at East Brunswick Assisted Living have looked after my mother in the most wonderful way. Her room is beautiful, clean and safe. The nurses and staff have facilitated every request. I know that my mother is never alone and that all staff have shown a genuine concern for her happiness and well being. Furthermore, the admin at Care One have facilitated every aspect of my mother's care regardless of whether she is in hospital or in hospice care. Having to place your loved one in the care of what at the time are strangers is the hardest thing I ever had too due. My mom had early stage dementia and we were not able to care for her at home SAFELY anymore. She was really shutting down and we had a hard time getting her out of bed in the morning. I am not going to lie the beginning of her stay was not easy and there were some tough times but with the knowledge and support Emily (Dementia Specialist) and the team we were able to get thru the tough days and feel blessed with the good days. She now attends all activities, loves the Bingo, painting and especially the entertainment (Thanks Kim!). Now, we consider Ekta and her staff at CareOne family! They truly care for your loved ones as if they are their own. I credit this to Ekta and her hands on relationship with the residents and staff. CareOne at East Brunswick is a boutique Assisted Living providing not only the most functional decor, but more importantly, an experienced team with the ability to medically stabilize my Aunt and provide her a consistent routine to ensure she at her highest level of function. Our family is completely at ease during this transition as Chris and his team have provided the utmost support for not only our Aunt but our family. As a side note, We called Auntie in the evening and she recalled all of her activity for the day, down to what she had for breakfast....(I dont remember what I eat for breakfast) This is an example of the wonderful care she is being provided by CareOne The COVID precautions are in place, they are seamless in providing support during her quarantine and she is not stressed in her apartment. We understand this is necessary to keep all staff and residents safe.... Again and again, we recommend East Brunswick to those looking for safe haven for their loved one.. Thank you CareOn

I recently moved my mother into CareOne from a nursing home in East Brunswick that I was very dissatisfied with. I was looking for a nursing facility to help take care of my mother's memory needs. After much research, I moved my mother in this April. My mom has been at CareOne now for 3 weeks. I have nothing to say other than what a difference! Prior to move in I sat down with the staff and in detail we went thru my mother's needs and what my expectations were. I followed up by contacting a family member that was a reference. I have spent the last several years taking care of my mother and it has been exhausting. I would do anything for my mothers care but my life as a wife and mother have definitely taken a back seat. The one thing that stands out in my mind from the reference, was that "You will get your life back!" I am a very involved daughter. CareOne has been wonderful from the move, to her care. I can't tell you how happy I am to know my mother is being cared for not only by compassionate people, but very qualified people. It is very comforting to know my mom is being not only cared for but, truly cared about. If you are looking into facilities to take care of your loved one, look no further. Your search ends here! I have done all the research and lived some pain by having my mother elsewhere. I highly recommend CareOne at East Brunswick!!!
