The sales staff will lie to you. Know this going in. They told us there were "a few" memory care patients and after my elderly parent moved in, we discovered that they were the ONLY non-memory care patient at that time. That fluctuates, but typically there are only a few people who arent memory care. It makes it difficult for a cognitively sharp elderly person to stay that way when there is no socializing with others who are also still sharp. The sales staff also lied about special diets (aka low sodium, etc). They do not accommodate. They also said they had a chef, its the care staff preparing frozen meals sometimes. There is not a chef. The care staff was amazing. Those gals (and guys) were incredible. When my parent was hospitalized a few times, they called to check on them and made sure that they were okay. They were like family to my elderly parent. We were so sad to have my parent move to another assisted living facility. The admin changed while my parent was there, and it is a case of nepotism now. The admin is not so great. They stopped putting paper towels in the bathrooms of the residents saying it was a "cost saving" measure. Two months later they put up a multi-tiered fountain in the front with an iron(or aluminum) fence along with additional decorative features. They have a lovely courtyard for the residents, the additional fountain was, in my opinion, a poor tradeoff for residents having paper towels. I gave three stars because the care staff was so incredibly kind. They are woefully under-paid, but continue to provide the kind of care to the residents that made you feel that they were family. The cost of the facility is significantly higher now than it was 2 or three years ago. They go up about 6% a year on the cost. Sales will not tell you that. If you need memory care this might be what you are looking for. If your elderly parent is still cognitively sharp, look elsewhere.

Thank you Brookstone for your exceptional care of our papa. Top notch staff in every department. Admin was easy to talk to and kept us well informed. He was well kept and loved even more. His meds were always given on time, dining service was restaurant style with great quality food, rooms were stocked and cleaned, many activities and space to move around inside and in the courtyards. They knew when it was time for Hospice and assisted with his comfort care and meds allowing us to surround him until the end where he passed peacefully all while also supporting us and showing generosity and empathy. I will forever be grateful.

Have seen a ton of facilities in my career and this one stands out as the best. There are always activities going. Rsidents move freely around the building and are never left isolated or alone.Tons of crafts and social activities. The staff here truly go above and beyond in more ways than one. The staff love the residents like their own and the residents love them back! All the residents truly seem happy and fulfilled!!
