My and my family's relationship with Brandywine Fenwick Island has already been and, I hope, continues to be a long-term one. Together we are Team Mom. As in all such relationships, perhaps especially those centered on the ever changing world of any individual senior, Team Mom from time to time needs to take stock of where we are and tweak our path forward as a team with a specific purpose: to assist Mom as well as possible to live her optimal life at Brandywine Fenwick Island. That purpose is the essence of Assisted Living. My personal relationship with Brandywine Fenwick Island over the last four and a half years indicates that Brandywine gets the the essence of Assisted Living and, as part of Team Mom, strives every day to achieve that essence.

My mom has been thoroughly enjoying her life at Brandywine at Fenwick Island for the past 9 months! I am so thankful for the personal attention and care she receives at Brandywine. She still has a sense of feeling "independent" in the safety of an Assisted Living community. All of the staff I have met are extremely caring, and my mom has felt welcomed and accepted into a new community since the day she moved in. She enjoys the balance of joining in fun activities, outings, and wonderfully prepared meals, along with her down time in her beautiful apartment when she also needs that. I love how close Brandywine is to my home in Bethany Beach, and visiting her regularly is easy and a joy for me. (I have even had the opportunity to volunteer at Brandywine with a few of the other residents, playing a weekly Scrabble game with them!). All in all, I am very grateful for the caring home and safe community my mom has at Brandywine Living at Fenwick.

I am thrilled that I found and chose Brandywine Living at Fenwick for my Mom. She is very safe and I can see that she is happy and content. Mom's memory loss doesn't get in the way of the entire staff ensuring she is out and about and enjoying all of the activities that are available. Meals are tasty and there is great variety. You can see the smiles on everyone's face at Brandywine; staff and residents alike. Brandywine is a family and a community and I cannot say enough good things about them. When I visit Mom, it is a pleasure to be with her and to engage with everyone there.

My mother reluctantly moved into Brandywine Senior Living at Fenwick Island after suffering a stroke. Thinking she would need critical care the rest of her life, my brother and I worked very hard to convince her that moving into that BEAUTIFUL facility was absolutely the best thing for her safety and well-being. She received exceptional care and the staff made her feel so welcome and loved that she fully embraced her new life there. It didn't take long for the magic of the Brandywine staff to fill my mom with love and hope, and she recovered quickly from the limitations of her stroke. Now in her fifth year at Brandywine as a spry 93 year-old, she continues to sing the praises of the amazing staff, endlessly complimenting their efforts to keep the residents engaged and happy. Even through all of the very tough quarantine requirements that impacted the residents and staff through COVID - and continues to do so - my mom has stayed positive and grateful. Equating her experiences at Brandywine to that of a never-ending luxury cruise, I am forever grateful to the staff at Brandywine for affording my mom quality life experiences, for making her feel special every day, and for treating her with the dignity and respect she deserves.

We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to the Brandywine Assisted Living Facility at Fenwick Island, DE. From the first contact with Brandywine we were totally impressed with the introduction. The representatives were extremely knowledgeable and professional in providing guidance and information. The entire staff of this facility, from administrative personnel, nursing staff, and all the general employees are courteous, kind, caring and professional. Since living at The Brandywine my Brother's health has had exceptional improvement in his health. He has complimented the staff to us repeatedly. We would also like to compliment the the entire staff on their handling of the Corona Virus, while many restrictions are in place the staff has been most helpful in providing accommodations for deliveries and such. To their credit no deaths have been reported!

Moved my parents to Brandywine just before Thanksgiving and the experience has been wonderful. They both were reluctant to move from their assisted living community in NY but are settling in nicely. My mother suffers from alzheimers and my father from dementia and we have seen improvements in both of them in just the few weeks they have been there. The staff is wonderful and the facility is gorgeous! Lots of activities and the meals are great as well. Thanks to all!!

My Mom has been living at Brandwine at Fenwick for a little over 2.5 years now. I can't be more thankful for the level of care provided by the entire Brandwine team. Whether it be the front desk, maintenance, dining room, housekeeping, nursing, or activities staff, or anyone else for that matter, the service level and quality of care is outstanding. They are consistently knowledgable, responsive, and communicative. In particular, my Mom has faced two major health issues while in residence and I can not be more grateful for the team.

What a gorgeous facility! The staff is so accommodating(don't ask me how they could all be so sweet)....and patient. This is a beautiful place.. I was very impressed with all that I saw. Workers were friendly and cordial. The residents were treated with great respect and appeared to be happy in the positive environment afforded them. Lunch was delicious...and server was very attentive. My mother has been a resident of Brandywine since October, 2014. She has thrived under the excellent care of the Wellness team and the kind and professional staff - too many to compliment in this tiny space! She misses "home" but admitted to me on my last visit that she really did like it a lot. This was a huge step for her - and me. Who knocks on your door to remind you of bingo or other events going on - and makes sure that you attend the many outings planned? She has a social life and participates in most activities. She is secure in knowing she is not alone and is treated with kindness and respect when in need. She has friends at happy hour and dances as often as she can - all the while living as independent a life as she can. Eileen Bennett has been amazing...she knows and cares about all her residents -she has been a god-send and all the staff at Brandywine are a reflection of her genuine concern for all residents welfare and happiness. To know that my mother is safe and in such a beautiful place is priceless...so appreciate all you all do everyday!

My name is Carol McCloud. I am the president of the Barefoot Gardeners Club in Fenwick Island, DE. On June 25, 2016 our Club held a Flower Show at Brandywine Senior Living. From day one, when we first approached Brandywine to hold our show there, they were so wonderful to work with. We started with Kathy and ended up working with Christine & Jeannie. There was nothing too small or too large of a request. Anything we asked they would bend over backwards to make sure that they took care of it. The entire staff had the nicest personalities. You can tell they love what they do. Many of the people who attended the show stated that it was the "perfect" venue for our flower show. The judges even stated that in their comments to us. The facility was not only gorgeous, the location was perfect, the rooms were perfect and the staff was perfect. We enjoyed working with all of them. One of the highlights of the day was the display that we had from the residents. They truly enjoyed being a part of our show. I personally had a wonderful time working with the staff and became good friends with each of them, especially Christine & Jeannie. Looking forward to working with them in the future for other events. As a matter of fact we'll be using the facility in November. I can't wait! Carol McCloud

My garden club recently presented our Standard Flower Show "Coasting Along" at Brandywine. I cannot praise the entire staff enough for the cooperation and helpfulness that was given to our club members, the judges, and the many people that came to enjoy the show. We could not ask for anything that we didn't get a resounding "we can do that". We invited all the residents of Brandywine to not only attend the show but to enter their own plants that they may have in their rooms in a special class within the show. All eight that entered received a very special Certificate of Excellent Participation and Appreciation. When we presented them with their certificates, you could tell that they were very proud of their entries. We also had a photo shoot so they can show their accomplishments to their family and friends. I want to especially thank Christine Warrington for making it an enjoyable experience for everyone involved. I can tell by the way she treats the residents and guests that she absolutely loves her job because she does it so well.
