My mom lived here from July 2023 until she passed away in the beginning of June 2024. The care she received there was great. She loved many of the med techs and aides like her own children and there were many who loved her right back. The staff was great at making sure that as her dementia got worse that they communicated with us kids anytime she had even the slightest change in condition. Staff members also took the time to get to know us kids and would greet us as we walked the halls, giving us updates on my mom before we even would reach her room. When she passed away they were all wonderful and made sure her last moments were cared for. I would definitely recommend them for friends and family that need assisted living care for their loved ones.

My mom stayed there for a 2 week respite stay so we could go on vacation. It was great to go away and know she was being well cared for. When I came back to take her home she was a little sad because she made some new friends and felt connected to the staff. I guess that means it was a great stay!

Everyone is very friendly and courteous when I deliver there. The building is very neat, clean and up-to-date. Residents are very friendly as well, when I encounter them. Highly recommended.

I was impressed with the facility this past week when I visited there, especially with the staff. They were happy and cheerful and respectful with the residents- neat and clean in appearance- and just generally seemed to enjoy their jobs!. The facility was clean and neat, and whatever they were cooking in their kitchen smelled wonderful!

My Aunt has been a resident of Appledorn South for 3 years. It has been a great experience. The staff is kind and caring. They take the time to know the residents. The activities are well organized and give all the residents opportunities to participate, they have musicians in regularly, they take the residents to lunch and other outside activities in the community. They offer many services right at the home, like a hairdresser and foot doctor and the dental bus. it helps make life easier as being a caregiver is challenging.

My Dad has been at Appledorn South for about a year. The care and support that he, and our family, has received has meant so much to us. It is so nice to be able to be a daughter and not caretaker. At Appledorn, we know that he is safe, warm, fed, and cared for, which is a relief. The staff truly cares for him as a person, not just a resident, and treats him with respect and dignity. We are so fortunate to have found Appledorn.

I loved working here, Jason the Executive Director was great treating everyone with kindness and respect and now and then with a witte joke or two lol. He always treated me with respect, I enjoyed going to his office and having a chit chat now and then, getting to know him, a good man, working hard to provide for his family. He was always understanding, patient, kind, and caring, fun to work for a guy like that. Gracie what can I say about that sweet wonderful woman, so nice kind hearted, reminds me of my sweet grandmother. If you were hungry she give you a snack from her snack stash a pop or water always generous. Everytime you see her she greets you with her kindness and smile and always wants to say hi and talk with you. Sherri oh my Sherri more lol Front desk receptionist Sherri is full of spirit fun, laughter, jokes, kindness, a fun personality a fun person to be around. My mother was a resident of Appledorn South for just under a year. She loved the staff and activities. She recently passed away and some of the staff attended the visitation and funeral. I really felt that they went above and beyond by doing that and continue to check in with me to make sure I am doing ok after her loss.

My mother has been a resident at Appledorn Assisted Living South since October of 2022 and we are so pleased with her care. From day 1 the staff worked to secure a room best suited for her needs. The care she receives is done with kindness and respect. The food is good and she has made great friends. We as a family are so grateful for this loving staff and for Appledorn South.

My mom moved in to Appledorn South in August of 2022 reluctantly because of the sterotypes of nursing homes. During the first three days she changed her mind about staying at Appledorn. She enjoys the community and the interaction from the Aides. When I come to visit I can share any needs she has and they are quick to help out and respond. My mom is not always the easiest to get to do things, but the relationship her and I have now is so much better because I can visit her and not feel like I am always just the care taker. I am thankful to Appledorn and the Aides for helping my mom feel at home and supported in her decisions while living there. Rachael

When you walk into the door at Appledorn South you are greeted by the best people who are able to help you with what you need! Sherry welcomes me every time I arrive, and Jason gave a great tour when I was looking for more information and invited me to have lunch that their chef Justin prepared. I watched Laura have a great time at an activity she was hosting and watched as other staff would stop and participate with the residents showing me that although they are busy, they take the time to care for the individual person. Gracie told me about the events they do for neighbors and families as well as people are coming in from the community to be a part of the resident's lives. I know that when I have a medical question they are able to answer it for me and that the residents are well cared for. (They told me when I saw them in the lobby!)

I can't say enough about the quality and care everyone gave my mother in law. They were patient, kind and compassionate. The communication we received from them was amazing. They kept my mother in law very active and she loved it there. The food, activities and most importantly the staff were incredible, Jason, Gracie, Laura , Michelle, Nina just to name a few always went above and beyond.

I've been a resident for 2 years and just love it here. The staff are really nice. I love all the people here. They do a lot of stuff with us. I love outings we go by bus. I'm so happy my son Tommy found this place for me! I give Appledorn South 2 thumbs up

Our Mom was at Appledorn South briefly before her passing. The staff of nurses and assistants treated her with such kindness and respect. The Administrator, Jason and his office staff were so awesome ! One of the nurses even stayed beyond her shift one night just to accommodate our needs and offer support. We have found over the past six months that the entire Appledorn community is the best !!

My Mom was in Appledorn south for a short time before she passed away, but I simply had to write to say that Jason, Gracie, and everyone of the staff were the BEST! My Mom needed extra care the last few days and they all stepped to the plate to not only care and love on her, but us as a family, too. I am SO very grateful for everyone of them. God bless you all! I just put my mom in Assisted Living South and the staff have been amazing. Jason the Administrator was so helpful working with us to place mom from out of state. The nursing, maintenance, dietary, beauty shop, life enrichment have been so helpful helping her adjust. After 2 weeks she has friends she eats with d/t help from the staff and looks forward to going to meals. I am very thankful for the staff at Appledorn South and appreciate all they do. I would highly recommend as we have had a great experience.
