October 2024
Patrick is excellent. Very straightforward forward and professional. This is a well run organization and the residents I met seemed happy. There are a lot of activities available, and the atmosphere was very friendly and relaxing.
October 2024
I was very impressed with Patrick's helpfulness and readiness to provide the needed information. The staff seemed very friendly as well. And the facility itself seems well designed and well maintained.
October 2024
Patrick LeBlanc provided a very thorough tour of the main building and the villas. He arranged for a walk-thru of the 2-bedroom villa we are considering. He answered all our questions. We are seriously thinking this will be our next home.

Patrick was an amazing! He was able to answer all of my questions and gave a comprehensive tour. It was great to see all residents and staff smiling. From what I could tell from my tour, Provision Living provides a very high standard of care.

August 2024
On 8/21/2024 I had a tour with Patrick Leblanc. The other facility and team members seemed kind. I have seen close to 20 properties in order to find my mother a good fit on in all areas: leadership, care team, safety, activities and longer term outlook financially. My main concern is keeping up with cost. As Patrick and I sat down I wanted to know the low end and high end of cost due to the hopes of my Mom would be able to stay in one community in this last chapter. He gave me the figures. As I explained that after a certain period of time there would only be a certain amount left for her care. Being transparent this figure is well below even the basic costs at this Provision location. There seems to be a gray area in elder care when it comes to keeping your loved one at a community when their finances do not cover the communities costs. I was told we would not kick them out. However, they will keep them as long as possible but will help find them a different community assuming they can find someone can afford their current costs. Sadly at the end of the day it's a business. Upon Patrick saying Provision would help locate another community I asked what other communities have they placed others in and it took him a long time to respond. If they help families find other care this question should not stump them. He then asked for my mothers date of birth which I have never been asked at any prior facility and asked him why he needed that information at this time. The threw himself back and stated, "Your as paranoid as your mother!". How could I put my loved one here even if we could afford it with this type of behavior. In conclusion, most elder care facilities in my experience are kind and all smiles if you go along with their plan. If you start asking uncomfortable probing questions that is when you see a different side come out. Lastly, the only guarantee that your loved one will remain in a community is if you can afford it. Regardless if you have it in writing from the facility stating your loved one can stay even after their income drops below the communities costs. The community could be bought out and that amendment could be voided is just one possibility. I hope this helps Provisions, other communities and other family members in their search for answers, better communication and clarity in this difficult journey.

For Assisted Living: This is a beautiful facility with a lovely staff. The building is well placed, with several living rooms, sitting areas and meeting places spread over each floor and accessible from every hallway. It's bustling and busy with people but also serene and calming in the rooms. They try hard to accommodate all the residents and families concerns. My mother went there in February, and since then we've seen a lot of changeover with more competent caregivers added. The management does not accept low standards. The present staff is excellent. Polite, smart, astute at their jobs, good attention to detail. The administrative staff (Wendy, Cory, Kirk, Patrick) are very hands on and available - they know all the residents and interact with them on a daily basis. Mom made some nice friends there. They have residents ranging from Independant to Assisted Living that tend to eat together in the main dining room, with Memory Care in a separate dining area and section. All the residents are friendly. The in-house Fox Physical and Occupational Therapy group was a huge reason why we picked Provision initially and a big bonus (seniors just frequent fall). Fox Therapy was able to take her where she was at and, starting with 10 minutes a day, worked her up to about two hours a day in about two months. She really enjoyed the exercise and the challenge from it. They do have an exercise room with bikes, balls and even a ballet barre for the more Independent residents. They rooms are cleaned once a week, and the laundry is done every time residents are bathed. A bonus for safety measures (in at least the assisted living part), the facility has infrared cameras in the room with floor and bed sensors. Should a fall occur these sensors alert all caregivers in the building instantly. I believe Provision is the only facility in the area with this technology. The administrators can also go back and see on video if someone fell and how it happened. Of the things that needed fixing: weekends seemed to be the worst times there - it was often difficult to find the caregivers (they seemed to be short staffed every weekend - you could be there for hours and never see any staff). On these days we would ring her call button and it would take too long for someone to come - it was not unusual for delay of 20-30 minutes, which I felt was too long and not fair for a senior when needing assistance to go to the bathroom. Also, the food quality could definitely be improved - it's Gordon's Food Service and not a lot of fresh fruit or non-breaded protein, but lots of processed meats in sauces with some type of potato, every day. Lastly, I always complained about the activities - needing more for the wheelchair group, which they recently told me they were attempting to implement. They usually would make changes to any requests or complaints, and I appreciated that effort. In June, after a series of hospital stays, we had to make a decision whether to put her in a hospice facility or return her to the center and have home hospice come in. We opted to return to the center. I believe this was the best choice. The caregiving staff knew her and tried their best to help her in every way. It was sincere and genuine care for her, and we very much appreciated that personal connection. These jobs are so vital but often thankless, lowly paid and difficult. They do it with such grace and politeness, and it enables the seniors to keep their dignity. When my mother passed away there in hospice just a few weeks ago, the caregivers cried along with us. Two of them helped change and dress her after death for the cremation, which couldn't have been an easy thing. I appreciated them so much for that. I wouldn't hesitate to bring another family member here if we needed to. If you are looking for a beautiful facility with quality caregivers and an excellent management team, look no further!

If your work ethic is good and you have a great heart this is an amazing place to work. We reward our good employees often and don't keep employees that don't benefit our residents. We have such a great group of residents and staff and have grown so much in the short time we've been opened.

Our Mom moved in when Provision Living East Lansing opened in 2022. It has been a wonderful experience in so many ways! This facility is well run and staffed with incredibly attentive caregivers. The food has been great and they are even able to accommodate Mom's dietary needs. Also, the rooms have the technology to alert staff if a resident has fallen or even if multiple trips to the bathroom might warrant a check for an UTI. There are nurses on staff as well as a visiting physician and PA. There are many activities and an exercise program as well as a hair salon for residents. It also houses a separate unit inside the same building for memory care patients. All in all, a gorgeous interior and wonderful setting for Mom!!
