This facility is a disgrace. While they claim to be dog friendly, after a friend moved in, they immediately moved to ban dogs from the common area. They then banned residents from consuming food and drink in the common area. Finally, they stopped allowing residents to play games (except for puzzles) in the common area. An absolute disgrace of a facility that purports to care about residents, but clearly only cares about their own bottom line while preventing residents from enjoying what life is left to them.

For the most part it is a safe healthy environment. The residents are nice. The staff is good. The dining hall situation...they make her pay $150 for the Cafe each month, it does not roll over. You don't use it, you lose it. On the upside the food is okay, service is good.

My mom has been very happy at Richfield. She started off in the independent apartments, and gradually moved to the Oaks as the level of care she needed increased. While no nursing home facility is perfect, at Richfield the majority of the staff DO seem to care. And that counts for something.
