We absolutely love the Haven. It is the best memory care facility in which we have had our mother living. She was at previous facility and that was a terrible experience. The staff retention at The Haven is high, and they are all attentive and seem to enjoy their jobs, and really care about the residents. We are very thankful.

My mother was in Allegheny Village for 3 years, including the onset of the Covid pandemic, until her passing late 2021. I can describe the actions of the Memory Care team as truly heroic. They are a wonderful combination of compassion and competency. Heather Seng was my mother's primary day shift caregiver, and she was absolutely outstanding. She was on top of every detail of my mother's care, kept us informed, and welcomed our involvement. My family and I were truly blessed to have our mother in such excellent care.

We considered many options for my 93 year old mother who is physically frail and mentally sharp and The Haven checked all the boxes. Long term, caring staff and administrators are testaments to the supportive environment The Haven provides to its residents as well as employees. And the food is terrific! It's a relief to know mom is surrounded by kind and compassionate caregivers who are so well trained in eldercare. The Haven At North Hills is ran like a family owned business. The staff goes through extensive training year around and it shows day in and day out. The residents always seem to be happy and enjoy all the activities.I would recommend the haven to my family and friends.

My experiences with Heather at haven Has shown that she goes above and beyond it's more than a job she becomes attached To the patients Like they were family! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this facility, I absolutely love it there! I hate to even call it a "facility" because it is so much more. It is a home that we all want our loved ones to someday live in surrounded by staff members that truly care. From management all the way to the cleaning crew, they always have a smile on their face and are there to assist in any way they can. I've been to several ALFs in the area and their secured unit is outstanding, they are so loving and caring and always going out of their way. If you are looking for a place to to send your loved ones please don't hesitate to reach out and schedule a tour!

The Haven, specifically Allegheny Village, treated my mother with care and compassion until her passing in 2021. Heather Seng and staff go above and beyond in the care of their residents. Heather was extremely attentive and compassionate and communicated with me regularly while my mother was a resident. In order to get the best care for my mother, I toured several facilities. However, as soon as I walked into the Haven, I knew this was the facility for her. Having to make the decision of placing a loved one in a facility is gut wrenching, but I will forever be grateful to the staff for the dignity, care, and compassion provided to my mother. The work is difficult, but Heather loves what she does and treats the residents as if they were her own loved one.

Heather , Megan and all the memory care staff are absolutely amazing! My grandmother was a resident in the memory care unit. It wasn't easy to see grandma have to go to a memory care unit But the staff welcomed me and made it so much easier from my first visit to see grandma. I was unsure how my girls would feel if great grandma might now know them when we went to visit Heather and the staff made each and every visit feel like everybody was just one big family and made it amazing! The treatment they give each resident is above and beyond!! I could just keep going on about The Haven and staff! They do some really fun and entertaining activities for the residence on a daily basis and anytime you go they all seem to be super happy! I would highly recommend for your loved ones! Even though my grandmother passed away. ( and very happily I'm sure because she loved it there ) My girls feel so welcome the want to continue visiting and volunteering with the staff and residents! Thank you again for taking amazing care of grandma!

My MIL needed a new level of care and Michelle was willing to work with us on a tight schedule. My MIL was there for 10 months. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. There were bumps along the way, but when I asked questions, I got answers. Towards the end of her life, staff really stepped up to help her meals, comfort and and all other needs. I would highly recommend this facility.

If anyone is looking for a facility to place a loved one, my family and I highly recommend The Haven. The care given to our mother was wonderful. She was in the dementia unit. The staff was very caring and concerned about not only my mom's well being but ours as well. The food was delicious, the place was clean and it never had an odor. When we called they always gave us a run down of her day and her night. All the staff was kind and very positive. We want to give a special shout out to Amy at the front door, Rick the maintenance man and mom's special nurse Heather. We thank you all.

The staff at the Haven have been fully dedicated and devoted to the care of the residents during the time of this evil virus. They are to be commended for their work and efforts. My mother moved there 2+ years ago and the quality of her care was significantly improved by the staff. Environment is clean, staff are friendly, care is EXCELLENT!

I have only positive things to say about The Haven. The staff is wonderful. Always available if I have any questions or concerns. They are so nice to my mom and if there is ever any concerns they will contact me. You can tell that they truly care about the residents. Also, the rooms are a nice size. My mom is a more private person so if she doesn't feel like socializing she'll just keep her door closed. But I know that someone will always check on her throughout the day. Usually to make her smile or give her a laugh for the day. Anytime I hear of someone starting to consider a place for a relative, I always tell them to check The Haven.

One of the better facilities you will find at that level of care and price. The majority of the staff is capable and conscientious. They do an above average job at meeting the staffing challenges that all these kinds of places face. Food it above average and the facility itself is pretty nice. with places to walk, sit, play, o There is a limited-access "memory care" unit that fills most needs in that area. Generally clean, periodic cleaning (like behind furniture) is one area that could use a bit of improvement. If you're looking for a Personal Care Home in the North Hills, you owe it to yourself to give this place a serious look.
