My husband's mother was a resident at Sunny Hills for 8 years, until her passing last week at 99 years old. We can truly say that Sunny Hills was the reason she almost made it to a century of life-the care was superb. Sunny Hills staff, led by Ann Richards, are warm, loving, extremely competent and they truly treat the residents as if they are their own treasured family. Mom suffered from dementia and the dignity and respect with which she was treated was a source of great comfort to us. Aside from the caring staff,Sunny Hills is amazingly clean and well kept, with a full range of services and support. The holiday gatherings we spent there were festive, and during COVID their protocols for keeping residents safe were thorough. If you are searching for a place that will take the best care of your loved one, look no further than Sunny Hills!

My mother moved into Sunny Hills Assisted Living Facility, Homestead, a few months ago and she's been all smiles since then. When you come for a visit and speak to the residents they have great things to say about this place. The facility is full of love and light. My mother-in-law was diagnosed with dementia and could no longer live safely by herself. We tried to care for her at our house but found working full time jobs and watching over her to be overwhelming. One time, she decided to go walking and got lost in the neighborhood. Thankfully we found her but what a scare. The staff care about their residents and there are weekly activities that they can do such as arts & crafts, listening to piano music during "Happy Hour" (no alcohol involved, just a fun time). One staff member told me that mom was dancing slowly to one of the songs and enjoying her snacks. Mom even made friends with 2 ladies within the first few months! That's when we knew she had adjusted to the changes and was settling in. No matter what time or day we visited, the facility was clean and the residents treated with respect and dignity. This is a very special place and I am glad the Director in charge Ann is making this facility a kind and caring place to call home.

I am lucky to belong to the Sunny Hill family for already three years, and I'm grateful for the attention, care, and concern they have for all residents without distinction. The cleanliness and organization of the center say a lot about its workers. The TEAM is attentive to each health situation or need residents may have. I have had the opportunity to be with them in some critical moments, and I am a witness to the effort and affection with which they prepare and carry out cultural events, in addition to other activities and crafts that help keep the mind and body in constant movement. I don't want to mention names because I want to forget any of them, everyone has a vital role in the center, and they fulfill it with a lot of love. Since the beginning of the pandemic, they have become the great heroes of these times, and I want to recognize them.

After seeing many ALFs, we decided to go with Sunny Hills. The facility is clean and the staff is warm and caring. Anne, the Director goes above and beyond in overseeing the facility. Bertha truly loves and cares about the residents. My grandfather is in an adjustment period, but the staff encourages him to do the activities and eat the meals in the dining room. He is happy in his spacious room that we were able to decorate and make it a home. Overall, our family could not be happier. We are so grateful for Sunny Hills.

My grandmother has been at Sunnyhills for a few years now and I couldn't be happier with her care. She is in the memory care unit and recently broke her hip. Ann and the whole team went above and beyond to ensure she was taken care of and accommodations were made. Ann treats everyone like family.

My 98 year old mom has been at Sunny Hills for almost 5 years. I strongly believe the reason she is still alive and doing so well is because of the excellent service she has received at Sunny Hills. A few years ago she fractured the bones in her leg, had to have surgery, and rehab. I thought it was the end for her! She didn't do well at the rehab facility; she refused to eat or do her therapy, and was giving up her will to live. As soon as I was able to get her back into Sunny Hills, she thrived and starting eating again. There is just something about the manager Ann and her wonderful staff. They make mom feel that is her home and I always know she is well taken care of. During Covid, not one patient was lost. I can't say enough good things about Sunny Hills. My mom will live her last days there, will be well taken care of, and happy. I very highly recommend this facility and feel extremely lucky to have found it for my mom.

My grandma has been here for almost 4 years. Best care ever!!!! I'm a nurse and I know what proper care looks like!!! My grandma has always gotten amazing care and the staff loves their jobs and they stay for years. They know my name and I know theirs. The residents always have activities such as music, dancing, bingo, chair yoga, etc. My Grandma LOVES the hair salon. The head nurse/ administrator, Ann, is caring, knowledgeable, and amazing!!!! She has helped me with so many medical issues, rehab, and even evacuating my grandma during Irma.

I can't express enough my gratitude to the wonderful stuff at Sunny Hills. My husband brother resides there for over 8 years. We have great communication with the nurses and above all with Ms Ann Richards,who in my opinion is the best director this facility could have. She is always available and goes out of her way to help and reassure us especially now during this very difficult times. The administrator of Sunny Hills, Ann Richards and her staff took excellent care of my mother for the time she lived there. While my mother was on hospice care and lay dying, Ann came in and spoke to her and sang hymns with me and gave me such a sense of peace. She loves each and every resident and cares for them individually. I highly recommend Sunny Hills, ALF for anyone that needs help caring for aging parents. Finding the right ALF to care for one's parent(s) can be a scary and daunting task. Just give Sunny Hills a try! You will have open access to your loved one and be assured loving care. God bless Ann and her staff at Sunny Hills. Mabel especially, my mom was quite fond of and held onto dearly. We love you, always!
