When my elderly friend was hospitalized for nearly a month and needed to transition back home, Right at Home Greater Vancouver was exactly the steady, caring presence we needed. From the very beginning, they went above and beyond, visiting her in person at the hospital and liaising directly with the nursing and administrative staff to make sure the transition home went smoothly. They arranged dedicated caregivers who not only monitored her recovery also helped with assigned exercises. They genuinely connected with her, chatting, running errands, doing shopping, and making her feel cared for as a person, not just a patient. Her recovery has been remarkable, something both her doctor and physiotherapist have commented on, and I truly believe her confidence in the people around her played a big part in that. A heartfelt thank you to Bill Sohn and the entire team, and especially to the caregivers who stayed dedicated to Shirley's well-being every step of the way. During a moment of family and friend medical crisis, their calm professionalism and genuine warmth made an enormous difference. I recommend them without hesitation to anyone navigating a difficult transition for a loved one.

A very young friend recently had to go through Chemotherapy for a breast cancer diagnoses. There was no one available to help with her home care and also for Cold Capping which is what cancer patients can use to stop hair loss. Cold capping takes place on the day of Chemotherapy and is very demanding, requiring patience and skill and lasts for 7 hours. I could not find ANYONE, family nor professional nursing care, who was available to help. Cancer can be extremely overwhelming, both for the patient and for loved ones. 48 hours before my friend's first chemotherapy treatment no one was available to help. The stress was not allowing me to sleep or function properly. And then, a direct answer to prayers came. Paige Farquharson with RIGHT AT HOME called me. She told me not to worry about anything. She promised to be by our side for the entire process and take care of my friend's home care, and also the full day at the hospital during Chemotherapy treatment. Paige and Hamideh, another Right at Home nurse, met us at the hospital and took on every task and responsibility. The professionalism, skill, compassion and care they demonstrated was unlike anything I had ever experienced before. Paige even visited my friend and called her on her own time to assist in any way that she needed. Who does this? Who is as selfless and caring and giving like this? Paige. Hamideh, and Right at Home was a direct answer to our prayers. She is a true blessing. My friend's next round of Chemotherapy is coming soon and Paige and Right at Home will be with us again to help in any way possible. Thank you

I would highly recommend Right at Home Vancouver. After calling a number of agencies I found Right at Home flexible and most willing to work with me. When I first started using them it was more to make sure my husband had someone with him when I was out. My schedule changed almost daily and yet they were more than willing and able to accommodate these changes. If a care worker was scheduled to work 4 -5 hours and I wanted them to stay longer they always agreed. They also not only gave my husband amazing attention, they looked for chores to do around the house they wanted to help any way they could. As my husband (who was dealing with cancer) needs changed and we required 24 hour care, Right at Home made it happen. They figured a way to have the same 4 care workers assigned to us. These care workers were AMAZING they were so kind, compassionate and caring it was amazing. Both myself and my husband felt 100% comfortable with them and they felt like family. They were very skilled, knowledgeable and on top of every need my husband had, nothing was ever a chore for them... they helped him with his daily personal care, administered his med, made him what ever he wanted to eat and most of all gave him as many "spa treatments as he wanted". We had many visitors and they were kind to anyone that enter our home. Everyone loved them. Near the end he was in the hospital a lot and they would come to be with us in the hospital, whatever we needed where ever we needed the help Right at Home made it happen. And there was always someone available 24/7 to discuss any concerns or scheduling needs. Bill, the owner was also amazing to deal with. I used Right at Home when I went for surgery in Vancouver. I was put in contact with them by the co-ordinator at False Creek. From the moment she reached out to them, it was nothing but efficient. I let them know what I needed by email and then we touched base by phone. They made sure I was taken care of to the upteenth degree. They knew more about what I would need than I did. After speaking with Bill and letting him know my capabilities and needs, he set me up with two ladies who looked after me round the clock for two days. They co-ordinated with the surgical facility so I had to do nothing but show up on time for surgery and then put myself in the care of others. The two ladies were fantastic. From Rita who took charge of me post-surgery and at night to Nola who did dayshift and made sure I got to the airlines care, everything was so smooth. Both ladies were so in tune with what I needed when I needed it, I can't say enough good things about them. From the care aspect to their personalities, absolutely top notch. If you have to give yourself over to the care of complete strangers at one of the lowest and most incapacitated times of your life, these are the folks to call.

After taking care of my late husband for so many years and I feel that I need help for both mentally and physically, I reached out to look for help, I found Right at Home and asking for help. Right at Home sent caregiver over stay with my late husband which allowed me to go out for a few hours to do my own thing. It was a huge relief for me. After suffering an accident in early August, I contacted Right at home to provide some assistance as I could not use my right arm. The three attendants that had over the space of a number of weeks were magnificent. They helped me with a number of things, including bathing, washing my hair, laundry, making lunch, cleaning up after myself, and so on. They were always very professional and very personable, as well as being very efficient. Thank you very much, Bill for your attention, for your service, and for your excellent staff. Dania Home in Burnaby was not our 1st choice, but the Lord's choice for mom. Mom was very sick and needs 24/7 care which my younger sister can't provide anymore. During the process of selection, I saw Dania's website and I told my sisters to check it out. After long prayers, Dania Home became an interim bed for mom. While she was there, we immediately realize that this is the home for mom because mom enjoyed the place so much. She loved the activities which she termed "day care", her "spa", her outings and most specially her caregivers who gave her their best care. I highly recommend Right at Home. After trying competitors including the largest in Vancouver I found RAH to be the best because they are able to adapt to every curve ball that comes their way. I first used them when my mother sadly was stricken with cancer and Helen and her staff helped take care of her until she was moved to hospice. Now my father has health issues including dementia and Catherine and Bill have been amazing. The important thing is that every case is different and they adapt to the very specific needs of our case, and can be approached with any and all concerns I have. The caregivers provide full care and much needed social interaction.

Right at Home provided home care for over 4 years to an 80 yr old suffering from Parkinsons. During the steady decline of his health, Right at Home was there with top knotch in-home care. They ensured he was safe, healthy, fed and bathed, never alone and even accompanied him to health care appointments and emergency room trips (even staying on site after I had arrived to assist however they could). In home care planning was completed at the start of his care, updated as needs changed, and well documented in the home where I could view it at my convenience. I used Right at Home for most of 2022 to provide care aides for my husband who was 85 with severe dementia. I was impressed with their company from the first time I called. They returned my call the next day and we set up an appointment for their Client Services Director to come to our home to meet my husband and me. We then set up a schedule that worked for my husband and me. Right at Home's aides are kind and compassionate. They genuinely care about the client. I found Bill, the owner of this branch, to be sincere, empathetic, and fair. He values his employees as well as his clients. If an issue arose, he dealt with it quickly and efficiently. There were many times when something would come up and I would need a care aide for an unscheduled event/appointment. I would call Right at Home in the hope they might be able to find an appropriate aide without much notice. I was amazed that the vast majority of the time they came through! If you are looking for personal or companion care aides, I would recommend you start by calling Right at Home. You'll be impressed!

I was pretty stressed out trying to find 24/7 care for my father. The minute I contacted Right at Home and started speaking to Helen.my mind was put at ease. I felt so comfortable talking to her that I started to relax. She put together a team of dedicated caregivers and my Father received excellent around the clock service. I hired Right at Home Vancouver for my business during COVID19 to have them complete a health check and temperature scan for my employees each morning prior to commencing work. The personalized care and attention they provided was fantastic, Isabel was our care worker. She was so kind and polite, caring for our team, took the time to get to know the staff and always made light of a dark situation. On the admin side, Bill was a joy to deal with. Clients have told me they feel secure in knowing Helen is there for them. She is very skilled and well-informed while working on their behalf. I couldn't agree more. With all the secondary healthcare specialists often involved with seniors health care, such as physio therapists, mental health specialists, cancer clinics, memory care, social workers, transportation services, medical equipment suppliers to name a few it's necessary to have someone who knows how the systems work and who is supposed to do what. Bill and his team did an excellent job of providing the care my dad needed from the time my dad moved in with our family until he no longer needed in-home care. I work out of the home three days per week, and we had a Right at Home caregiver on those three days (two caregivers for three days, because it worked out well for us that way). After some initial hiccups finding the right fit of caregiver, we enjoyed over a year of uninterrupted, reliable, caring service. I found Bill responsive to whatever needs or feedback I had; for example, he went out of his way to accommodate extra days or evenings when my work schedule required them. The care aides we settled with (one for about 14 months, the other about 7 months) were both lovely women whom my dad and I trusted 100 percent to care well for Dad and to reliably do the light housekeeping tasks I requested. All in all I would highly recommend Right at Home, particularly Bill and his team.

Our Mother had a stroke and an emergency call to Right At Home had an evaluation within a few hours and a care worker present by 7AM the following morning and every day thereafter until we could place her in a proper facility. The workers were thoughtful, experienced and gentle. They knew what to do in every situation and they gave us the time and peace of mind to concentrate on finding a good place for Mom.
