My experience with Wickshire Madison has been very positive. My father passed away late last year, but my mom still lives there. He always told me how great all the care givers were. Every request made for him was fulfilled, even though there were times they were short staffed. Last year, things got better when they hired a new Director, Marilyn. As there are staffing issues everywhere you go these days, Marilyn made it a priority to work closely with staff and worked endless hours to assure residents were provided for and her staff was supported. I have seen her passing meds, cleaning, serving meals, answering phones, and most important to me, responded to assist my dad whenever needed. Towards the end of his life, she supported my mom and I as well. I would like to also recognize 3 beautiful, caring, and compassionate ladies. Barbara is a CNA that works endless hours to assure all residents get their meds. She also assists staff whenever there is a need. Dorothea also works many hours planning and preparing meals for all of the residents. She always makes a point to pop in and talk wirh me when I am visiting my mom (I am here a minimum of 3 days a week). Last, Dorothy also passes meds, assists residents, and does whatever is needed to get the job done. There are many other angels working at Wickshire. I am happy my mom has a place at Wickshire and confident I made the right decision placing both my parents here. Thank You!!!

Wickshire is the best Assisted living facility in Madison. . Wickshire is exemplary model for assisted living care, retirement place and food service. Regardless of their position, each associate staff member truly cares for the resident - as though they were family - and staff treats all residents with respect and Dignity. The Executive Director is very knowledgeable, she is sensible and a friendly motivator. She knows when to push the residents and when to ease up. She is always available to support residents, families and staffs. The director of wise and wellness has a lot of activities( massage, manicure, hair salon, Bingo, scrabble, baking, Music, exercises, Movies time...) to entertain the resident, every day is different. The meals are exceptionally good, that is, flavorful, well prepared, and delivered hot. Resident is offered a variety of choices for each meal and you cannot go wrong, the dynamic of the dining between Breakfast, lunch or dinner is wonderful. The environmental, maintenance and housekeeping director takes the time every day to make sure that Resident rooms are clean. Overall, the staff and management are wonderful, supportive and caring towards the families and residents. I Would highly recommend!

My mom moved in December. The staff and residents are wonderful. They are always checking on her. My mom enjoys the activities and the food is great! It is clean and always decorated for the holidays. It feels like home!

In a day and age when good staffing is hard to find, it's refreshing to see an ED who is not afraid to get her hands dirty. No job is beneath her, whether it be touring prospective residents, passing medications, serving in the dining room, giving a shower, doing laundry or cleaning toilets, I hope Wickshire Senior Living knows what a gem they have in Marilyn!
