My mom and dad love the place! Since the new owners took over, things have been great! Activities every day: movies, crafts, bingo, karaoke, etc. The rooms and facility are clean and well maintained. A private chef cooks for the residents aa they sit by the dining table set up as a big family! The PCAs are so kind and patient. Ma’Changa and Krystle are great as directors taking care of everything! It is a place to call home!

I have come to find out that Healthcare facilities in general are a huge headache to deal with on the unknown. The hidden costs, multiple assessments, sanitation, nickel and diming you are issues that you must deal on a daily basis which are a real hassle and challenge. I came across Clover Hill in North Haldon, New Jersey in my outings looking for a place to care for my ailing mother and I have to say that their facility did not disappoint on our first interview. I'm in class A NYC real estate and I know when a facility is well maintained and cared for and I have to say Clover Hill does not disappoint. The manor is top notch in their operations and management, no less to speak on how well they treat my mother. They are a family unit and care for their residents like you would care for yours. Their amenity's, food, direct care accesses and weekly updating loved one’s wellbeing is well beyond my expectation. If you’re looking for a smaller facility that will treat your parents with the respect and dignity that you would expect then this is the place for them. You will not go wrong.

Clover Hill is really a unique place. Choosing senior living for a loved one is a difficult decision, and finding the right place makes it even harder. From the moment you walk into Clover Hill, you know you're somewhere special. The staff truly takes pride in what they do - they're patient, kind, and attentive, making residents feel respected and at home. The building is clean, cozy, and well-kept; it feels more like a beautiful home than a facility. I have total peace of mind knowing my dad is in good hands here, and the staff walked me through the entire process, which would've been daunting without their help. Most importantly, my dad is thrilled to be here; he was making friends on day one. We couldn't be happier.

This is a truly wonderful place—far better than any other facility where I’ve had loved ones stay. My last living aunt has been a resident here for four years, and it’s exactly the kind of environment I would want for myself. If you’re looking for more personal attention in a quieter setting where residents are genuinely cared for, this is it. I’ve been through the assisted living process with my grandparents and father, and later my mother stayed in a large, beautiful facility—but it felt impersonal due to its size. Here, the experience is completely different. The director, Ma’Changa, is exceptional—not only with the residents but also in keeping families informed, which means a lot since we live several states away. The staff is equally wonderful. We’ve especially come to know Krystle and Dorrene, and Mark, the chef, who all contribute to making this place feel like home. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking compassionate, attentive care for their loved one.

A hidden gem among senior living facilities in Bergen County is Clover Hill in North Haledon, NJ. My mom lived there until her death at 100 years old. Until then, she was surrounded by the most caring, loving, attentive individuals I have ever known. Ma’Changa, Doreen, Mark, Vicky, Krystal, Judith, and George attended to her every need. I was always welcomed when visiting to the extent that I now feel they are my second family. The residents, some only with physical needs, are also warm, friendly and extremely sensitive to all that live there. If you are looking for a quiet, caring facility for your loved one, look no further!!! Karen

My sister and I moved our mother into Clover Hill in August 2022. Clover Hill is the perfect fit for her. She has her own room with a private bathroom. We were able to move her favorite rocking chair, loveseat sofa, as well as her full-size bed into her room to make it feel more like home. The common areas at Clover Hill have a charming homey atmosphere. For every meal, residents gather at a long table and eat together. We receive consistent updates via email and prompt responses to text messages and phone calls. We have no doubt that Clover Hill is a much better fit for Mom compared to the assisted living she lived in prior, which had a more corporation/business-like feel. Ma‘Changa joined the team as the new House Manager in July 2023 and we have had the pleasure of getting to know and work with her over the years. Ma’Changa goes above and beyond to ensure all of the residents at Clover Hill get the care, love, and respect they deserve. She builds strong relationships with the residents, and her compassion shows through with every interaction that I have had with her. My mother is a particular, strong, and stubborn individual, and it takes her a while to warm up to people and vice versa. However, Mom listens to Ma’Changa and enjoys her company. Clover Hill is a special place where you can trust that your loved one will receive quality care and be in the best hands possible. Ma’Changa’s leadership fosters a positive and productive living environment of mutual respect and support. My sister and I have spent a lot of time visiting the home to see Mom. We have gotten to know Dorrene, Crystal, George, Ruby, Mark, Judith, MaryAnne, and Vicky. They are all professional and phenomenal. During the times we cannot be with our mother, we take comfort in knowing there are people who know and care about her. I highly recommend Clover Hill. Words cannot describe how thankful we are to Ma’Changa and the staff for the care they give Mom.

I don't write too many reviews but I really thought this facility deserved it! Putting you mom in an assisted living home is a very hard choice but my mom just could not live alone after my dad passed. I looked at many places but between the high cost and what was offered it was a tough balance, or so I thought. Clover Hill is a small home with only 13 residents. The good thing about it being so small is the residents have more attention placed on them and their needs are met quicker than the larger places. It is not the cheapest but certainly not the most expensive and you really get your money's worth here! It is essentially a big mansion with a sitting room with a fireplace and large screen TV, an outside porch area, an organic garden, a theater with leather seats, beautiful and spacious common areas, arts & crafts area with larger than many resident rooms to decorate any way you wish. The place itself is immaculate in cleanliness! The chef Mark is a graduate of the Culinary institute and the food and presentation are on level with some of the finest restaurants. You will find meals such as salmon steak, pasta with home made sauces, desserts like lemon meringue pie to name a few items. In fact when I left last night it was a special celebration including non-alcohol champagne with berries and a beautiful steak and lobster. I want to live here!!!! The staff is second to none and genuinely care about the residents and it shows. It is a tight family style atmosphere where everyone knows one another. Machanga is the director of operations and her door and phone are always open even late at night. Recently my mom had a sickness which caused her a hospital stay. Not only did she pay every attention to detail but actually went to the hospital with my mom. Who does that? Many places would say that's not my problem but she went with her and stayed until I arrived and communicated with me through the wee hours of the night, morning and continued throughout my mom's hospital stay. What an asset to this facility! That in itself is enough but it does not stop there. Doreen, Elva, Dawn and Crystal are always making sure my mom has whatever she needs which at times can be a lot. They really treat my mom like a person and with respect. This staff is really the best at what they do and I have seen many so I don't say this lightly! This place really is the cream of the crop!! If you are researching places for your loved ones and have never been to a facility before I would suggest you go to other places first so you can see just what you get for your dollar. Look at the upkeep, talk to the staff and even the residents. Then go to Clover Hill. I think you will be pleasantly surprised by what you find and that will make your decision much easier. You will sleep better at night knowing that your family member is in good hands! Great job and thank you to the entire Clover Hill staff!

My mother-in-law was a resident of Clover Hill for a short time but we always felt that she was safe and well cared for. Staff is caring and willing to go the extra mile for each client due in part to the smaller setting. Lots of socialization for those that wish to engage and communication between staff and family is ongoing. I would recommend Clover Hill.

I love size of Clover Hill Senior Living, because it is not overwhelming. My loved one loves the garden. The food is good, with no complaints on that aspect. The staff takes care of things that needs to be done within a minute or two. The community has a very warm atmosphere that is very inviting. My loved one fell in her room and the staff responded very well and gave her the emergency care that she needed, immediately. The staff maintained communication with me, while my loved one was in the hospital after the fall, almost like an extended family. My mom considers the community her home being surrounded by friends and family.

I am very happy with the care and attention that my mother gets at Clover Hill. She loves the meals expertly prepared by the chef. I always ask her what she had to eat since its always something different! I can get in touch with the administrator, Maryann , at any time when I have a question or concern. You can see that a lot of care went into putting this home together. They even have their own organic garden. I feel like my mother is safe here and I like it since its a small, close knit community.

Our family is extremely happy to have found this home. Located in a neighborhood where our Mom lived, it is extremely clean, staff is wonderful! While Mom has simple tastes, their executive chef goes out of his way to make her meals. Maryanne the Executive Director, is always available (24/7) to address any concerns. We highly recommend Clover Hill. The care is personal!
