My mother was one of the first residents at Charter (when it was The Linden). In the nearly 4 years since she has been there, we’ve had some wonderful and very positive experiences, and some less-than-positive experiences, mostly around the time of the transition. I am very pleased to report, however, that the growing pains were worth it. Mom’s care is where it should be after a rough spot. The care staff has been wonderful, kind, caring and attentive. Administration listened to my concerns and acted on them. If this can be sustained, and I am confident that it will be, I’ll be amending my rating to 5 stars soon!

My brother and I recently moved our 91-year-old Mom into Charter Senior Living of Brookfield, and I can’t say enough about how smoothly the transition went. This was a big change that she dreaded after she had been living in her home for all of her life, but the kindness and care shown by everyone we met made the experience so much easier for her and for our family. From the very beginning, we felt welcomed and supported. While it was a positive experience from everyone we met, I want to express a special thank you to the following members of the Charter team for going above and beyond to help us work out logistics of moving in, as well as helping Mom settle in and feel comfortable. Their thoughtfulness and patience made all the difference! To Jillian and Darlene - you helped make my initial exploratory call (from long distance!) and paperwork process flow seamlessly! Sunshine - your nurse assessment visit with Mom and my brother left them feeling good about the decision to choose Charter for Mom’s move. Jacob - thank you for your help to my brother with logistics regarding moving in furniture and getting things ready for day one. Romero - what can I say?! You greeted Mom with open arms Day One and your kindness hasn’t stopped! Keith - you made us feel so welcome in the Dining Room, and thank you for finding the coffee ice cream (IYKYK). Sandy - you win the award for getting Mom to attend her first activity and eating in the dining room on her own for the first time, I’m still not sure how you did it but she’s been eating her meals there ever since! We are so grateful for the warm environment and the wonderful staff who clearly care about the residents. Knowing Mom is in such good hands gives us tremendous peace of mind.

I can't say enough about the amazing experience I've had with Charter Senior Living Brookfield. My mom was making a big move from her 55+ community in New Jersey, and the transition felt daunting. From the very first visit, the team at Charter made us feel completely at ease. Emily, in particular, was an absolute godsend. She went above and beyond to help me navigate the entire process, answering my endless questions with patience and providing incredible advice that made the move so much smoother. The staff and amenities here are fantastic, and the community is so welcoming. My mom has been living at Charter for three months now, and she's never been happier. She's much more active, both physically and mentally, and the stress of her previous living situation has significantly lessened. Plus, having her closer to me and local doctors and medical facilities has made things so much more convenient. She's made so many new friends and truly loves her new apartment. It's been a wonderful change for our whole family.

We researched assisted living communities for my Mom a few months ago. After visiting Charter, we knew it was the place for her. Emily Chiarelli was wonderful!!! She was personable, thorough, responsive and truly guided and supported us every step of the way. And, she has continued to be available for any questions or concerns that we have had no matter what time of day. Her knowledge of the industry and Charter specifically is wide and deep. Additionally, all of the staff that we have met from the front desk , maintenance , the dining area and the nurse’s area are very friendly and helpful; not to mention that the facility itself is beautiful. Everyone is very cheerful and helpful anyone who walks to the building. The informational sessions does benefit the community. I am very thankful for giving me an opportunity to know what’s available to seniors. It also gives me a recreational commitment to look forward to monthly and socialize.

We have had the most wonderful experience with Charter. When our Dad moved in, everyone from Jillian in sales, to Emrin and Kimmie at the desk, to Carol in nursing, Keyshawn in maintenance, and Romero on staff have gone above and beyond in making our Dad feel welcomed, safe, and at home. I love visiting Dad at meal time, where it is obvious the staff knows my dad and not only takes his order, but engages is small talk and banter that keeps him smiling! The new chef is a fan favorite, our Dad loves him and we look forward to getting to know the newer staff members the same way we knew people when Dad first moved in. We are so grateful for Dad to have somewhere as wonderful as this to call home!

Absolutely lovely environment with a fabulous staff full of truly caring and enthusiastic staff with an eye for detail and truly hospitable and HAPPY disposition. We met with Emily and also with Jillian on more than one occasion and were introduced to many other friendly and caring employees who showed they were there for more than just 'doing their job'. You can tell they love helping with the needs of the residents and they truly make sure they take every approach to ensuring each individual resident has the components they require around them to make their living environment a dream come true! It's refreshing to be able to have a place to call home that allows for such diverse residents with a variety of care needs, but who all feel so at home and happy under one (quite impressive) roof! 🙂 We are delighted to have found this place through A Place For Mom, who actually introduced us to the directors and staff at Charter.

I was looking for a nice living complex for my mother who is retired and in need of extra care when I came across Brookfield’s Charter Senior Living. I met with Marionna and was impressed by her immense knowledge of the facility and staff. She was patient, kind and answered all of my questions ( and there were several). I would definitely recommend meeting with her to learn more about what they offer.

From the executive director Clarixy, to the health and wellness director Lisa, and even the sales team Jillian and Marionna. I recently toured Charter of Brookfield in CT with my aunt, and we were thoroughly impressed. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and at ease. The Executive Director, Clarixy Batista, was exceptional. She was incredibly informative, taking the time to answer all our questions and provide detailed insights into the community's offerings. Her courteous and welcoming demeanor made the entire experience enjoyable. The facility itself was clean, well-maintained, and had a warm, inviting atmosphere. It’s clear that the staff genuinely cares about the residents, and that’s exactly what we were looking for. I highly recommend Charter in Brookfield to anyone whose looking for a safe, caring, and friendly environment for their loved ones.

Upon approaching Charter, you immediately notice all the outdoor seating for use during rain or sunshine. Then you walk into this beautiful community. Kimberly in reception is always friendly & cheerful. The building is large but not in an overwhelming way. Everyone raves about the food. Having played pool here, you notice all the occupied game table tables in this vibrant community. The true gem tucked in this building is the staff! Clarixy, Jillian, Marionna, & Lisa are a dedicated, high functioning team!

My mother is a newer resident in Opal the memory care facility there. She loves it after moving from her home after over 50 years. She has had some issues adjusting, but after about 5 months at the facility, she says she absolutely loves it there. The staff is extremely kind and helpful. Friendly and outgoing atmosphere every time I visit. They do a fantastic job

My Mom, although initially resistant to moving out of her private home, is happy to be living at The Linden at Brookfield. The facility is gorgeous, the food is delicious and varied, and the staffthere are not enough words to describe the kindness and genuine care each and every person who works there has for the residents. I know my Mom is safe and in caring and capable hands. There is always something fun for her to do if she chooses. This is a wonderful place for Mom!
