I’ve been teaching chair yoga here for almost a year now and I absolutely love it. The residents are always so happy to see me and we have so much fun during our classes. Lots of smiles, laughs and good energy. I also love seeing how many activities they have going on. There always seems to be something happening and something for the residents to look forward to, which is so important. The staff and owners are wonderful and you can tell they really care about keeping everyone active, social and involved. Such a great community and I’m very grateful to be a small part of it.

Hi, my name is Danny. I’ve been living at Chateau Glengarry for the past four years. The staff and the people here are very respectful ” it’s truly a good place to stay. The medication and care team measure our vitals and provide services in an attentive, professional manner, so our health is consistently monitored and supported. The meals are really good, and I enjoy them every day. We also have activities five or six times a week, and I go to the activities room almost daily. In the afternoons, there’s bingo, Bouncing, yoga, and other exercise and games, and on weekends a group of us usually play cards. It keeps life fun, social, and engaging. I would rate it a five star retirement home at an affordable cost for seniors.

My mother and sister have lived at the Chateau Glengarry since the fall of 2019. I have always been impressed by the respect, caring and concern of each staff member toward them. My parents have been at Chateau Glengarry for over a year now and love the staff and facilities where they receive great care and have access to fun activities plus local community. Alexandria is a great little town and not too far from large cities like Ottawa, Cornwall and Montreal. They also have great outdoor concerts around the corner in the summertime.

My mother, Ruth spent several winters at Chateau Glengarry. When health issues meant that she needed to move to a retirement home, it was an easy decision to move to the Chateau Glengarry fulltime. Mom stayed almost 3 years, was very happy here, and considered this her home. Mom had company at mealtimes, looked forward to Bingo days and was well-looked after by staff. Mom knew all the staff by name and enjoyed interacting with them. Mom would have stayed here longer but she needed to move to Long-term care.

My wife and I have lived at Chateau Glengarry for a year now. We find the amenities, the food and the programs to be exactly what we need. I am a regular resident. My wife has Assisted Living services. What I find most outstanding is the warm and caring attitude of the staff. They go far beyond regular services to be helpful and make us feel like we are at home in a family setting. For this reason, we strongly recommend anyone to take up residence here. Helen was like a godmother to me. I'd known her since I was 15. When her health started acting up, she ended up choosing Chateau Glengarry as her home. I'd go visit her there a lot”she didn't have to worry about cooking, cleaning, laundry, or meds, since everything was taken care of. And the best part? Helen always said the food was just perfect for seniors. Also the team was helpful during her stay 2 thumps up!
