I'd steer far away from this home care agency. They cared for my elderly aunt last year and the incidents that took place under their care were horrific. For example, one time they claimed to have a staffing issue and were not able to provide continuous care. The overnight shift caregiver purposely left the front door unlocked with a wheelchair bound elderly person alone in the house for 3 hours just so the next caregiver could get in. We're in the San Francisco Bay Area. With all the crimes that have taken place in the last few years, they thought it was a good idea to leave a disabled elderly person in the house with the front door unlocked. Another incident involves another caregiver not helping my aunt up when she fell onto the floor. It's been a few months since we stopped using Honor but the entire family is still traumatized by what they did. We're now having to seek legal action against them.

When my brother called to tell me that he fell in his bldg and was being rushed to the hospital, I dropped everything immediately to fly to San Francisco from TX. Without a clear plan to know what I needed to do to attend to his needs or know how long he would need me to help, it was a bit overwhelming. After speaking to his doctors, it was quickly determined that he would need daily care and for several months. Since I couldn’t stay in SF non stop for that length of time due to pressing needs of my own company, I began a search on the internet for custodial care, and interviewed dozens of companies. I had to weed through hundreds of fake google reviews taking days and settled upon Honor to feel comfortable enough to step away between my visits. There were several factors important to me besides just having a warm body sitting on his sofa to keep him company. After chatting with Randy Allen, coupled with his follow up to check on his progress even while he was still in the hospital, I knew I settled on the right company- he truly exhibited a genuine level of care.. Randy understood my standards for excellence and brought Lawrence Snow into the mix to meet me as well to confirm their attention to detail. I was immediately impressed with both of them on their initial walk through. Unfortunately, the hospital discharge did not go exactly as planned, getting delayed hours before my brother’s wheelchair and other medical devices were delivered, but Randy offered to make a significant drive late one evening to help transport my brother home from the hospital in his van and get him situated at home. I know he was anxious (as well as I), being cut off from his round the clock nurses at that hospital into my care alone, but Randy and Lawrence made me feel that ‘we got this’. If it wasn’t for Randy’s help and by extension, Lawrence making sure that the right custodians were briefed and prepared to take care of my brother, I would have never been able to step away. Both my brother and I were exceptionally impressed with one custodian in particular, Rosa, she worked nonstop, always finding something to do and delivering a level of care that surpassed all others. Donna was also a critical member of the team, making sure team members were always on time (and on time meant showing up a bit early) with no lapses in coverage. Between Randy, Lawrence and Donna, I could not have asked for a better team that were genuinely caring, personable and detail oriented. After a few months, with their assistance, my brother is now out of his wheelchair and progressing nicely so that he can be self sufficient and is in good sprits. It truly was a life saver for both my brother and I to come in contact with Honor- not only was their technology state of the art that gave me daily updates, but it was the personal touch that made them stand out heads and shoulders above any other company out there. They have no peers in this industry. Each of these individuals should be commended for their dedication, and efforts. It truly was my HONOR to have worked with them to get my brother out of his wheelchair and back on his feet I would sincerely recommend Honor to anyone that needs care for their loved ones without any reservation. Their standards of excellence and care are without comparison. I wouldn’t have taken the time to write such a lengthy testimonial if I didn’t honestly want to make others lives less stressful in their time of need.

Virginia was perfect for my Mom (95 years old), and even if they couldn't speak the same language, both learned how to communicate with compassion and lots of love for each other. My Mom speaks Japanese, and she felt so comfortable with Virginia she started to speak Japanese to her. Chris and Jasmyne were wonderful and they took the time to listen. It was just a phone call / email away if we had any questions or request for my Mom. Thank you!!

I only worked here for about a month and half and on 31st December my sweet cousin who was just like my sister committed suicide and I couldnt attend my shift or other shifts. My phone was off for a month, I was mourning. I called from February when I finally got myself together a little till today June 3rd 2020 explaining to them every time(spoke to over 5 recruiters-HR) what happened and why I couldnt go for that days shift and they honestly sympathized with me. I was told to go reapply and although will be denied to call back and will get re-instated which I did. Today I was called and a voicemail was left that says We know you had called to be reinstated but unfortunately at this time due to some performance events that has happened based on your performance we can not move you forward I literally got praises for my impeccable notes and punctuality and I called off only once before 31st December because I was burned out. I hope the company can look into my case(my name on file is Elizabeth Ogundairo) thank you.

Very helpful and professional service. This service can really help when an elderly person cant live entirely on their own and has not yet transitioned to managed care facility. Will require initial period during which new caregivers are coming to the home in order to find the best set of care givers. Its then possible to favorite preferred caretakers and they self-select if they with to return. Pretty much everyone they sent was competent and appropriate. On occasion, there were serious issues outside of their control - they sent in a supervisor to help handle it - which was appreciated (eg bought a few items that were sorely needed). The technical support aspect of the service is also helpful. Notably, the caregivers provide a written. online summary, which provides a summary of the activities during each visit, is a helpful way of staying in touch with what is happening. Each caregiver provides their summary per visit and these are all available via the mobile app. All in all, very helpful service during a challenging time.

My 91 year old mom and 89 year old dad would not be able to age in place and stay in their home if it were not for a home health aid. I am unable to be there for them on a constant basis, and Honor Home Care has played a significant role in keeping me sane. They are easy to reach, whether by phone, text, or email, and fast on their feet. Eunice, our caregiver, has been absolutely crucial in keeping my mom grounded, and the home running smoothly, all while staying in touch with me. She is reliable, a knowledgeable caregiver, and is extremely kind. She certainly possesses skills that I dont seem to have. As to Honor itself, in addition to their smooth operation, I have found that they actually charge less than other agencies, yet I believe they treat their workers better in terms of wages, benefits, and keeping their calendars filled. Win-win!

The people that Honor sent to my home to help with my husband, who has Parkinsons and needs a great deal of help due to very reduced mobility were without exception competent, kind, reliable, and good-humored. Most of them went above and beyond the basics of caregiving and took on household tasks without being asked. Once my husband is able to spend time back at home, I will be counting on their services once again. The administrative staff is extremely responsive and will go the last mile to make sure your loved one is well cared for and they are there for you to help with difficult or complex needs or schedule changes.

As a son of two aging parents, one with mild Alzheimers and the other recovering from heart surgery, I needed a company like Honor to both understand the complexity of my needs as well as have the ability to address my parents needs and be sensitive at the same time. Honors staff and care givers were just what my family needed when they needed it. My sister and I most definitely needed peace of mind and we got it!

My almost-two-years of experience with Honors platform and the staff support has always been terrific and exceptional. Not only I am able to encounter different clients who greatly appreciate my works with them, I have also continuously felt a sense of belonging to this organization as it helps me to grow in every inch of the steps into the profession. Being with Honor is more than just being a home care professional, it is the core values that we all share makes things to go above and beyond for us and our clients. Thank you Honor for giving me the opportunities to grow and succeed!

Honor is simply fantastic. Ive been using them for several months now to provide care for my parents, who are both disabled and cannot drive. Its super easy to schedule visits through the app and to share important information that the caregivers will need to provide care. The care pros theyve sent over have all been wonderful — reliable, pleasant and hard-working. I couldnt be happier, and it provides me unbelievable peace of mind that my parents are well taken care of by a team of caring professionals.
