They have provided expert, compassionate and personalized care meeting our family needs at all times. I've been impressed with both the caregiver side as well as the office and administrative side. I contacted Homecare assistance after my 87 year old stepmom had taken a bad fall and went from independant living to needing intense caregiving until we could get her into assisted living. The staff at Homecare Assistance was so responsive, flexible and quick to set things up so my stepmom would be safe and well taken care of. The main caregiver, Precious, was amazing and was excellent at keeping me in the loop and giving me updates as were the rest of the staff. All my interactions with the caregivers and staff were positive and compassionate and I would highly recommend their services.

We have engaged a Home Care Assistance aide to look after my husband at night for well over a year and have been very satisfied with the service they provide. The two regular aides (one in the week and another at weekends), who have been with us from the beginning, are very caring. If for some reason one of the regular aides is unable to come, Home Care Assistance finds a replacement and informs us who will be coming. The replacement staff have also been good. The bi-weekly billing works well. Recently, one of the administrative team visited us to assess my husband's condition and to check that his needs are being met. Based on our experience, we would recommend Home Care Assistance to friends.

I have had the pleasure of working with Zeba at Home Care Assistance (HCA) and I wish I met them 3 agencies ago. They are the most professional of the agencies I have used in Edmonton, and yet fairly priced.In terms of professionalism and communication, they are probably at the highest levels you will find in Edmonton. They are very thorough and have first-rate people. They listen to you and work to satisfy your requirements. However, Zeba has often gone above and beyond a few times, and at a level she did not have to and very pleasantly surprised meWhen you hire these agencies you are putting your parents happiness in their hands. This is very serious and you have little room for error. I have been to hell and back with other agencies in Edmonton who were simply concerned with money, not with offering to help me achieve my goals of care. With one agency the caregiver would come over and sleep on the sofa as she stated she was already tired from working too much. With another, 4 of the staff did not want to do the work as they stated the agency did not pay them enough...this is a small part of it from 4 years of daily service.I can appreciate HCA because I have dealt with three others and know what regular service is and now experience what I would consider outstanding service. Frankly speaking, there is not much else for them to do that they arent doing, they are truly leaders of the pack. If you have any doubts, hire another firm...youll be back 🙂

I enlisted Zareena and her team when my grandfathers nursing home was hit by a COVID outbreak. They were severely understaffed and residents were reportedly going without their basic necessities for prolonged periods of time. My grandfather himself was diagnosed with COVID, which in addition to the citywide shortage of caregivers (nearly every nursing home was on outbreak it seemed) this made it even more difficult to find someone willing to help.Home Care Assistance was able to almost immediately find caregivers to look after my grandfather, and my family and I are deeply grateful for their help in our time of need.
