Reviews Castlewood Care Homes #3
June 2023
This place must have gone down hill big time since I see 5 star reviews from years ago. The building itself looks nice and is in a pleasant location and its cleanliness is acceptable. But the home lacks in many important areas. The care is sub par as the staff are almost always brand new aides that are left alone together with no on site training trying to figure it all out on their own. To top it off none of them speak great english either. All the furniture and equipment looks like its ready for the dump and the food is mea. Everything is heated in the microwave and nothing is actually made by a professional chef. Many times the place is short staffed with only one staff member in the building for the entire shift and even when their are two aides their is no supervisor. And for $4000-$6000 a month you are really not getting your moneys worth in the least bit! The other location o 99A ave Edmonton is even worse! Stay away from castlewood care homes!

Im not sure why my company name is coming up but this review is being left by Colleen McCarvill. My mom has been a resident at Castlewood Care homes since November 2020.Since entering this warm and homey dementia care facility, my moms care has been exceptional. visit my mom almost daily and more often than not, I interrupt some kind of kind engagement with one of their fantastic staff members and or students.Denise has been a Godsend to my mom and myself. Covid has not an easy to navigate and my fears of being left out of my moms care due to restrictions, thankfully have never been realized.Denise is caring, genuine, available and has gone the extra mile for my mom as if she was part of her own familI have so much gratitude and respect for Denise and Castlewood Care homes. As a family, we would have been lost without them. My mom is healthy, happy, well cared for and most importantly, known.Thank you for EVERYTHING ❣
