Our aunt with the diagnosis of dementia, was disenchanted with the upscale place she was staying in Birmingham, Michigan, Although the place resembled a posh, elegant hotel, there was one important element missing according to our aunt---and that was feeling loved -and she was correct. So her doctor sons and doctor daughter-in-law, our cousins, were again in pursuit of finding a safe haven for their mother. Happily, they found a place in Farmington Hills, Michigan, ---a place known as VICKY'S PLACE FARMINGTON HILLS. We were excited to see our aunt. so we visited her. Within 5 minutes of entering the place, we knew it felt like "HOME!" LOVE truly was in this home generated by VICKY AND STAFF. They treated the residence with patience, love, and respect in their spotless, clean place. Over the years until the passing of our aunt, we visited her many times at VICKY'S PLACE, and we can state that never smelled one unpleasant odor. Of course, you could smell the home-made food prepared throughout the day in the kitchen. Our eyes met the holy icons and artifact on the walls. From that point we knew our aunt was residing with excellent care given by the loving Vicky and staff at Vicky's Place, and she told us on many visited occasions that she felt like she belonged and was loved. Although our aunt had dementia, she truly understood what makes sense, feels good---- and that is to TRULY, be Loved where you receive care.

The home is privately run which makes the care very personal in my opinion. Thier comfortable assisted living environment provided our family with a personal type of experience. The owners and staff were wonderful and very friendly every time we visited. If your looking for a place that will feel more like home for you loved one rather than a care facility, Vickys is a good decision. We cant thank them enough.
