As an Geriatric Care Advisor/Assisted Living Placement Specialist, I visit residents who reside in Board and Cares and Assisted Livings throughout Ventura and Los Angeles County. I purposely visit variety of homes at different times because it is important to observe as many staff as I can because it allows me to observe how the residents are being cared for in different situation. Highland Manor is a warm and inviting care home. Current staff, Lilly, and Louie treat all the residents with love and respect. The staff accepts suggestions. This is a very secure home for family members who have dementia. Recommend this home to families who want caring staff taking care of their loved ones. Russell, the administrator, is a "hands-on" owner. When looking for a home for a loved one, this is very important. He welcomes suggestions and is available by phone if he is not onsite.

We want to highly recommend Highlands Manor. The owner and staff were very diligent and competent in the care of my sister. They took great care of her and we always felt that she was happy, safe, and secure. Their attention to detail was greatly appreciated. The owner treated her like his grandmother and they developed a special relationship. I would like to Thank the owner and his staff in the excellent care they gave my sister.
