Pleasanton Senior Care Villa is the third Board and Care Home my 100 year old mother has lived in. She moved into this facility in 2022 after the home she resided in closed due to funding issues. In my experience, this facility is the most efficiently run home of the three. One of the most impressive things about this care home is the extremely low turn over in caregivers. It is a testament to the ownership, Cristina, and the relationship that she shares with her employees. Another important feature is the cleanliness. I can tell you many of these establishments are not well kept, PSCV is. With my mother's advancing age, she has times where she becomes confused and accusatory. The caregivers have maintained their kindness, which I sincerely appreciate. Most of the time, there are two caregivers present, which is not the case in other facilities. Caring for our loved ones can be a difficult journey, Cristina and her team have been very helpful along the way.

My mother went to live at Pleasanton Senior Care Villa in February 2022. The owner/administrator Cristina Nica is the kindest most awesome person She treats all of her residents like her family because to her they are. Her caregiver staff is very attentive, loving and interactive with the residents. This is the place that anyone would want their loved one to live. Cristina is very hands on and involved, My mother was recently in the hospital and Cristina was there more than I was being my mother's advocate, Because of her extensive medical background she is able to communicate with doctors in a way I never could. The residents interact with each other and they all have their meals together. My mother has made new friends there and they all care about each other, The house was recently remodeled and is beautiful. There is a deck outside with trees and flowers and plants where the residents can be outside. My mother's level of care has recently become more than when she first came to live at Pleasanton Senior Villa and Cristina and the caregivers are even more attentive watching over my mother to make sure she is all right and comfortable. I am very grateful to Cristina and her staff for the loving care of my mother. It is a very difficult decision to put an elderly parent in a care home when you are not able to care for them yourself. I highly recommend Pleasanton Senior Villa. I would give them 100 stars if that were possible

Update: My mom has lived the longest in Cristina’s home - 13 1/2 years. It feels like home - not a board and care. The home is happy and warm with laughter and love, like family. My mom was able to stay on Hospice in the home and live in her own room with all of us around her for her final days. Cristina’s spent the entire final night at my mom’s bedside. I relieved her in the morning. I’m so grateful for Cristina and the caregivers there love and dedication got us through one of the most difficult times in my life. I cannot say enough positive things about this home. You definitely want Cristina to be your advocate if you cannot be there. She was on top of my mother’s treatments, meds, appointments etc. she knew what was going on at every minute. Your loved one will definitely be in the best of hands in this home. My mother took Wheels Dial A ride to dialysis 3X per week and then to cancer treatments at the end and Cristina or I was with mom each visit.

I moved my mom here in April, 2022 and she has been happy and well taken care of from day 1. The caregivers are loving and thoughtful, going above and beyond to make my mom and the other residents feel safe. The home is clean, food is good, and there is joy in the home. I am so thankful to have found Pleasanton Senior Villa for my 87 year old mom. She is thriving despite limited mobility because she feels safe and loved.

I would like to give my highest recommendation to Pleasanton Senior Care Villa. My mother lived there for five years, during which time she enjoyed the sort of love and close attention that we felt we could only expect from a loving family member. The genuine love, care, concern, and skilled help was far beyond what we could have remotely anticipated. Mom's eyes lit up every time a caregiver came into the room. The caregivers hugged and kissed mom, told her they loved her, and cared for her like one of their own. It made us feel so much more comfortable to know that the owner of the facility, Cristina Nica, was a licensed nurse in Romania, and even went beyond that to study medicine for two years. My brothers and I felt we had the best of all worlds: loving, personal and combined with the sort of sensibilities one gains from having studied nursing and medicine. Their understanding of what created a homelike atmosphere was an enormous plus, considering my mom was in her own apartment until age 94 and needed a space that felt like home. My younger brother and I both worked with Cristina, the owner, and the staff, to help personalize the experience to the specific needs of my mom and to give her the highest quality of life during her precious golden years. It was a comfort to learn that the facility is also licensed for hospice and could provide wonderful continuity all the way through my mom's life to the end, as was the case. I can't imagine a better experience than the one my mother and my family enjoyed during her stay at Pleasanton Senior Care Villa.

I began looking for a place for my Mom in 2012 when I could no longer care for her in my home. I was so happy to find such a loving home with the best care possible. Mom is happy and loves her care givers. This is a home in a neighborhood with 6 residents and two full time caregivers. Cristina the most kind and caring Administrator who is always on top of the care and completely involved. Mom has to go out to dialysis 3 times per week and with the protocols in place the home has remained Covid free!!

My dad Chuck lived at Pleasanton Senior Care Villa for 6 years. We were so fortunate to find Cristina Nica's, care home because it was perfect for what we were looking for, which was a home environment rather than a large clinical facility. It was such a blessing because my dad felt safe and cared for while living there. Through their kindness, love and compassion they always made him feel special, which is why he truly enjoyed living there for so many years. It was a special place for him and for our family, as we all felt like it was home. Over the years we have come to know Cristina and her family on a more personal level. My dad has since passed but we still continue our friendship with Cristina. Cristina and her staff went way beyond the call of duty caring for our Mother. Our Mother would definitely still be a resident if her condition did not need 24 hour care. We were sad that we had to move her. The home is spotless and the residents are very well cared for. The outside deck and yard is a wonderful place for the residents to enjoy. Cristina is very medically knowledgeable and very diligent about the care of the residents. The staff has a wonderful attitude and the environment is a happy one. Everyone is treated like family with patience, love and respect. I would highly recommend this facility for a loved one.

My mother in law Mary lived here for 2 1/2 years before her passing. The care that Cristina Nica and her care givers provided to Mary was beautiful. Mary was treated with love, kindness respect, and dignity. We came to know Cristina and her caretakers on a personal level. They are all so kind and giving. The care they provide comes from their selfless effort to do everything possible to make their residents feel loved, safe and that they are home.

Our mother was at Pleasanton Senior Care Villa for over 3 years. The caregivers were kind and patient and treated our mother like family. They were flexible in changes to level of care our mother required. When she first moved to the home she was quite independent and at the end she was on hospice and needed a higher level of care. The owner Cristina was very involved, present several days a week and assisted with care on a regular basis. My mom came to love Cristina and the caregivers as if they were family. We will be forever grateful to them for how they cared for our mother during her last few years.

I highly recommend this senior care facility. 5 stars in my book. My 94 year old father has been cared for here for the past almost 4 years. He has been cared for wonderfully. Prior to being cared for here, he was at a large independent living facility which he found impersonal and intimidating. This facility is intimate (6 residents) with two caretakers who have been great and a wonderful owner who is considerate, caring and very competent. This facility has been a godsend for my father and I recommend it highly.

Our grandma stayed her last three years here. The care she received was second to none. We love Cristina and staff. It is a home, so it feels like home. At a certain point, sometimes the family can't care for our elderly members, which brings about a large sense of guilt. We are so grateful that we found this place. It was the best decision for all of us and we are so happy with the love and care she received.
