My mother, who’s been wheelchair bound for many years, took a terrible fall from her wheelchair in February of 2026. This fall was devastating to her health and forced our hands into providing her with 24 hour care. I stumbled onto The Pines of Oakhurst after visiting and researching other facilities. I learned a long time ago to not judge a book by its cover. Since my mothers acceptance to the facility, I was overwhelmed with the staff and what was to be provided for my mother. The Pines has lived up to everything that was promised and then some. Liza and her staff run a top notch care facility and treat each patient with the utmost care. They are attentive to the needs of not just their patients, but their family. Having 24 hour access is a relief as they encourage visitation with your loved one. I feel like the staff has become an extension of our family. Placing a loved one into a facility is challenging enough, but The Pines has exceeded all expectations and I would recommend this facility to anyone seeking 24 hour dependent care. Thank you Liza and staff for what you do and the personal sacrifices you make to make everyone feel like they are at home.

It’s never an easy decision to place your loved one in a memory care facility or home. I appreciate their clarity and upfront pricing on their website and feel they are very reasonably priced and affordable in comparison. When deciding on a location I often asked myself would I want to live here if it were me? From the time I walked in the door at The Pines, it felt like a home and smelled like a home, not the typical facility we tend to expect, and it’s somewhere I wouldn’t mind living. The staff there is wonderful. They are patient with the residents and you can see they are genuine and love their jobs, to include the house manager Liza. She runs a tight ship and makes sure everything is clean and in order and that the residents are well tended to and comfortable. I am so happy I found the right place for my dad and have the comfort of knowing he is well taken care of when I can’t be there. The sense of security and calm they provide to the family members is priceless.

Liza and her staff are great! My mother lived the rest of her days at The Pines. Liza and her staff showed compassion and were very attentive to my mother as well as to me and my sisters. I was hesitant to put my mother in a memory care facility because I did not think anyone could care for her as my sisters and I did. My sisters and I are truly grateful to everyone at The Pines. I have recommended The Pines to family, friends and neighbors. I cannot thank Liza and her staff enough.

Liza is the most caring, happiest, loving manager of the sycamore facilities. I LOVE all the managers BUT Liza is #1. She is very competent in her job and does not take any slack from her employees when it comes to the care of her residents. She absolutely adores all her residents and cares for the family that supports them as well. I will 100% recommend Pines at Oakhurst for any of my pts needs!!!

My dad was a resident at The Pines and his care was exceptional. The facility is very nice, the rooms are cozy and the food is good. But it is the care team that really leaves their mark. Every one who lives there is treated with respect and dignity. The employees smile, laugh and interact with everyone, including each other. Liza's leadership is felt throughout, Willis and Monica were dad's primary caregivers and I am forever grateful for the compassion they showed my dad in his final days. Thank you all for bring difference makers in the lives of our precious loved ones.

I am truly grateful for The Pines at Oakhurst for the care they gave my husband and our family the past five months . I don’t have words for what the staff there does for their residents . In the most difficult time of their lives , they give loving care , dignity and respect to each and every one of them . I have witnessed this all hours of the day and night as family has access 24/7 . They know each residents little ways about them , their preferences and what makes them comfortable and feel at home .. my husband was very happy there and when I would bring him back from an outing I never received any pushback , it became his community / home of others struggling so he didn’t feel so isolated with his disease . . the residence would all help each other as well. The home is spotless and always smells wonderfully clean and often has some delicious home cooked meal or dessert cooking in the kitchen . It’s a warm uplifting place with music , teasing , laughter and love My husband passed last week and they took the most horrific time in our lives and loved us through it . I will miss being apart of The Pines family now that he has passed and have already directed my children when the time comes , this is where I would like to go . God bless each angel at The Pines

The entire staff at The Pines at Oakhurst have been nothing but wonderful with my mother during her transition from independent living to memory care. They keep me constantly updated on her condition when I am not able to visit. They treat everyone well from my observation and the home cooked meals always look and smell amazing.

Katy and the Fletcher are very kind and compassionate group of people. It shows in the faces of all their residence and when in the home everyone is engaged and smiling. It's wonderful to know there are superior Personal Care Home to turn to.

This is a first class personal care home that goes above and beyond all the others! The Fletchers(owners) and the staff treat everyone like family. The quality of care that the residents receive is top notch and the food is fantastic too. I recommend The Pines to anyone looking for a personal care home/assisted living facility for their loved ones.

The Pines at Oakhurst isn't your run of the mill Assisted Living Facility! Everyone is treated like family here, and the people who own and run the facility make it a special experience for whoever walks through their doors. It would be hard to find care givers with more enthusiasm. You can tell these people love what they do just by watching how caring, loving, and supportive they are with all of their guests. Be ready for hugs, laughs, good cooking, and great assistance. I guarantee you won't be disappointed, every time I visit I don't want to leave. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
