My husband who has dementia and had a stroke last fall spent ten days at The Grove. Our experience was excellent. Residents stay in small home-like groupings called pods with one corridor of bedrooms, a lovely big living room with television and other activities, a lunch counter, and family-style dining room table. the food was good! When I visited for a look/see, I thought, "I'd like to live here!" When he arrived the first day and was escorted to his "pod," the staff there greeted him warmly, held hands with him, walked with him a little, hugged him. He smiled for the first time in a long time. He had a cozy little bedroom, a private bathroom & shower, and we all loved the framed photographs on the wall leading to his room. I was worried about placing him in respite care, which I needed badly to visit my grandson and just rest. But I wasted a lot of spirit worrying, because he was fine, more than fine, was cared for very well, made a good adjustment (big surprise and relief to me!), and was happy to be there. Hats off to The Grove, to Kim, Tammie, Susan, Paulina, and all the others for compassionate excellent work!

Last week I moved my aunt into a new area of The Grove at Oakley. They focus on dementia care. So far we have had an excellent experience. The staff have been very kind and attentive. I have been very impressed with everyone I have met.

The BEST memory care facility in Columbus. Me and my siblings would not have our mother any where else. You don't have the worry. Knowing she's is in the best care, helps our family to rest as well. My grandmother spent her final couple of years here after a number of difficult years of us navigating the uncertainties of dementia on our own. The sense of peace our family had knowing that she was being cared for by a team who think of the residents as family is absolutely invaluable. We had a number of unfortunate experiences with other care facilities which cast the overall field of long-term and memory care in a negative light. It's a simple fact that no one wants to think of themselves or loved ones "ending up" in a nursing home but because of The Grove, we came to realize that we were able to enjoy spending more time doing what mattered while visiting, conversing, and reminiscing with my grandma because of the care they provided.

Mom has lived at The Grove for over 4 years. We are happy with the care she receives from the staff and they have become like part of our family. I can't imagine her being anywhere else. My sister and I can be at ease knowing she is safe and well cared for.

My mom has been at the Grove about a year.The staff is wonderful and truly truly care about all the residents.The building and residents rooms and living areas are always clean.The residents are well cared for physically and mentally.Thank you for all you do.I cant say that enough.I know my mom is happy and safe.

This is long overdue. I cannot say enough about the Grove. I moved my Godmother whom I was in charge of to this facility. She was in the latter stages of Alzheimers at the time. I am so thankful she spent her last year here with the most caring, friendly, compassionate staff you could ever ask for. Their job is so very difficult and requires so much patience. Every member of their team that I encountered loved her and cared for her as if she were part of their family. As hard as it is to make this decision I am so thankful my neighbor referred me to an add in the Sunday dispatch for the Grove. My Godmother had her own private room with a private bath at a very reasonable cost. Her prior memory care facility required her to share a bathroom which she simply never adjusted to. The facility incorporates the multi neighborhood design which works quite well catering to each individuals special needs. There isnt a fancy reception desk At the main entrance because its simply not necessary, its only an added expense. They really do have a nice setup and im so thankful we made the move.

I visited this property on several occasions and found the staff to be consistent, caring, professional, and very knowledgeable. This property is a new building and very clean and organized. The rooms are very spacious and cute. I would highly recommend the facility to anyone who is in need.

My aunt is has been there since the opening, and the whole family believes it was the best decision made for her. Luckily there are few residents so we benefit from extra care ! Everyone is very caring, especially nurses Tom and Lynn !
