I did a tour here for a family member placement. The lady that gave the tour was so helpful, insightful, and great. She answered all my questions which was helpful since it is a very overwhelming process trying to find a care facility for my family member. This facility was one of the nicest care facilities that I had toured; clean and organized.

I recently visited Arden Courts for a Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce member meeting. Monika, and the entire Arden Courts staff, were very courteous and welcoming. The location was perfect for hosting our event. We were also given a facility tour. I love how thoughtfully planned out the design and other elements are. Based on what I saw, I would trust Arden Courts for a family member with memory issues.

Hadn't been to Arden Courts for a while, but on my recent visit, I could see the new management is making a refreshing difference - and a sweet one, too with the cookies and lemonade in the lobby. The staff seemed more upbeat and were very welcoming. I didn't stay long, but I did see that activities her perked up, too. Well done with the new spirit; keep it up.

We brought our mom to Arden Courts Glen Ellyn about a month ago from another memory care facility… WOW what a difference. Our mom is more alert, eats much better, mom is much more verbal. Our mom is treated with respect and dignity. The staff truly caring, kind hearted just awesome. The home is bright, uplifting feels like a home. If you are looking for a memory care facility for a loved one, this would be the one.

I had the pleasure of hosting our Glen Ellyn Chamber Member breakfast meeting in July 2024 at Arden Courts of Glen Ellyn. All of the staff were very friendly and I was very impressed with the full breakfast provided to our Glen Ellyn Chamber members. The Cafe was a lovely room to host a meeting and our Chamber members appreciated the raffle prizes, tours, and departure goodie bags at the end of the meeting. I'd also like to recognize Monika Peterson, Business Development Specialist at Arden Courts Promedica Memory Care. I appreciate Monika's dedication to the Glen Ellyn Chamber! Arden Courts is impressive! Very neat and clean in every way! The accommodations are spacious and comfortable, the outside courtyards are beautiful, the food is wholesome and plentiful, and the staff is the best (knowledgeable, skillful and loving) in the care of the residents. I feel good about my loved one being there. I would recommend Arden Courts to any who need a Memory care facility.

My mother has been at Arden Courts for several years. It is wonderful to have a place that you know is safe and caring. The staff and nurses do so much taking care of the residents. The activities are wonderful and one of my favorite things about Arden is that the residents can go outside into a very safe environment. I would absolutely recommend Arden Courts for your loved one.

I used to work here and I can say this is an unsafe place for residents and caregivers. One because there is only 1 bathroom per 15+ residents which is extremly small for wheelchair users and in general very unsanitary especially since the housecleaner never cleans the bathroom. Second because there is not enough staff to help put the residents in and out of the bed if they want to take a nap, so they develp spres on the bottom due to the prolong time in wheelchairs. There are some residents who need a wheelchair but residents walk around with loose pants and socks.

What an amazing place. The staff is caring and attentive. We moved Dad in from out of state and they made things incredibly easy, which was such a blessing during a challenging time in our lives. We love being able to visit often and walk together in the garden areas. They provide educational opportunities for family members, as well as an optional support group to connect with other families. I can't say enough about the peace of mind we have since finding Arden Courts.

The hardest decision I have had to make was when my husband, Ray, needed memory care. It's been nine years since he started exhibiting symptoms of Alzheimer's. I wanted us to stay together throughout the journey. Last year, his condition worsened dramatically, to the point where I was overwhelmed. He wandered at night, sometimes wanting to go outside. He left terrible messes in the bathroom, he would stare out the window for extended periods of time, and he couldn't be trusted to stay in one place when I needed to go into another room. I was frazzled and crying all the time. My daughter called me in early January and could tell from my voice that I was not doing well. She told me "Mom, it's time". I already knew where to go - Arden Courts of Glen Ellyn. Four years ago, Ray stayed at three different memory places for short periods of respite care. He could still tell me what he liked and disliked about them. Arden Courts offers planned activities after breakfast until bedtime. The majority of residents participate in every activity, but you can also choose to walk outside on the enclosed path, watch tv in the lounge, or hang out in your room. The caregivers take time to get to know your loved one, and have calm, soothing ways of talking with the residents. Ray loves the food and asks for seconds. A nurse is on duty 24 hours a day. He uses a CPAP machine 3-4 hours on most nights, and the caregivers assist him with setting it up. He still wanders at night, but he is now in a safe environment. I visit every day, mostly in the morning and sometimes in the evening hours. There are no set "visiting hours". If you arrive before or after office hours, you just call the main number, and someone will let you in. My husband was placed eight months ago, and every day I am grateful for these wonderful people who are caring for him. It is truly a calling to care for memory residents. I feel like we are all one big family - residents, caregivers, staff and family members.

After diligently searching for many months, I was so happy to find Arden Courts of Glen Ellyn for my cousin. From the very first home visit for evaluation it was evident how much they cared for the residents. It was a difficult transition as some can be when a senior is moving from the home they have known for years but everyone there was so very kind, patient and welcoming. The staff became like family, from the administrators, programming, kitchen staff, nurses and care givers. He always said "I have so many friends here and they all know my name". I visited often. His room as well as the common areas were always clean. There's no "you can only visit at certain times when it's scheduled". Every time I came no matter what day or time, the care, cleanliness, attention and programming was consistent and exceeded my expectations. It is a lovely place, newly remodeled with a great courtyard. The single level layout was perfect for my cousin. He became familiar with the facility quickly and could walk wherever and whenever he wanted to. The medical team there was such a blessing. They would call to update me on even the most minor issue. COVID was especially challenging but the team there went above and beyond to keep the connection even during lockdown. Weekly or more Zoom calls, visits through the window, projects and items I could bring to him and they had the residents create for their families as well. There are games, activities, exercise programs, movie nights, music theme days and every holiday gets celebrated in a special way. My cousin resided there for a year and a half before he passed away. The attentive, gentle, loving care he received as the end neared gave me such comfort, as if family were truly taking care of him. I would give Arden Courts of Glen Ellyn a hundred stars if I could. Finding Arden Courts has been a blessing for my mother and for us. The staff is extraordinary. They have been so kind, compassionate, and very accommodating. They keep us updated and are always there if we need them. The interior is visually stimulating and beautiful. The daily activities keep my Mom physically and mentally active. Everytime we take her out for the day, she is truly happy to return " home". I am so thankful we found Arden Courts!

Learning about the design, layout, and unique features of Ardens Courts, I was impressed with what they have to offer residents suffering from Alzheimers Disease and Dementia-related diseases. It takes dedicated professionals to care for this delicate population during this challenging time.

My aunt is at Arden Courts and I cant say enough about our experience. From the day we got there to get her settled in, every person we encountered from the front reception to the director and caregivers have been nothing but caring and helpful in so many different ways. Theres a lot that comes up in making a transition like this. The staff has taken a lot of time talking us through the whole situation. Arden does not feel like a typical nursing home facility. It has a homey feeling to it. Every time Ive been there, everything has been clean. When we visit, the residents are not just in their rooms. Everyone is out and about either in the dining room, living room or doing activities. There are also two courtyards in the middle of all the residents rooms. They are able to put up bird feeders and plant in the flower boxes or just go outside any time theyd like. There is a medical staff on the premises, a beauty salon, and a library. When you find a loved one in a health situation like memory care, you have to put yourself in their shoes to see if the people who are going to be taking care of them, would be something that would be acceptable for yourself. For me, Arden would be the type of place I would want to be cared for at.

I recently inquired about this community for my mom who is experiencing dementia issues and I was pleasantly surprise of how well the community is designed from other places I have seen. I moved mom in and I have been scheduling a window visit to see her and how she is adjusting. My mom is currently in the early stages of the disease and I knew now was the time to make the transition to this homelike environment for my mom. She seems the be in great spirits and the communication and leadership at this community is great.

I was happy when I choose this community for memory care for my dad. There layout and free flow between the community is great for a person experiencing memory impairment. I had a virtual tour of the community due to the fact that we couldnt go in, and the advisor was very pleasant and informative when giving us information. I was very much interested in programming for my dad and she went over and showed current programming being implemented and the residents seemed to be having fun. I have not tasted the food to comment on, but my day says it good and if he says it good I will take his word for it! The nurse has been in consistent communication with my brother and I about my dads medication and getting our approval before starting any new med that the doctor has prescribed. I know my dad will thrive here and we are happy we moved dad into Arden Courts of Glen Ellyn. I will recommend this community to families that are experiencing challenges with there loved ones.
