They are a premier memory care facility. They are well educated and their protocols are efficient and effective. The building is nice, the outside area is serene. That stood out to me when I first visited. The staff has been very helpful and I am very satisfied with how helpful they've been explaining things to me. Brianna has been a lifesaver, literally. My mother had a difficult time at the last place she was at so we were very concerned and cautious about moving her. We decided that a place dedicated and specialized to senior memory care would be a safer choice and my only regret was that we didn't go this route to begin with. The difference is night and day.

I was so pleased with the cleanliness of the community and the engagement toward my mom while I was there. This is an unbearable time for me and my family but after our visit I know my mom will be in great hands. She will be safe and well taken care of. My family and I can hopefully have some relief.

Dear ProMedica Senior Care, I am writing to thank the staff at Arden Courts in Whippany for the excellent care my husband, Jeff Erven is receiving. The staff are amazing and he is receiving the best care. Last year my husband's health began to deteriorate. He was hospitalized several times and had two surgeries. After each hospitalization he was admitted to a care facility to recover. I was aware of the facilities in my area and none of them could meet my expectations. The care left a lot to be desired. I brought him home after each stay. As time went on I realized that he needed more help than I could provide. I started to look at different providers since I was familiar with the different facilities. When I took the tour at Arden Courts I immediately knew this where my husband belonged. I liked the at home atmosphere. The staff were so friendly, they would interact with the residents, the facility was immaculate. All the residents were happy and I could tell they are well taken care of. It was not an easy decision for me and my family, but we realized that it was the best decision for Jeff. I also have a disabled adult child who needs constant care, so it was challenging for me to meet everyone needs. When I visit Jeff, he is happy all his needs are being met. When we bring him home or take him out he refers to Arden Courts as his home. He calls it "home sweet home". I am grateful to all the staff for giving my husband the care that he needs. Arden Courts is perfect. Anyone who is facing the placement of a loved one should consider Arden Courts. It is a decision that they will not regret. Thank you Arden Courts for the excellent care that I husband is receiving. I would be lost without you.

Really impressed with Arden Courts of Whippany after touring today. I really appreciated the time Barbara and Samantha spent with me today - a lot of great insights and I felt they really understood my needs. I love that this is not a typical institution - it combines a nice homey feel with quality care specifically for Alzheimer's patients - right in our own community. I have to admit I was surprised by its warm, caring (and clean) environment, and I liked their focus on keeping the residents engaged and stimulated. Great staff to resident ratio and the staff seem very attentive, interacting a lot with the residents. Really worth checking this out.

Our family also visited several other places, and we decided on Arden Courts because it was a memory care only facility and because there was more of a homey vibe. It was the right choice for our aunt. Personnel were professional, caring and kind from the administration and office staff to the care givers and custodians. I was impressed by the variety of stimulating and fun activities planned daily for residents. The health of residents is continually monitored and they receive skilled nursing care, while Arden Courts communicates with family members. Overall, it was a very positive experience.

When I no longer was able to take care of my husband, I faced the difficult decision to find a facility for him. I toured several places, and none met my expectations. Arden Courts was my last tour and I was so impressed with the staff and facilities. The facility is clean, each residents room was immaculate. I saw the staff interacting with the residents. Each resident was smiling and happy. I knew then that a found the perfect place for my husband. Besides dementia my husband has multiple medical issues and all of these issues are well taken care of. I sometimes take my husband home for an afternoon or we go out for lunch, but he looks forward to going "home". Choosing Arden Courts of Whippany to care for my Dad is a decision I am very grateful that we made two and a half years ago. The structure, activities (music, dancing, crafts, cooking and eating & this past May, a PROM) and for him in particular, the outdoor space, allow the residents to develop routines, remain social and stay active for as long as possible. My father, James, loved working in the flower beds in the enclosed back yard and the first summer he was there, he was often mistaken by visitors, for the gardener (he thought he was:))He sat with his friends for meals and was able to develop a closeness with a few of the other residents which brought him happiness. The staff truly cared for him which was always evident in their interactions with him. The nurses kept me updated regarding changes in his health and mental status. They got to know him so well and knew immediately if something was "off". Working with this population is very challenging, yet most of the staff approached their work with good nature and kindness. My father passed last month and I miss him terribly. His caregivers were upset by his passing as well, which underscored their genuine compassion . They cared. As difficult as the journey has been, I am glad that Arden Courts Whippany was part of it. It is such a leap of faith to hand over the care of someone you love and initially it feels awful. But, it is a blessing when the decision you make eventually brings you some peace of mind.

I am so grateful to have found Arden Courts of Whippany for my dad as I just moved him in. Anthony Elia is an Angel!!! He supported me and dad with every small to large detail to make the move easy. The facility is clean, bright and has a warm home feel. I looked at a number of facilities for my dad with Alzheimer's and this one was best for dad as he is free to move around, no prison locked in feel like many facilities. More shout outs, hugs and thank you's to Judy Wittler the Executive Director, Jimmy the kind and helpful maintenance person, Christine the nurse and sorry I do not know everyone's names yet but so many welcomed dad and myself the day we moved him in. I am still crying with happiness!

They've continued to treat my mother, me, and my family with the kind of respect you'd expect from a close family member. Specifically, Anthony and Judy have shown us caring that has emotionally moved all of us. The nursing staff is so efficient and attentive in comparison with any who I've encountered in the five hospitals and rehab facilities in which my mother spent time before coming to Arden. I highly recommend Arden Courts of Whippany to any family seeking care for loved ones with Alzheimer's and related Dementias. They are experts in all stages of memory care and facility design. My family knows firsthand, the heart-wrenching decision to move a parent from his home under our care to a memory care home. Dementia is a very difficult disease on patients and their families. My father had vascular dementia and aphasia resulting from a stroke and was at Arden Courts for about 10 months before he passed this summer. We were so pleased with the compassionate care, respect, and support for my father and our family. Even as his disease progressed, he had purpose and felt comfortable in his new home - I'm sure of it. We visited daily, encouraged him to participate in activities, took him out into the world on small adventures for as long as we could, and found peace and inspiration with the new friends we made at Arden - staff & care team and the other residents & their families. Everyone is so kind, compassionate, and supportive, more than we could have ever imagined. Their attention to my husband's needs is second to none, and the many interesting daily activities have definitely helped him stay happy, interested, and engaged. My wife was at another facility for 10 months and we decided to look for a place providing only memory care. My daughter found Arden Courts on the internet and we decided to look into it. Wow!, What a difference. Arden Courts not only met our expectations but exceeded them. It was a night and day difference. The staff was very friendly, but more importantly, they listened to our needs. The facility is very clean and they had numerous events including a miniature horse, several dogs, exercises, karaoke, singing, bingo, painting, and a host of other activities. This facility has a warm touch to it and it's the closest to being at home. Memory care is never pleasant, but living at Arden Courts makes it that much easier.

We feel very lucky to have found Arden Courts of Whippany. We visited several facilities before choosing Arden Courts for our family member a year and a half ago. The thing that set AC apart from the other places we looked at is that all of the residents are here for memory care. It isn't just a wing in a nursing home. Everything from the building and grounds to the daily schedule has been designed specifically for memory care. Once our family member moved in, we were able to see the intangible benefits of AC. After each visit, my husband and I turn to eachother and say he's in the right place. It's been a huge releif for us to know that our family member is being well cared for by caring professionals. He's much better off living in this community than if he had been isolated with just us this whole time. We visit often and find our family member engaged in activities like bingo, chair exercises, music, snack times, etc. Other times he's napping when we arrive. Participation in activities is encouraged, but never forced on residents. Today we are visiting with our dog outside in the peaceful fenced in courtyard that goes all around the building.

This was my first time visiting a resident in the cottages. Not sure of where I was going a male employee in the parking area was accommodating and directed me to where I needed to go. I found the staff to be very pleasant and kind. The facility was nicely decorated and maintained. I needed to use a ladies room and somebody pointed me to a room that said shower. There was no toilet paper in this room and the toilet itself needed a good cleaning. There was a line of dirt where the water meets the toilet tank. I was then directed to another bathroom where the water was purple, most likely from a toilet cleanser. After I flushed the toilet it was obvious the cleanser was put in the toilet but the toilet had not been scrubbed. The bathroom had toilet paper sitting on the back of the toilet with no toilet paper in the toilet paper holder itself. Later we sat in an area which had a kitchen and tables to accommodate four people. It was not until about 3 p.m. that the sticky liquid on the floor and the dirty tables were wiped down. Before sitting at one of these tables with the resident I wiped down the table myself.I have worked in nursing care facilities. Other than the issues I stated above I would say Arden Courts is a step above many of the facilities I have been in.

What an AMAZING facility!!! This journey has been difficult for myself and my family since my Mom was diagnosed with dementia 10 years ago. I have had to tour many facilities over the years, many were bleak at best.My Mom has been in 4 different ones, none of which have been a particularly good fit.The minute I walked into Arden Courts I knew that I had found the right place and forever home for my Mom. The staff is superb, and treats my Mom in the same loving way that I do. You can tell that really do love and care about the patients.The facilitys floor plan is ingenious, my Mom loves the freedom of being able to walk around and explore cant say enough positive things about this place, I highly recommend it for your loved one. Your search for the perfect facility will end here, at this location of Arden Courts.

No one really wants to place a loved on into assisted living dementia care. Everyone feels that they can take better care of their loved one than anyone, or anyplace, else. Im thankful that I placed my wife at Arden Courts in Whippany because she is safer, happier, better cared for and healthier than anything I could have done, on my own. had to select a facility as I could no longer care for her. In most cases its not possible for one person to take care of an individual 24x7. I should have placed Louise sooner after experiencing the level of care and concern at Arden Courts first hand chose Arden Courts, for a number of specific reasons, but the primary reason was intuitive. The staff of Arden Courts is extraordinary. If gold medals were awarded to caretakers for being attentive, kind, addressing all the needs of residents, gently directing them as needed, keeping them safe, ensuring that they had the nutrition they need, being well dressed and groomed, and in general treating residents like family, youd need sunglasses for all the bling. I felt the staff was kind an efficient, but I underestimated the magnitude of their ability and caringThe facility is on one level. The interior design is open and free flowing. The bedrooms are private, and are free to decorate as desired. There is a bathroom in each bedroom, with a sink in both the bathroom and bedroom. No one wanders to find a bathroom. The facility is clean and is smells good. All of the staff, not just the cleaning staff, works at constantly maintaining the shine. All of the staff provides assistance to the residents if necessary. No one is left if they need help while a caretaker is called. There are specific areas for lounging, eating and activities. There is a Social Room, which can be made private. We held my wifes last birthday party thereMy wife loves the outdoors and walking. We try to walk outside on a daily basis. The facility is designed to allow residents to walk through the entire residential area, and the gardens that surround three sides of the facility. During nice weather, the doors to the gardens are not secured, and there are lovely places to sit under trees, in the sun, in the gazebo and on the porch to enjoy the trees, flowers and birds. My wife and I frequently walk outside, even when the weather is less than ideal.There are things that are not obvious during a visit. The activities and activities staff are great, there is excellent entertainment from outside on a regular basis, and fun seasonal activities. The food is good. Given the dietary constraints of residents, they make the food taste really good. There are occasional barbecues, and grilling afternoons during good weather. There have been a number of dinners for residents and their families in the evening to celebrate holidays. The last, for Valentines Day was a romantic dinner in the Social room, with dancing afterward.The nursing staff, in association with the medical staff, has done wonders in the care of my wife. The physical condition of all the residents is reported to the nursing staff, who advises the medical staff. A doctor, nurse practitioner, and nutritionist are on premises, on a regular basis. A podiatrist takes care of my wifes feet, a dentist is on callEveryone works as a gentle, coordinated, attentive team. I would have not been able to provide anything close to the level of medical care Louise receives at Arden Courts, Whippany, if she were in my careMy wife went into care in May of 2017. Soon after that I saw that Arden Courts became her home. She request to go back ‘home when shes at relatives houses and becomes tired. The staff and residents have become family to the both of us. Ive kept abreast of other facilities in the area as they are built and open, and nothing comes close to the level of care and concern at Arden Courts, Whippany.

Needing a care facility for my father, I researched many local ones and narrowed it down to 3 to interview. After my initial interview with each, Arden Courts was by far the most qualified. My sister, who is a clinical psychologist, flew in to interview the same three. I already made my decision but did not let her know. After her interviews, she also chose Arden Courts and we are glad we did. They are the most professional, friendly, and caring facility that you could imagine. We had a live-in caretaker for my father 24 hours a day and Arden Courts was the closest to replicating that type of care. My father immediately felt at home and we were thrilled at the attention he received. They looked after his every need and we all felt Arden Courts was our second home.
