This is the second place my mom has been since diagnosed with dementia as well as late stage alzheimer's. Admittedly, she can be a difficult patient. Jeanine and the incredible staff at Grandbrook have gone above and beyond to bring her into their community and given her a soft place to land. It is hard to put into words the love and appreciation I have for Grand Brook Memory Care of Allen. The entire team is amazing. The prospect of finding a facility for both of my parents - each with their own serious medical issues was incredibly daunting. Despite hours of research, I was struggling and frankly, lost. That is, until I met Jeanine and Alisha. That introduction was an answered prayer and a game changer. I quickly realized that in my search for a facility, I had found a family. In searching for a provider, I found a partner. The care team is not only highly trained, they are loving, caring and compassionate. It takes a special person to care for memory care residents and an even more special person to appreciate that those residents are someone's family worthy of the upmost love, kindness and respect. Grand Brook Memory Care of Allen is full of these special people. However, the care does not end with the residents, it extends to the family as well. The reassurance I received from the countless hours Jeanine and Alisha spent counseling and educating me was such a blessing. I would have been lost without them. I cannot say enough about this facility and their staff. We moved my Dad from another sub-par memory care facility and my only regret is that we did not do it sooner! The people at Grand Brook treated my Dad like he was part of their family. He was over the moon to be there from the moment we walked in the door. They had him laughing and singing within 5 minutes, which was a 180 degree change from how it was at the previous facility. My Dad wanted for nothing while he was at Grand Brook. He was extremely well take care of, as were his family members, all the way until the end. He passed away peacefully and with dignity as they checked on and cleaned him up minutes before he passed. The biggest difference from the previous facility is that the staff here absolutely love their jobs and fully support one another, all of their patients, and the families. They are always smiling and laughing and bring so much joy to the place. My Dad thrived off that energy and died a happy man in a place that he considered his home. Even the late night staff, on the evening he passed, helped us move some things out and made us smile with funny stories about my Dad. They loved him so much! We cannot thank the Grand Brook staff enough for everything they did for my Dad and our family. They are all truly angels on Earth and we are so blessed to have found them!

Moved my Mom to Grand Brook 3 years ago from assisted living in McKinney. Love this smaller community and the wonderful caring people that work here. Feels like home to both my Mom and me. Grand Brook Memory Care of Allen is a loving, caring and supportive community. As a Senior Housing Advisor, I know the Executive Director Jeanine Smith is going to take the time to know my client. She uses the village mentality where she not only looks for how to take care of the individual with Dementia but she creates a care plan that includes the family. Her support group meetings are not just open to the families that have loved ones in Grand Brook Allen, she will allow children, spouses that have loved ones in other communities to join her group. She really just wants to help and ensure they know they are not alone. She gives out books to the families when appropriate, on her off time she is dedicated to the Alzheimer's Association the Dallas Northeast Chapter. Both her and her spouse Scott run a ministry in their church. Jeanine is genuine and she really cares. She pours her heart and creative talents into everything she does. I had to write this today, because she's been there for me and my family. On her own time came to celebrate my moms 80th birthday. I could go on and on and I know the Grand Brook families will agree with me. It's truly special, you just feel it when you walk in! Jeanine has built a team of individuals who show empathy and compassion for their residents. It's not for notoriety, it's not a get rich scheme, she is truly a servant of God that loves what she does. Her humble spirit shows her gratitude to be able to be there for her residents. This spirit lives through and through in all of the Grand Brook Memory Care Communities. It's a family owned business that are still involved in the day to day operations. When they/Leadership Team met me they immediately welcomed me into the fold, quickly signed my contract and educated me about why they are different. It starts at the top, and I see a company living their mission and values daily, not just with their residents but with their partners too. I know and feel valued! After taking care of my wife in our home for nearly four years after her late-on-set Alzheimer's diagnose, I had to move her into Grand Brook Memory Care in Allen at Twin Creek. This memory care exclusive assisted living facility provided the excellent care she needed at this stage of her illness. She fitted right in with the other residents of the place and seemed as content and happy as she could be. She was always smiling. All the staff there were wonderful. Everyone was so attentive and thoughtful in taking care of each resident's needs. It was nice to see how they talked to each resident by name, as if they were family. It was so comforting for us to know that my wife was in such a loving and caring environment that would provide all the care she needed. I spent a lot of time at Grand Brook with my wife, so I got to see, first hand, how everything worked. As I was told from the beginning the residents didn't spend much time in their rooms. There were almost constant entertainment and activities. It was amazing to watch the activity directors bring each person into each activity, as much as possible depending on their capabilities and their mood at the time. The staff was also very attentive to mine and my families needs, too. It was so helpful to us during those trying times, as we were adjusting to my wife's new situation. I worked in my profession long enough to know that nothing this good just happens on it's own. The Executive Director, Jeanine Smith's hand is seen in everything that happens there. Her great selection of the proper kind of employees, their obvious thorough training and her constant monitoring of the whole operation is what makes Grand Brook in Allen such a great place. We were lucky to have found them, I will never forget all the wonderful people at Grand Brook, that provided such great care for my wife.

Since August 15, 2019 when I entrusted the care of my beautiful wife of, at the time, 64 years, I was concern with her care and well being that I was giving to Grand Brook Memory Care of Allen. From the beginning, I knew that she was receiving the finest of care available. The care givers were loving, caring and inclusive of her to make her feel that she was part of their family. They did everything to make her comfortable and an important member of her new home. The executive Director, Jeannine and the Assistant Director,, Margie had been outstanding in the leadership that they exhibited which is reflected in the performance of a stellar group of individuals. I would like to show my appreciation to all who ministered to Margaret during her residency at Grand Brook but will suffice it to mention two individuals who have a combined length of service with Grand Brook of about 50 years : Grizellda and Lester, employees who any facility would be proud to have as their employee.

I appreciate how well the Grand Brook staff knows my dad's likes and dislikes. Their insightful comments could only be made from spending quality time with him on a daily basis. Their special relationship with him was evident when they celebrated his birthday, as they do all residents' birthdays, with his favorite cake, some balloons and the music he enjoys. I could tell it made him feel very special as he hugged all the caregivers like they were close friends and family. The management including Jeanine, Margie and Alisha is very accessible and easy to talk to. Finding Grand Brook has been a blessing. Making the decision to place your loved one in a facility might just be one of the hardest decision you will ever have to make. I had a wish list of the kind of place I was hoping for – I knew I would have to compromise . . . or so I thought. While looking online, at what seemed like hundreds of facilities in numerous states, I saw the ad for Grand Brook in Allen, Texas and called. From first contact I knew this was the place. My brother moved into the Grand Brook Allen facility in January and we have never looked back. The facility is relatively small, with a small number of residents. The care is very personal and the staff loving. There are always activities going on and every resident, no matter their abilities, is included. My brother is now part of this larger family and he is thriving. I could not be more pleased with the love they have shown, the care they have given, and the peace they have brought to the whole process. I am so overjoyed with the decision to choose Grand Brook – it is absolutely the best you can do for your loved one.

Deciding who to trust with my Mothers care was a journey. We feel so amazingly blessed to have found Grand Brook in Allen. From our first contact on the phone to our Zoom calls to our visits we have found the staff to be most kind, and sharing in our concern for Moms comfort and well being. Their experience definitely provides us comfort when we find ourselves confused and frustrated with behavior we dont know how to handle. The open and fresh atmosphere of the community is far above any other ‘facility that we looked into. The staff to resident ratio is such that Mom never has to feel alone. Each and every staff member knows her by name and genuinely cares for her. Their attentiveness expands to not only the resident but to the family. You can not do better to care for your elderly parent than Grand Brook. It helps our family sleep better at night.

From the first moment going through the front doors at Grand Brook Memory Care of Allen at Twin Creeks, I could tell Mom was going to feel at home here. Truly, she had a smile on her face from the very beginning. My two main expectations are that my mom is safe and happy. Both of these have been more than met. The office staff, recreational director, nursing staff, and care takers all work together to know and meet each residents needs. I think even more importantly than this is that they love them. The roomy facility is set up to keep residents active throughout the day. My mom loves music, and she gets her dose of tunes daily. Also, the medical staff always communicates with me quickly and effectively. They immediately notify me with a concern. I am so glad that Christina and Jeanine got us involved with the Grand Brook community. Its a family to my mom (and me) and shes at home.

As a facilitator for the Caregiver Support Group at Grand Brook Memory Care of Allen, Ive heard many heartwarming caregiver stories over the past few years. Caregivers have expressed gratitude and appreciation for the many staff members who go out of their way to care for their family members. The words, It feels like family here have been expressed so often. One example was the 4th of July parade the staff put together for the residents and family members this year. As car after decorated car drove by the front patio area, residents were waving and smiling while music played and staff was attentively engaging with all the residents. This was a fun, uplifting event that reminded me of what caregivers referred to as feeling like family! During these unsettling times with Covid, many caregivers continue to say how reassuring it is to know that their loved ones are being cared for at Grand Brook, despite not being able to visit. Personally speaking, I feel blessed to know these awesome families and the many caring staff at Grand Brook!

My dad was at Grand Brook at Allen and our experience was wonderful! I would highly recommend all of the Grand Brook Memory Care facilities to anyone who needed them. My dad was seen and valued as an individual, not just another resident, and all the residents were treated this way. Their needs were met according to what they needed as an individual not in a generic manner. They were always treated with dignity and respect. It seems that Grand Brook seeks to hire staff with a heart for people with memory care needs and this makes a huge difference in the care each person receives. No place is going to be perfect but my concerns were always addressed in a prompt manner and with my dads best interest at heart. The facility is open, beautiful, and clean and very much has a family-like atmosphere. The smallest details are attended to and considered in all aspects whether it be the residents needs, their rooms, the food, dining area, and-or group areas. Our entire family loved Grand Brook at Allen and those who visited my dad were very impressed. The last 6 months of my dads life were very happy ones because of the care he received at Grand Brook at Allen! I would highly recommend Grand Brook to anyone looking for a place for a loved one with memory care issues.

Finding a place that made mom happy and at home was our primary purpose when my sister and I made the decision to place her in Grandbrook McKinney then later in Allen when they opened their newest facility. Allen offered a more open floor plan and large outdoor courtyard that we knew she would identify with as a former avid gardener. Being a nurse, I watched interactions between the staff and residents, timeliness of medications and attention to detail that in my opinion is the foundation for good care. Mom is going on a year at Allen, she will tell anyone that asks that she really likes it here. It isnt all about new and pretty but in our case she gets the benefit of excellent care along with the new and pretty.
