I recently toured Vacaville Memory Care while searching for the right community for my mom, and I came away very impressed. From the moment I arrived, I could tell this community was thoughtfully designed with residents living with memory loss in mind. What stood out most was the warm interaction between the staff and the residents. The staff were friendly, engaged, and appeared to treat the residents with genuine kindness and respect. It was also wonderful to see residents freely moving about in a secure, open environment that felt welcoming rather than restrictive. I especially appreciated that the community is dedicated exclusively to memory care. That specialization gave me confidence that the staff understand the unique needs of individuals with dementia and Alzheimer's disease. The resident rooms were a little smaller than I had expected, but that was a minor consideration compared to the overall atmosphere, layout, and level of care I observed during my visit. Overall, I left with a very positive impression of the community and its caring environment.

I am so grateful to the staff at Vacaville Memory Care who have taken great care of my father since he moved in in November 2025: my Dad was a challenging case as he had previously lived alone and my brother and I have been coming up the learning curve on what was needed for his care. Jamie, Tawsha and Camille have been very communicative with our family, patient and flexible as he has gotten settled. He is stable and happy: he enjoys the sunny gardens and joyful staff. So many wonderful things can be said about this place, and I truly can’t express enough gratitude for the care and compassion the team provides. Making the decision to place my father in memory care was one of the hardest choices I’ve ever had to make. I had been caring for him myself for the past seven years, and the thought of entrusting someone else with his care was incredibly emotional and difficult for me. The very first person I met when I came here was Tasha, and from the moment we spoke, I could tell she was something special. She truly is a literal angel. When she gave my sister and I a tour of the community, I remember turning to my sister and saying that for the first time, I wouldn’t feel heartbroken if my dad lived somewhere like this. The warmth, kindness, and genuine care from everyone we encountered was immediately clear. The environment felt welcoming and peaceful, the activities were engaging and thoughtful, and you could truly feel the love and dedication the staff has for the residents. Although my father didn’t move in right away due to some health complications that required several hospital stays, Tasha never once forgot about us. She continued to check in regularly, offering support and reassurance during a very stressful and uncertain time for our family. Her kindness and patience meant so much to us, and it showed just how deeply she cares about the families she works with. When the time finally came for my father to move in, she was ready and willing to help every step of the way. I also want to recognize the manager, Jamie, who has been absolutely incredible. Leadership makes such a difference in places like this, and it’s clear that Jamie truly sets the tone for the entire community. My father is not always the easiest person to care for, and yet the staff here have gone above and beyond to treat him with patience, dignity, and respect. Knowing he is surrounded by people who genuinely care about his well-being has given our family so much peace of mind. It’s rare to find a place where the staff not only do their jobs well but also treat residents like family. That is exactly what you will find here. The compassion, professionalism, and dedication from everyone on the team is something truly special. I cannot recommend Vacaville Memory Care enough to families who are facing the difficult decision of finding the right place for their loved one. This team truly cares, and it shows in everything they do. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to Tasha, Jamie, and the entire staff for the love, support, and exceptional care you provide every single day. It means more to our family than words can fully express.

I’ve seen a lot of care facilities in my time, and I have to say I think Vacaville Memory Care does a great job trying to accommodate the resident and family. Tawsha was very helpful in helping me go through the process of placing my husband in their care. Jamie is fantastic! She oversees the caregivers and is very hands on with the residents. She very much seems to have concern for the residents. The caregivers for my husband have been very helpful and easy to communicate with, and I appreciate that! If you are looking for a care home for your loved one, you should check them out.

Very caring and responsive to clients and family. My Aunt arrived to VMC during the transition from earlier management staff. I appreciate the efforts to adjust to individual needs and the staff suggestions to make clients comfortable. I was concerned when they had to move my Aunt from one house to another due to remodeling. It was rough on my Aunt to adjust but the staff worked with us to get her to accept her new surroundings. Before my Aunt arrived, she was losing weight and had been to the emergency room twice. After 6 weeks at VMC, she had gained enough weight to make me feel comfortable with her wellbeing. She was on a regular routine that reminder of her military days. Before, she had a random schedule based if she felt like it and most of the time she did not feel like eating. Now she looks forward to her meals. She never liked taking a shower and preferred a sponge bath washing her hair in the kitchen sink. Now she is showering regularly with assistance which I appreciate since her hands do not work very well. Well done.

I love how friendly the staff are and the activities they have with the residents. I really can feel the sense of “family” through their care and attention. Their management, Camille and Jamie, have always been so responsive with any needs we bring up, and Tawsha is an absolute superstar with speaking to family, updating us on any concerns and just being a ray of sunshine that is always needed in this world.

I called yesterday & was offered a tour the same day! even on Christmas. That is pretty impressive. I wasn't able to tour with Tasha yesterday but she met me this morning at 9am! Very dedicated to her seniors & team. I liked that she knew staffs name & introduced them. Along with some of the seniors that live there. Judy was very helpful when I asked her how she liked things. Tasha gave us a minute to chat while she helped a man fix his shirt. Judy told me that if she couldn't be home she is glad she is there. That they are not staff to her they are basically family. Although she has good a good family she still gets love & attention when they are busy. Giving me that time with Judy showed me that Tasha really believes in her facility & that staff if doing the right things. It was a great tour. I really think other people should try this place. its pretty awesome.

I visited this place last week & had a tour with Tawsha. She is very nice & knowledgeable. I was very overwhelmed & she made me feel at ease. I knew my next steps and had a clear path on what to do next and what could wait. I met the main manager Camille she was friendly and funny. Even though she was in a meeting with another manager she took time to come out & introduce herself. The tour was nice. The seniors were drumming & a hot cocoa bar was set up. I got some great hot cocoa and met the Activities staff. Everything went great & as soon as I can get a my grandma in there the better. I finally feel good about my decisions after meeting everyone.

My husband has now been at Pacifica Vacaville for over a year (following false starts at three other places that we won't talk about here). I can't recommend it enough. The staff is well-trained and really cares about the residents and their families. I know my husband is in good hands, is being treated with kindness and respect, and is living the best life he possibly can at this point in his illness. I am so thankful that Mom is living at Pacifica Senior Living. Mom is happy there and enjoys the smaller group in the pod that she lives in and has ventured out to another pod as well. She enjoys the creative activities as well as the daily exercise. The food is good and they have activities every couple of months that include family members. There is a nice outdoor area where members and family from all of the pods can enjoy. We went to the Havana party held in the outdoor area and it was wonderful. The food was delicious and we all enjoyed the band and some members even danced. The care givers are wonderful, friendly, happy and love what they do. We are thankful that Mom is well cared for, safe and happy.

My mother stayed there in October 2016 for 5 weeks (for respite care). She has dementia, but is still able to observe her surroundings and communicate. She told me that all of the caregivers are very kind here. She has not said that about the other places we have tried.
