The moment our daughter and I walked through the door of Cedarbrook Memory Care we felt a feeling of peace. The staff was genuinely caring and helpful. We were taken on a tour of the facility and introduced to the staff. Our guide was kind & caring to residents as we toured, stopping to answer questions from residents. The community has many programs throughout the day to keep the residents engaged. Lots of music and games. They have nurses 24 hours a day. I was able to have a tour of facility for my husband also. He was aware at the time that eventually we would need more help and safer environment than I could provide at home. The director of community relations patiently answered all his questions about their facility. At the end she asked my husband if he would like to live there, he replied …"Absolutely!" The staff at Cedarbrook is kind, respectful and very supportive of the residents family and friends. Leislie

I deeply appreciate the kind, dedicated and knowledgeable care my mom benefits from at Cedarbrook in Fresno and our entire family is grateful to the many simply wonderful, caring people there. There is so much that goes into helping someone at this stage of life - understanding, skill, patience, appreciation of the special needs of each individual, and just plain human kindness - and we continue to find all of these essential abilities to be abundant at Cedarbrook. To say that we are forever grateful of the staff there would be putting it quite mildly.

Cedarbrook is a fantastic memory care facility. My father lived at Cedarbrook and now my mom calls Cedarbrook home. Both had different types of memory loss symptoms and both were treated with love and respect. My mom regularly engages in activities such as painting, bingo and Sunday calming worship music. She seems happy and I can't ask for more than that. The meals are well prepared. The staff is friendly and caring. I looked at a number of facilities before settling on Cedarbrook. Some of them were so depressing that I couldn't imagine leaving my family member there. Cedarbrook feels more like a resort than a facility. I recommend Cedarbrook 100%.

Cedarbrook was such a wonderful place to work. Between the residents, their families, coworkers, vendors, etc, everyday was so heartwarming and fun. I grew so much here — personally and professionally — that I hold this community dear to my heart. I miss the residents every single day and think of them very fondly. The employees at Cedarbrook care very much for the residents and I couldn’t imagine a better place for your loved ones.

If you’re in need of finding care for your loved one.. look no further, Cedarbrook is the place to be the 3 years I worked there will never be forgotten, I started my journey as a student volunteer and soon after graduating high school I officially joined the Cedarbrook team, from there I knew the nursing field was for me. I’m so thankful for management there. Even after I left they continued to care for my nana who had to move in to Cedarbrook , but I know she’s well taken care of because of how detail oriented the Cedarbrook team is. As hard as the transition is to move in your loved one, be assured that staff will do everything in their power to make it stress free not only for you but for your loved one.

My husband and I had the exact opposite experience as the previous reviewer. We had a very good initial impression. The woman at the front desk was very nice, and called the Director, Meagan, who met with us, tried to get an idea of my fathers needs and abilities, answered every single question and then gave us a guided tour of this beautiful facility. We would feel very, very comfortable placing my father here and feel confident that he would receive excellent care.

Aaron Koelsch, Chairman of Koelsch Senior Living, asked me back in May, 2013, if I could come to Fresno to serve as the Interim Administrator for their new 68-bed Cedarbrook Memory Care Community, until they found a full time Administrator. I accepted his offer, and had the pleasure of working with the staff, and getting to know the residents and their families for 9-months. I have had a California RCFE Administrator Certificate for around 15-years, and have worked for both national and local Assisted Living-Memory Care organizations. I can say without question, that Cedarbrook Memory Care Community in Fresno has the best trained, and caring staff of any facility I have worked in. I would recommend it highly to any family that was dealing with a loved one who was suffering from dementia. I was particularly impressed with Jennifer Moorman,LVN, the Director of Community Relations. She did an outstanding in working with Families and Friends of our residents, and helped make a sometimes difficult transition for their loved one less stressful. Mike, another LVN also did an outstanding job as Director of Resident Services, and was responsible for the excellent job of recruiting and training our caregivers.

There are three reasons we chose Cedarbrook for our mother; 24-hour nursing care, she would remain in the same room and would not be moved about as her condition worsened, and the facility was some place that our family would be happy to visit. Throughout our mothers stay, Cedarbrook was all of those things and much, much more. It was her home. Making the decision to put a family member in long-term care is a difficult one. Our mother blossomed at Cedarbrook. I read letters to her extended family where she had written how much she loved it there. She developed friendships, enjoyed the daily activities, the outings, the staff and the food. It became clear, she was not just a resident, but a member of the Cedarbrook family. When our mother became terminally ill, the staff responded to her needs as well as our familys. Any concerns were quickly addressed. The staff treated all of us with the best of care, kindness, dignity and respect. We made the right choice.

Cedarbrook is such a great community to be in, as well as to work for. I started out as a receptionist and in an early time got promoted to the Administrative Assistant. The residents here are so sweet and caring, there is never a dull moment. Staff is amazing and have such great team effort, we might as well be called family. Searching for a facility to house a loved one who needs care, can be difficult and frustrating. We were fortunate to discover Cedarbrook early in our search. The difference in how we were treated in comparison to other facilities was immense. We immediately felt our questions and concerns were met with professional yet compassionate responses. All of our concerns were quickly addressed and we began to feel we had found a facility that would not only meet our loved ones needs but would exceed our expectations for her health and well being. Having made the decision to house our mother at Cedarbrook, the staff immediately guided us through the sometimes overwhelming process. Questions and needs were quickly answered and within a few days we were able to see her happily settled in her new home. Since arriving, she has been offered stimulating experiences designed to assist her both mentally and physically. Every single staff person is cheerful, kind and helpful. Its only been a few weeks but we are already seeing improvement in our mother. She enjoys the interaction with staff and residents. She loves the activities and all the attention she is receiving. Our family always feels welcome when visiting and even our youngest family members enjoy going to see her. We are so thankful we found Cedarbrook. It is a blessing to know our loved one is happy and contented in her new home.
