I recently had the opportunity to tour The Pavilion at El Dorado Hills, and I came away genuinely impressed. From the moment you arrive, the community feels welcoming, calm, and very well cared for. The exterior and grounds are immaculate, and the building itself appears fairly new or, at the very least, exceptionally well maintained. Inside, the community is just as impressive—clean, thoughtfully designed, and warmly decorated. As soon as you walk in, it feels inviting rather than institutional, which I think is incredibly important in a memory care setting. The layout is spacious and well organized, with two main wings (east and west) and a variety of common areas. Residents have access to a kitchen, study and activity rooms, exercise space, TV rooms, and multiple gathering areas designed for both small and larger groups. Everything feels intentional, comfortable, and easy to navigate. What truly stood out to me was the level of engagement offered to residents. This is a very active, well-run community. There are constant activities—birthday celebrations for residents each month, live entertainment, classes, and even chef nights where residents participate in preparing meals together. Family involvement is encouraged, and it’s clear that residents are treated as individuals, not just occupants. The living arrangements are well thought out. Some rooms are set up in a Jack-and-Jill style, allowing residents to share a bathroom while still maintaining their own private, personal space. Security is clearly a top priority, with controlled access throughout the community, giving families peace of mind that their loved ones are safe. The outdoor spaces are another highlight. Residents can enjoy secure courtyards, sit outside, and even participate in small garden areas where they can help grow vegetables and plants. These details show a real commitment to quality of life, not just basic care. The staff was consistently friendly, professional, and attentive. You can tell they genuinely take the time to get to know each resident. I also had the pleasure of speaking with Jerry Crooks, the Community Relations Manager. He was outstanding—knowledgeable, approachable, and very transparent. He clearly understands his role, takes it seriously, and represents the organization extremely well. Our conversation felt open and honest, never rushed, and never like information was being withheld. If you’re considering memory care for a family member, I highly recommend scheduling a tour of The Pavilion at El Dorado Hills. I believe you’ll see what I saw: a warm, secure, thoughtfully run community where residents are treated with dignity, care, and respect. One question I didn’t think to ask during my visit was whether the community offers a secure online portal or website where family members who live far away can log in to see photos or updates of their loved one participating in activities.

Here's a draft review based on your experience: --- Review for The Pavilion, El Dorado Hills, CA I entrusted my mother to The Pavilion in El Dorado Hills for memory care support, and I am deeply disappointed by the experience. While the facility is marketed as five-star and priced accordingly, the reality fell far short, and my mother suffered because of it. The facility was consistently understaffed and undertrained for the level of care required for memory care residents. This lack of proper support meant my mother did not receive the attention and assistance she needed. The quality of the food was subpar — more reflective of a two-star facility than the five-star care they claim to offer. In one particularly disturbing incident, my mother was eating with other residents in the dining area and was struck on the head by another male resident who exhibited aggressive behavior. This happened because of inadequate supervision and poor management of the residents’ needs and safety. For the premium cost, one would expect exceptional care, compassion, and a well-run program. Unfortunately, The Pavilion's actual service and care were severely lacking. I cannot recommend this facility to anyone looking for quality memory care for their loved ones!

I was employed as a Sales & Marketing Manager under Mosaic Management at The Pavilion of El Dorado Hills. I made staff aware of my current family emergency before my start date. I was commited to attend out-of-state training yet vocalized how I felt harassed & discrinmated against for taking off work to care for family member. I stated that i was fully committed to flying out if state the following week. The first week of my employment I had no access to any computers or set training goals. The ED [name removed] falsified documents stating I was non-communicative & could not fulfill my role. I felt the incivility in the lack of professionalism or duty to care for staff or staff families as I was terminated without proper notice my first week without any opportunity to resolve any comminication issues for taking off 2days to attend to my Dad's terminal illness( after i was told to go care for my dad).If management treats their staff this way - I wouldn't place my family member there.

My father in-law has been at The Pavillion for over a year now. I am truly impressed with the caring, attitude of the entire staff. If a resident is in need and any staff, management, cleaning, care aid is there, the person will stop and help the resident. It is always clean, and there are no smells such as urine or strong cleaners. The facility is new, and tastefully decorated. They are great at communicating any needs the resident has, and any falls, or if the resident is not feeling well. My FIL likes the food. There are fun activities to do, and events where they invite the family to attend. They bring in singers, children who carol and more. We feel blessed to have my FIL live here.
