Mom has been at Grand Brook Greenwood just over a year and we remain pleased with our choice of facilities. Aesthetically, Grand Brook cannot be beat. The facility is clean and well maintained. Mom regularly reports the food is good. Most important is the quality of care provided and the day-to-day interaction between staff and residents. We have consistently witnessed loving, friendly, and kind behaviors displayed by staff toward residents. Families are welcomed and communication is open in dealing with any issue that arises. Staff structures daily activities for residents and offer many special events throughout the year. A few staff members go above and beyond to bring joy to residents who are made to feel valued, loved, and secure. The memory care journey is not an easy one and Grand Brook Greenwood has been a great fit for our family.

We were blessed to find Grand Brook for respite care for my mother, as we have not sought permanent memory care residence for her yet. Grand Brook is the only place we have found that offers respite with no minimum stay requirement. The staff is amazing! They are so kind, and you can see in their interactions with her that they truly care for her. I never question if my mother is in good hands while she is at Grand Brook. They send videos and pictures of the activities she participates in to keep me in the loop. The facility is very clean and modern, and I would absolutely consider Grand Brook when it is time to seek permanent residence for my mother.

Choosing to move your loved one to a care facility is difficult decision. Finding the right place is even harder. India Glenn at Grand Brook made the decision easier. We met with India several months ago and toured the beautiful facility. We loved the homey atmosphere of Grand Brook. There are no nurses stations because the nurses and staff are out and about with the residence interacting at all time. The facility is clean with no smell of laundry or that "hospital facility" that you get at many other places. The resident's rooms feel like small apartments. Our grandmother is in a single room, has her own spacious bathroom, and plenty of room for clothes, necessities, and comfort items within the room. And the staff is so friendly and helpful. We cannot express how great India has been to work with. While living at home, our grandmother fell and broke her hip. India communicated with our grandfather, the hospital, and the rehab facility to help with the move to Grand Brook. She worked with our grandfather to answer his questions, alleviate his concerns, and to be a resource for him through the whole process of hospital to rehab to memory care. She even went to the rehab facility to pick up the necessary paperwork when they were dragging their feet on getting it sent over for grandma's transfer. India has been an invaluable help to our family through this process. If you are looking for a clean, bright, friendly and comfortable place for your loved one, we encourage you to meet with India and tour the facility. We believe you will be as blown away as we were.

I toured this facility while looking for placement for my grandmother. I have been to a handful of other senior living communities/nursing homes and I can say, hands down, Grand Brook is different in a good way. India, the Sales and Marketing Manager is AMAZING! She was so kind, professional yet personable, and took us on a tour as soon as we got there. I had previously spoken to her on the phone when narrowing down facilites and she was so kind then as well. First of all, the facility is SO CLEAN! All pleasant smells around the entire facility (and yes, I walked around the entire building). The staff is unmatched, the LPN who assessed my grandma basically assessed her without her knowing it - which shows years of nursing experience. She was also very kind and patient when my grandmother would share her old nursing stories. Before the tour, we were given a folder with a lot of information that was in an easy/quick to read layout to answer a lot of our questions. The building is a large circle and there is a community garden/outdoor sitting area outside for the residents to go out to as they please - it is safe and locked and they can only go outside or inside the building - I love that! The rooms are quite spacious and clean. We will be moving my grandmother in tomorrow and I am so excited for her to meet new friends and get involved in this community. They also have outings every week for the residents - rotating men and women each week. I am thankful I used all my senses when touring other facilities and happy that Grand Brook appears to be the best one in town. I plan to post another review after my grandmother has been living there for a month or so.

I am new to Grand Brook of Greenwood, but not too new to have witnessed such a loving facility starting with the owners, the executive director, nursing, housekeeping, activities, kitchen staff and maintenance. I have worked in several healthcare settings, though I have never worked in an environment such as this before. To witness these residents happily enjoying possibly the remainder of their lives in such a quaint, harmonious setting is so rewarding to see and be a part of that. I feel as this could very well be where i plant my roots as a staff member. The facility itself is clean, very stylish decor and arctitectually beautiful and just gives you a good feeling just being there because it delights the senses. The sunny breezeways are such a nice touch that create openness and warmth. The courtyards are stunning to say the least, but the magic that exists between the staff and the residents is something that I would find peace with allowing one of my own loved ones to reside there. Creme de la creme. I'm here to stay.

I cannot say enough about Grand Brook. The nurses, aides, office staff, administration, chefs, maintenance - everyone at the facility makes it possible for me to sleep at night, work during the day, etc. and be confident that my mom is getting the very best care possible. I have never had a problem getting a response from anyone. I feel comfortable asking questions about Mom and her care. I have had other family members in other facilities and not felt near as confident in the care that a loved one is receiving. Grand Brook's "normal" would be considered way above and beyond at any other facility. They make us feel welcome and a part of the GB family. We are blessed to have found such a wonderful home for my mom.

Warning: this is long ... but its important!Five stars is not enough! At the time we needed Grand Brook for our Mother, we were not new to care facilities. As her dementia progressed, we proceeded through an assisted living facility, then another assisted living facility that was more geared toward dementia, and then finally memory care. We are a very involved family, and are fortunate that Mom was well cared for at every facility ... until she got to memory care. We had moved her to a well-recommended facility, and were assured they could meet all of her needs. The reality was quite different. After a string of very serious safety concerns, it was glaringly evident that we needed to move her, and quickly. Grand Brook was a newly opened facility, so we decided to talk to them. Their immediate concern was OUR MOM. Not money, not how much staff would be required for her care, just simply that they firmly felt that they could not only meet all of her medical and physical needs, but also all of her personal needs ... picking cute outfits, jewelry, food likes and dislikes, etc. They were acutely aware that we had grave concerns about her current safety, and they were able to get her entry to Grand Brook fast tracked. She was moved in and settled within 48 hours. Mom lived at Grand Brook for 4 months before she passed away, and Grand Brook lived up to every promise they made to us, and beyond!

Discovering the onset of our mothers memory problems was a completely unexpected event. When we were advised that Mom would need full-time care we scrambled to learn about our options. In the course of visiting different facilities we learned that stability would be a difficult thing to find. Service was uneven in many memory care facilities and staff turnover tended to be high. Most families said that it required constant vigilance by the family to ensure that their loved one received the proper care. Therefore, we are so grateful that Grand Brook Memory Care of Greenwood has proven the exception to the rule. The staff is professional, well-trained, steady, and - most of all - they genuinely care for our Mom and treat her as one of their own. Although her condition is a progressive one, we still see ways in which she thrives because of the daily and focused attention she receives from the people at Grand Brook. Obviously, the recent restrictions put on care facilities due to COVID has been an additional challenge for the GB staff, something they have managed with a conscientious grace. We highly recommend Grand Brook Memory Care of Greenwood.

I am so blessed to be apart of the Grand Brook Family! This team at Greenwood is the most amazing team I have EVER had the privilege of working with. The CNAs are not ur typical caregivers they go above and beyond in everything they do. We have the cream of the crop! Our life enrichment manager is a new Graduate of Ball State and brings a lot of education regarding dementia. We focus on sensory, touch and all the activities the residents used to love. We focus on there needs even if it is sitting holding their hand. Yes our staff sits and holds hands with them. Yes we have a beautiful building but it takes more than just beauty, it takes dedicated individuals that makes us stand out! We are different than most communities. Our staff receives 24 hours of dementia training upon hire and ongoing education is provided. We at Grand Brook Greenwood have a family concept, not only with our residents, but their families and each other. I have been in the Healthcare field for 30+ years and have always wanted a place to work that everyone supported each other, dream job? Maybe, but we have it and it shows with our care. It makes a difference! We have seen our residents come to us sad and depressed to watching them laugh, smile and even communicate more. Do I believe we are the best! I know we are the best!

After moving my 98 year old mother twice in a matter of 30 days, we have finally found such a wonderful place for her to enjoy herself. She is happy and content and is so well taken care of. The staff at Grand Brook go the extra mile to make each day filled with happiness for their residents. STOP! If you are reading reviews and searching for a memory care facility for your loved one then please take the time to read this. Our mother had Alzheimers-dementia just like her mother and sisters before her. Im not going to go into detail about our experiences at other facilities but by the time I got to Grand Brook and met Jim I was pretty jaded by all of it. The first time I met with Jim I wouldnt even give him any information! I was tired of the prior marketing spiels and to be honest, they quickly failed to live up to it. I toured the Grand Brook building and it had only been open a few months so it was very beautiful but I was past that. While we did want nice surroundings for our mother its the people inside that make or break a place. Remember, we were very seasoned and jaded by this point!So to make a long story short we did our research and talked to other children of residents and they all had great things to say. We ended up moving mom to Grand Brook and we were so happy And grateful with the care she received. When we moved her in we kept seeing different employees from other facilities that were our favoritesUnfortunately, our mother only lived there for 4 months before she passed away very peacefully. We will be eternally grateful for the care she received during her last few months.The director, nurses, CNAs and all the employees were so kind and caring. Sometimes its hard to see what our loved ones ‘used to be like before this horrible disease. They got it! We were a very involved family and they never made us feel like they didnt want us there. Every facility will have hiccups now and then but I felt things were dealt with quickly and fairly. Although our mother is no longer there Im anxious for COVID to be over so we can go in and see everyone!

This place is amazing. Beautifully designed with an open atmosphere. The staff is delightful, cheerful and supportive. The care they have given my dad surpasses my expectations. The food there is excellent. Healthy and delicious. My dads mental state has improved tremendously in such a short time. He is always smiling, laughing and singing. Such a wonderful change for him. I cannot say enough good things about Grand Brook. I felt as though I was in a world all alone, struggling to do the best for my dad, and they have become the best support team you could ask for.

From the moment we decided to make Grand Brook home for Mom, everything has exceeded expectations. The caregivers are first-rate, compassionate, and professional.
