Nursing and Executive director have no idea how to deal with families and dementia people. No compassion and condescending.

Terrible, they do not understand memory care at all!!!! All lies and fake personalities. I guess that what you get when you have lpn’s in charge. Do not send your loved one here.

My grandmother lived at Bridges for a few years. My family was impressed by the caring staff, clean and modern facilities, delicious food, and enrichment activities available. It was very difficult for my family to deal with my grandmother's Alzheimer's diagnosis, certainly no one plans for something like that. But she was content and well cared for at Bridges and was able to live her life with dignity and peace. As difficult as her illness was, I knew that she would always be safe. If you are skeptical about moving your family member here, please know this is the furthest thing from a nursing home possible, residents are here to LIVE despite their disease. Thank you for all you did for my grandmother!

Compassionate care and excellent management with support for both residents and their loved ones during a challenging time

I can't say enough great things about this facility and the employees! They helped me with a very difficult and complicated situation and did everything they could to place a resident here. Kevin the director is so helpful and responsive. Mandy is also amazing to work with. The caregivers are so friendly and patient with the residents. You can tell that everyone who works here cares deeply about their residents and providing a safe and comfortable home. Ginger the cat is also a nice welcoming touch!

Don't let the welcoming lobby, manicured courtyards, and positive review by employees here distract you. Bridges does a good job of making the facility look bright, clean, and homey. The activity calendar is impressive. But most of the revolving door personal care aides who work here and give your loved one actual hands-on assistance are some of the least compassionate, least trained, cold and uncaring hourly workers I could imagine for a facility that's supposedly dedicated to the fragile memory care community. It seems like zero dementia care training or supervision is done for these workers by the management. One of them even asked: What is Alzheimer's? Mind blown. The mgmt will nod and yes your concerns if you share them, but nothing changes. When you're spending this much money to provide your loved one the best possible care and quality of life at the end of their journey, Bridges should provide MUCH better. Sadly, they don't. Look elsewhere.

I am a private caregiver for a patient at bridges in Hingham. My patient recently moved to a corner room with a lot of light giving her a great outdoor view. She is happy there. I am impressed with the staff, particularly the combination of people I met this past weekend on the Saturday afternoon/evening shift. From the kitchen to wellness, nursing and activities, all of them so calm, kind and caring to all the residents. They were also more patient than I've seen on a shift in a long time given the often difficult issues of everyone there being memory impaired Alzheimer's residents and the complex anxieties and behaviors that go with this type of disease. I've been in my job for thirty eight years and have known countless caregivers in both facilities and in home care, but the staff this particular evening shift was by far, the most consistent and caring team I've seen. It was a hard shift and not one person was less than 100% in my opinion. JoAnn A.

First off I want to say how proud I am to work at such an amazing community. From the moment you walk in the concierges are warm and welcoming. The caregivers are kind, compassionate, loving, professional, but take care of the residents like they're family. The wellness director Mandy goes above and beyond to tend to each and every one of the residents to make sure they have the best care they possibly can. Housekeeping always is quick when they are called and verry efficient, the place smells great. The cooks put alot of thought and effort into their dining experience, and it shows. There is never a dull moment because the life enrichment director always has great ideas for everyone to enjoy and it never fails. To see all the smiles on the faces of the residents says it all. I would highly recommend bridges by epoch at hingham.

It's been a stressful week researching memory care residences for my loved one. Shout out to Kevin D who went above and beyond to accommodate a last minute appointment, answer all my questions, and put me at ease. This residence is new, spacious, and clean. The outdoor area is lovely and HUGE. The staff were visibly friendly, outgoing and kind to residents and visitors alike. They have a nurse 24/7 which the other communities we visited do not. They are at the top of our list!

Placing a loved one in memory care is never an easy decision. As I considered places for my mom I had lots of questions. Bridges Hingham stood out right from the beginning of my process as they are an organization that shows FAMILIES the kindness and care they show their residents. They assisted me in all steps of the process with transparency and patience as I weighed various options. Sure enough, once Mom moved in, the kindness just abounds. Excellent staff, wonderful routine of activities, cozy "neighborhoods" where Mom feels safe and cared for. There is a real joy in this place! Bridges knows dementia and applies best practices to the care of their residents. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

Epoch is slick with sales. They give you the impression that your loved one will be given tons of individual attention and have activities tailor-made to their interests. Um, no. My mother was here for years. Let's face it, eldercare is a rip off; world cruises are cheaper. Harvard is cheaper. Bang for your buck? Not so much. If your loved one ever needs extra care - - with mobility issues, for instance -- you will have to hire outside help to be with them (I hope you like spending more money!) The reality of the matter is that it's a bunch of poorly paid women who are trying to hold it all together. Someone is making a TON of money and it's not the people in the trenches. Did I mention my mother's engagement ring disappeared? I phoned my mom every day. One time, I could tell she was sick; I contacted nursing who said she had a little cough. Next thing I knew, I got a call in the middle of the night to ask if they could phone an ambulance. It's a revolving door of staff, from the Executive Director on down. That tells you something. Compared to other companies in the area...it seemed like the best option, but...oof. That said, I really admired a former Executive Director, John Moniz, who was compassionate, hardworking, and transparent; I appreciated his monthly zoom meetings with families. Under his tireless leadership, Bridges did OUTSTANDINGLY well during Covid. Also, there were some incredibly lovely women who worked for this company whom I respect tremendously. When my mom got back from the hospital, there was a little enclave of loving Women of the Trenches who quietly hung out in her room, glad to see she was better. Just don't expect too much.

My mother was a resident here and was cared for by angels. The staff are unparalleled — patient, thoughtful, sweet, fun, calm, caring, making so many extra efforts — always. They made a difficult time special, soulful, and joy-filled. My mum passed away more than a year ago and I still stop by to visit, the people still feel like family and the place feels soothing, happy, and like home. I would look nowhere else.

I have been a devoted nurse assistant for over ten years now, and let me tell you.. I have worked in every setting possible, from hospitals to nursing homes and everywhere in between. At this point, it's safe to say, I have seen it all! For almost a year now, I have been coming to Bridges by EPOCH in Hingham through an agency to provide care for the amazing residents here. This facility is by far the BEST facility I have ever been to!! ALL the staff here truly care about their residents and they provide OUTSTANDING care! What I love here the most is the division of 3 households under one roof. This allows a more intimate and comfortable setting for residents. This place has become my home away from home, with residents I love and care for like family. I can not recommend a place more highly. Take a tour and meet the staff. They are fantastic! The facility is very nice and clean, and very well maintained. Perfect place for your loved ones needing additional care.

I own a local private home care company so we have clients in several communities in the area and we recently helped a client transition from their home of 56 years to Bridges in Hingham. We have worked with this person for years so we will miss them but the staff at Bridges is wonderful and I know that the client is in good hands. I would recommend this community to anyone.

My mother in law has been a resident at Hingham Bridges for 1-1-2 years. The facilities, staff, and activities are wonderful. They have not had any Covid infections since the pandemic began. The residents are not in their rooms except to sleep. They spend time in their living areas socializing together, and there are large living room and kitchen-dining areas where the friends are all together. Clean, bright, sunny, and the staff are cheerful and caring. Each wing has about 16 residents, and they all have access to large sunny courtyards that are beautifully landscaped, with paved pathways for walks, and rocking chairs, tables and umbrellas for visiting and socializing. The residents can go out to the courtyard on their own during nice weather. Each day there is a full calendar of activities, even during the pandemic. They continue to bring entertainment in--and have had several concerts and activities outdoors in the courtyards, and indoors while everyone is wearing masks and is socially distanced. They do crafts, memory activities, games, art and there is a lot of one on one time. There is also a hair salon on site, and the dentist and podiatrist visit monthly for anyone needing appointments. My husband, my mother in law and I could not be happier with her care. They even somehow make her ground food medical requirement tasty as their chef really cares! We have loved bringing our dog with us while we visit and the entire staff and residents are welcoming and happy. We have also enjoyed bringing my mother in law across the street to the shops and restaurants at the Hingham Shipyard. Lately the visits have been very safe, structured and outdoors because of the health crisis, but overall, we highly recommend Bridges in Hingham!
