Our mother has been at Arden Court for about nine months, and is better now than she had been for the previous 2-3 years. She is less stressful, feels comfortable and is highly engaged. She hasn't asked about going home for months now. The staff - particularly Erin and Joan - are wonderful to work with.

We had our mom here for about 3 months, then we moved her to the Remington. Once she got to the Remington they immediately had her take a shower as she was not clean. While at Arden, she had contracted scabies (there was an outbreak) yet they never told us until I asked their staff about her scratching. I am high risk and could have brought that home to my family. They should have informed the families, even if the diagnosis wasn't in yet (it was later confirmed as scabies). My mom's POA had to resubmit documents several times to allow me access to ask about my mom's medical history and care. Some of the Arden staff kept denying that they had such paperwork, while others told me they had received it. Their admin / organization is a mess and the left hand often doesn't know what the right is doing. Mom's room was small and had no private shower. The communal shower is in need of major repair. There were 50+ ants on the dining area wall on the first day she moved into Arden. Thankfully, they were gone a day later after I had notified our social worker. The care staff are always pleasant when I see them and a few genuinely cared about my mom. Those few are the only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars. While no facility is perfect, there are other, nicer ones for the same price. I do not recommend this facility.

We brought our Mom to this place and was discharged after a month to move to another facility. The staff who took care of them seemed friendly however I feel their administrative work needs improvement. Our mother developed a few conditions while living there and well I do understand her dementia made things difficult to her, she received an infection or two that we were trying to get resolved. We are thankful for looking after her, but we needed to get her out due to the small space available for her. We wish Arden's administrative would have been more organized when taking care of our mother. I will not go into details however as soon as she moved to another location, the first thing they had to do was give her a shower due to her being as dirty as she was. For what was being paid and the care she was receiving and number of issues and infections she had staying at Arden, we were eager to get her out of there. The facility we have her in now is much bigger and pays about the same price.

If you have a loved one with any form of dementia Arden Courts is the best place! This is our story: My dad was a resident for 15 months and passed in 2019. He received excellent care! In 2021 mom was unable to live in her home because of dementia. Since she still had enough memory that she would have remembered Arden Courts, we made the decision to move her into memory care in one of the new senior living facilities that has both personal care and memory care. Please don't be fooled by these facilities where memory care is a marketing tool. They are not equipped to care for your loved one as the disease progresses. There was a minimum of activities, the staff turnover was great, and many were not adequately trained in caring for memory care residents. We made the decision to later move mom to Arden Courts. The management (Joan, Penny and Erin) welcomed us back with open arms…telling me that we were part of the Arden Courts family! What a surprise and comfort to see that the majority of the employees were still there that had cared for my dad 4 years previously (even more amazing when you think that they all stayed during the pandemic). There is a display in the lobby that shows the number of years the employees have been there. Arden Courts provides appropriate activities throughout the day. The staff are highly skilled in dealing with residents at various stages of dementia. Mom received wonderful care while at Arden Courts. The staff at Arden Courts care for the residents (and families) with love and respect as they are struggling with a horrible disease. When looking for a care facility for your loved one, it is the staff and management that are most important. Our family will be forever grateful for the blessing they were in our lives. These wonderful people at Arden Courts are experts in caring for dementia residents.

We recently had one of our residents admit to Ardon Court in North Hills and all my care staff can't say enough about the community and staff. They all were over accommodating and offered a warm welcome to our patient and to our care team. It is refreshing to see and work with healthcare individuals who truly care about the patient. Thanks for making a difference and for taking great care of our patient. Kathy Dienert, Community Liaison Suncrest Hospitce.

If you have a loved one with any form of dementia Arden Courts is the best place! This is our story: My dad was a resident there for 15 months and passed in 2019. He received excellent care! In 2021 mom was unable to live in her home because of dementia. Since she still had enough memory that she would have remembered Arden Courts, we made the decision to move her into memory care in one of the new senior living facilities that has both personal care and memory care. Please don’t be fooled by these facilities where memory care is a marketing tool. They are not equipped to care for your loved one as the disease progresses. Although we were told about lots of activities and trained staff, we observed that this was not the case. There were a few good caregivers, but overall, the staff and management were constantly changing and they hadn’t been taught the skills needed to care for a dementia resident. However, Mom was settled and we knew just moving her would cause her dementia to spiral downward. Fast forward 2 years and her dementia was beginning to progress more rapidly. Lots of falls and confusion. The tipping point was a traumatic injury from an unexplained fall from a wheelchair while with a caregiver. This resulted in a trauma hospital visit because a piece of the wheelchair was embedded in her body, a fracture to her ankle and a terrible infection that required hospitalization. Upon discharge, we moved mom to Arden Courts. The management (Joan, Penny and Erin) welcomed us back with open arms…telling me that we were part of Arden Court family! What a surprise and comfort to see that the majority of the employees were still there that had cared for my dad 4 years previously (even more amazing when you think that they all stayed during the pandemic). In fact, there is a display in the lobby that shows the number of years the employees have been there. At the previous facility the staff turnover from the executives to caregiving staff was unbelievable. At Arden Courts, I was able to witness the activities and care provided to the residents in different stages of dementia. Mom received wonderful care while at Arden Courts, but sadly passed away after only 11 days. In that time, she and I were comforted by the wonderful staff and I will be forever grateful for the blessing they were in our lives. The staff at Arden Courts treat the residents with love and respect as they are struggling with a horrible disease. When looking for a care facility for your loved one, it is the staff and management that are most important. These wonderful people are experts in caring for dementia residents.

My loving mother has been at Arden Courts since December 5, 2023. I toured 6 facilities, Arden Courts being my last tour. You know the saying, "You save the best till last"! Erin came to assess mom & that visit was like an old friend visiting. Moms transition was so easy but the hardest decision I have made. Erin took mom by the hand & took her to coffee with other female residents & I knew all was going to be ok. Mom was in a downward slope with her deamentia upon entering Arden & now she is thriving, happy & very content. I can't say enough about the staff. The care & love of the staff with each resident are so comforting. Arden Courts is certainly a blessing!

My mom has been a resident for a year, and I have been extremely pleased with Arden Courts of North Hills. The care is absolutely fantastic. The activities are absolutely fantastic. All of the staff is wonderful! It is very evident that everyone who works there truly cares about every resident. This includes ALL staff…caregivers, nurses, maintenance, kitchen, activities, administration etc. EVERYONE knows all the residents by name, and treats them with love and respect. It warms my heart to know my mother is loved and cared for, and enjoying her time there.

I rarely take the time to send a written compliment unless the level of service is extraordinary. In the case of Joan Ealy and her entire team at Arden Courts of North Hills, every aspect of my mom's care along with general concern for our family was BEYOND extraordinary! To give you reference my brothers and I placed my mom in her first memory care facility in 2018 after visiting a few facilities in the area. At that time, we thought we were doing the right thing until we realized that my mom's care was below sub-par. We then researched a sparkling new facility and put her name in to be one of the first resident's once the new facility was opened. This facility was different then all the rest because they touted that they had a behavioral based philosophy on how a dementia patient should be treated based on science. This was the snake oil that convinced us this was THE PLACE. We attended seminars by doctors explaining the science behind the concept and it put us at ease knowing our mom would be cared for based on science. So after a year from hell in place #1 we moved our mom into the shiny new place #2. Why wouldn't we? The place was brand new, very, very pretty and had this, well what we thought was an experienced staff. Unfortunately, place #2 had consistent turn over and towards the end, one of the executive assistants was managing the memory care building. When an emergency occurred (and there were MANY) the care was atrocious and lawsuits were by the dozen. We chose not to go the lawsuit route because in the end we did not want money, we just wanted our mom to be taken care of properly and with dignity. Unfortunately, our mom was kicked out of place #2 ultimately due to the effects of a simple UTI. They 302'd our mom to a psych ward at a local hospital. The hospital provided us with a placement firm to help us find place #3. We were obviously devastated that this happened but it was also a blessing in disguise because we found Joan and Arden Courts of North Hills. From the very first meeting, my brother and I agreed that this place was different from the others. It was the manner in which our case was handled, which was with complete compassion and desire to help that made the difference. Our past experience was that the elder care facilities were always understaffed and had consistent turnover. So to our surprise when we walked into Arden Courts of N Hills and saw the longevity of the staff, it was the answer we had been searching for the whole time. I describe Arden Courts to my friends and family as the place where the staff is there because they want to be there to care for others, it is their life's calling. They are not there to merely collect a paycheck, this is their passion and it is seen in every staff member from the executive director, to the caregivers, chef's, maintenance, office staff and activities director. My background is in corporate training so my life's work is built around being able to provide our employees with the best training possible so that we gain and retain customers based on their compassion for our customers. The Arden Courts of N Hills staff has embraced this concept and it should be the example that you use throughout all of the ProMedica facilities training. Our mom passed back on January 18, 2022 and even that experience was handled with compassion and respect unlike any we had experienced in the past. Please continue using Arden Courts of N Hills as the example of what excellence looks like and your business will stand out against the shiny new facilities. Sincerely, a family caregiver

I want to thank Chantel and Debra for taking care of my mom Bobbie tonight. They were amazing with my mom. My mom Bobbie suffers with dementia. Mom is clean and the bed rooms spotless there. Three cheers to the staff. My mom wasn’t even walking or eating on her own anymore. In just two weeks she’s walking and using a fork to feed herself. Thank you so much and especially a big thank you to the nurses Debra and Chantel. From Bobbies daughter Cindy ❤️❤️❤️❤️

My Dad was a resident of Arden Courts for 15 months. The decision to move Dad into a facility was very difficult. The entire staff from administration, caregivers, activities, housekeeping and dining were friendly, welcoming and caring. Activities were offered all through out the day and the staff quickly found ways to involve him. Our family is very appreciative to Arden Courts for the patience, love and caring that was shown to Dad and our family.

My husband lived at Arden Court for a year and a half. After his diagnosis with early onset Alzheimers, we moved back home so he could specify stay there. Im not going to lie, my husband was not an easy person to deal with. However, the entire staff was so patient and understanding. They always made him and our family feel comfortable and loved. He received exceptional care from the moment he got there until he passed. Thank you Arden Court for all that you do.

My Dad entered Arden Courts in October, 2019. It was a hard decision for our family but it had really reached the point of how to keep Dad safe. Arden Courts could keep Dad safe. What we didnt know then was that they would do so much more for Dad and for us. The staff is beyond amazing. Dad was engaged in activities morning, afternoon and evening. The staff got to know him and found ways to engage him that suited his needs. Having spent a lifetime in the business community dad was quickly put to work helping with activities, keeping track of paperwork, bottom line he was made to feel needed and competent. Every staff person called him by name, called members of our family by name and made us feel welcome anytime we walked through the doors. One of my fondest memories is when I had taken Dad out for the afternoon and brought him to my house and after a few hours, he asked me if I could take him home. Home was Arden Courts. As Dads condition deteriorated Arden Courts communication and support was excellent. Our family will forever be grateful to Arden Courts.

There are too many staff members to name but we wanted to let them know we appreciate what they did for our mom.We are grateful for the care they provided. Thank you for everything.
