I recently worked with a client moving into Truewood Independent Living. The process was so smooth and effortless. She said she needed a doggie door installed for her screen and they did that for her. Free of charge. The business office and front desk always smiling and helpful. John in Sales and Marketing was super supportive and made my client feel very comfortable. And Gerardo the Executive Director spent a lot of time explaining and signing the paperwork. Wonderful team to work with. And the price is right for independent living in Roseville. Thank you Truewood I will definitely be bringing my clients to you!

My mother has been here for five years now and she loves it! They offer a lot of outings and activities which is great because my mom is very active and loves to keep busy. Truewood is my home for the past year and a half and it has many wonderful employees. My favorite is Stephanie who manages the housekeepers and is always willing to go the extra mile to keep my living spaces in top shape. She is also the top decorator for all the seasons for our facility.

I have been a resident of Truewood at Merrill in Modesto for three years and the most distinguishing characteristic that sticks in my mind about my time here has been the community. I had previously resided alone, and due to health issues, it was decided that it would be a good idea to move to an independent residential living facility. I found another family at Truewood. The community cares for, and watches out, for each other. There is also a myriad list of activities that are provided for community members to participate in. The staff are also invested in providing the best possible service to the residents by holding a monthly management and a chef meeting with residents.

I have lived here at Truewood for about 2 1/2 years. I enjoy our community. There is always activity in our activity room and outings to restaurants and once a month to the casinos. Come for a tour and see first hand how much we can do.

Exemplary community! The environment and well being of the residents is an obvious top priority at Truewood in Modesto. Personnel is extremely friendly and helpful, as are each and every resident. Workers as well as residents all speak very highly of Truewood. The community always looks, smells, and is kept very clean. The outside grounds both front and back are pretty, well maintained, safe, and comfortable to sit and read, walk, or be outside just to enjoy the beautiful weather and scenery. There are multiple activities planned daily for residents to engage in, should they choose to participate and become involved. Games, exercise classes, crafts, sing alongs, outings, all intended to build relationships and stimulate the mind and body of residents. Often times, there are special monthly holiday events which are spectacular - enjoyed equally by employees and residents. From top management, director, housekeeping, maintenance, front desk, activity director, and salon, all are professional and very responsive. It is a real sense of family at Truewood, a genuine, loving, caring community where residents thrive.

I haven't seen my Father in law this happy, in a very long time. He thoroughly is enjoying himself meeting new people, having a sense of community. Since my Mother in law passed he was lonely...he told us this was the best decision he has made to become a resident here. Thank you all

This place has been such a joy to deal with. I placed an elderly gentleman friend of ours in there in July 2020. He’s very happy there. I love love love the staff and their professionalism. They remember your name and alway have a pleasant greeting for all who enter. If you ever have to deal with a Jessica there you will see what I mean. She’s alway happy and very accommodating above and beyond what I’m sure her job requires of her. If I could I’d live there. I really really like that place. I saw the food an it looks really good!

Decor is getting worn and shabby. Staff turnover is too high, and most food servers are 15 - 16 years old and lack proper training. Residents consistently complain about the food with good reason. In 4 years the Managment has not been responsive to requests made to remove the standard bathtub for my 91 year old mother, and put in a STEP-IN conversion. This is critical safety issue which they deem not with-in their budget! Be very, VERY careful as the management will promise ANYTHING and deliver minimum service!

This place is sweet. They have an elevator, offer meals, have a barrage of activities offered for their residents as well as housekeeping. The staff is welcoming and accomodating. There's a space for utilizing computers and a movie room too.
